About: I have lifelong experience raising and caring for pets, including raising my own Akita from 9 weeks old up to 14 years. Navigating his senior years gave me deep, hands-on experience with elder pet care and specialized needs. I've also raised a second Akita, care for a cat, and have professional experience working at a doggy daycare kennel. I am incredibly responsible, attentive, and passionate about giving every animal the dedicated care they deserve! I work full-time as a school paraprofessional and get off work at 3:30 PM. This means my late afternoons and evenings are completely dedicated to dog walking, drop-in visits, and cat care! I am also fully free and available all day on weekends for flexible pet sitting. Here is a ready-to-use paragraph for that **"Safety, trust & environment"** section in **image_3.png**! It combines your responsible background, your experience with both dogs and cats, and exactly how you'll care for their homes: > "When caring for pets in your home, safety, structure, and respect are my absolute top priorities. Because of my background, I am highly reliable, detail-oriented, and excellent at maintaining consistent routines to keep your pets feeling safe and stress-free. I have personal experience managing a multi-pet home with both a dog and a cat, so I know exactly how to keep everyone happy and secure. I strictly follow all feeding, walking, and household instructions, ensure all doors and gates are locked tight, and will always leave your home clean and respected.
About: I grew up with a dog that we lost at age 15, then I adopted a senior dog who I had for five years afterward. He had a variety of health issues I had to administer medication for, including epilepsy and arthritis. In March of 2024, I adopted a puppy, so I now have experience with younger dogs as well. I allow drop off/pickup between 8AM and 8PM. I work from home full time, M-F from 9AM - 6PM. I can take your dog out to pee numerous times throughout the day and can take them on longer walks 1-2 times per day, weather permitting. I only board dogs who are fully house trained and can be left alone for a few hours at a time as I do not offer constant care. Please bring all of your dog’s supplies as I live in an apartment and don’t have extras: food, bed, treats, bowls, toys, chews/enrichment, leash and collar, and anything else you want to send them with to feel comfortable. I have poop bags and some toys they can share with my dog. I can only accept bookings with dogs who are friendly with others, as I have a dog of my own. If they do not seem comfortable together I have a baby gate I can use to separate them. My dog stays in her crate whenever I leave my home. Please note that I do not let dogs I am sitting sleep in my bedroom so they will be sleeping by themselves in whatever bed or crate you provide in my living room.
“Amazing. Amanda went above and beyond taking care of our grumpy old lady and rambunctious kitten! She followed all of my ridiculous instructions and sent lots of photos and video. I can tell that she loves animals and cares for them as if they are her own. Great communication too. We will def be requesting to book again! Thank you so much!”

“She is the best and most patient sitter I have ever met. She not only did a fantastic job she helped my Dino start to get over his anxiety! Work in progress as it’s a journey and she has the patience of a saint!”

Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. Hi! I’m a dependable pet lover offering drop-in visits and dog walks in the Bergen County area. During visits I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication instructions (if needed), and plenty of attention so your pet stays comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for family and friends’ dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I’ve also raised three cats since they were kittens (my oldest is 7 years old). Living with cats has taught me to pay attention to body language, routines, and the little details that help pets feel safe and relaxed. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with each pet rather than rushing between visits. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I aim to be reliable, communicative, and gentle with every animal I care for, and I’ll treat your pet with the same patience and care I give my own. I provide safe, reliable drop-in visits and dog walks to keep your pets happy and comfortable. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of attention, and make sure every walk is safe and enjoyable
About: I've cared for dogs for 18 years as an owner, so I know the day-to-day realities of feeding schedules, exercise needs, and reading a dog's mood. I also served as a foster caregiver, acting as the transition home between rescue organizations and a dog's new family — which means I'm comfortable with dogs who are anxious, adjusting to a new environment, or still learning house manners. I treat every dog in my care like they're my own, with patience and attention to their individual needs. And I have a sister with over 2 years of consistent, 5-star reviews in South Jersey - we're a dog lover household! Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I'm available weekday evenings and weekends (with occasional flexibility weekday mornings/afternoons too). This means I can offer reliable, consistent walks and visits without rushing, so your pet gets my full attention every time. Since I focus on walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize your home's security every visit — locking doors behind me, following any specific instructions you leave, and sticking closely to your pet's normal routine. I stay alert to their comfort and body language throughout, so they feel safe and at ease with me the whole time.

“Jalisa responded very quickly when I put out the call for a last-minute sitter when my scheduled sitter cancelled 11PM the previous day. She was very prompt for our meeting to introduce her to my dogs and get the housekey. My dogs enjoyed meeting her. She sent pics and video, and even my very shy rescue pup felt comfortable enough to come out of hiding for her.”
