I love keeping pets active and engaged! For dogs, we’ll enjoy walks around the neighborhood and visits to local parks, with activities tailored to their physical abilities—like fetch, running, tug-of-war, or mental enrichment games. For cats, I’ll engage them with toys, playtime, and enrichment activities to keep them happy and entertained. I’m also happy to follow any specific activities you’d like me to do with your pet!

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Maia! I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! I became a pet sitter because I’m an aspiring veterinarian currently in my second year of veterinary school. My journey with animals began at age 7 with my first pets, a pair of chinchillas. Soon after, my family and I rescued a stray kitten, who is now a beloved 17-year-old part of our family. Since then, I’ve rescued and fostered animals—including a shelter dog who was abused, whom we transformed with love and patience, and two stray kittens, one of whom became a “failed foster” and bonded with our 103-pound dog, Bruiser, teaching our cat to play fetch and drink out of the toilet! I have also cared for bottle-baby kittens. Today, I have two dogs—a previous service dog in training who is now a very important pet and a rescue—and two cats. Each pet has brought something unique to my life and taught me that animals have their own personalities and needs. I work as a veterinary assistant, caring for companion animals and exotics, and I raise service dogs in my free time. My approach is calm, patient, and respectful, giving each animal the time and space to feel safe and comfortable. I understand how important your pet is to you and the stress that can come with leaving them in someone else’s care. With me, they’ll receive the same love and attention I give my own—plus plenty of cuddles, playtime, and a safe, caring environment. I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy, secure, and well-loved while you’re away.

Maia is the absolute best. So knowledgeable, so helpful, thorough. We are always nervous leaving our cats, who have health and attitude problems and she managed it all easily. Thank you, Maia!!!

Maia was very friendly and great with our kitty Liam! She communicated very quickly and sent us plenty of photos of her visit. We came home to a happy kitty by the end of our trip. I would fully recommend!!

Maia is the absolute BEST!!!!! When leaving Olaf in her care for dropins, I have a sense of calm knowing she takes such great care of him. She sends daily updates, pictures and is quick to communicate anything that could be out of the ordinary. Highly recommend for anyone needing pet sitting services.
