I also like to know their personality and how they act around new people, other animals, or on walks. Any medical needs, medications, or things they don’t like are important too. The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is for me to keep them comfortable and stick to their normal routine.
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I watch really depends on their routine and energy, but I always start by making sure they’re fed, have fresh water, and are feeling good. With dogs, I love getting them out for walks, playing fetch or tug-of-war, or just hanging outside if they enjoy that. I also make sure they get lots of attention and playtime so they’re not just sitting around missing their owner. After some fun, there’s usually plenty of chill time, most pets are pretty happy to nap and relax. I always stick closely to their normal routine and follow any instructions so they feel comfortable, safe, and at home.
