About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and truly can’t imagine life without them. As a lifelong dog lover, I care for every pup as if they were my own. I just moved back home from Nashville, TN. Where I was consistently dog sitting in my apartment for the 4 1/2 years living there. Previously before that, I was doing it in my Hoboken apartment for 3 years. We do have a family dog, a border collie / blue heeler, Luna who is 11 years old. She is used to being around other dogs, as we previously had a husky lab as well before she passed away. Luna tends to keep to herself and only cares about her frisbee. For everyone’s comfort, I typically board dogs that aren’t excessive barkers. I have extensive experience caring for dogs with special needs, including blind, deaf, and diabetic dogs and also senior dogs. I’m comfortable administering medication (including daily insulin injections) and even handling tasks like diaper/band changes. Many of the dogs I’ve cared for have anxiety or don’t do well around other dogs, so I’m very experienced in creating a calm and safe environment for them. A quick note: Rover takes a percentage of my earnings, and my rates are set with that in mind. Also, most people I meet through Rover end up booking with me directly afterward, so my repeat clients listed on the app aren’t an accurate reflection of my true base of returning families. As I also gain clients from other places as well. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have or provide references from repeat clients, both through Rover and privately. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! First thing in the morning, I take pups outside to start the day. If I have work that morning, I make sure they get a nice long walk beforehand. After work and before dinner, we go out for another walk, and then I always do a shorter one right before bedtime. On days I don’t work, I like to take longer mid-morning walks or head to the dog park (with your permission). I love spending time outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and fresh air—especially on nice days. Of course, if your pup prefers naps and cuddles over constant activity, I’m just as happy to make that part of our day too :) I typically host dogs at my place, where they can feel right at home. Pups are welcome on the bed, and I make sure they have a cozy, comfortable environment to relax in. To help them feel calm and secure, I often play soothing dog-anxiety music, and I also use a puppy camera so I can keep an eye on them at all times. During their stay, they’ll get plenty of love, attention, and cuddles.

I am incredibly responsible, attentive, and passionate about giving every animal the dedicated care they deserve! I work full-time as a school paraprofessional and get off work at 3:30 PM. This means my late afternoons and evenings are completely dedicated to dog walking, drop-in visits, and cat care! I am also fully free and available all day on weekends for flexible pet sitting. Here is a ready-to-use paragraph for that **"Safety, trust & environment"** section in **image_3.png**! It combines your responsible background, your experience with both dogs and cats, and exactly how you'll care for their homes: > "When caring for pets in your home, safety, structure, and respect are my absolute top priorities. Because of my background, I am highly reliable, detail-oriented, and excellent at maintaining consistent routines to keep your pets feeling safe and stress-free. I have personal experience managing a multi-pet home with both a dog and a cat, so I know exactly how to keep everyone happy and secure. I strictly follow all feeding, walking, and household instructions, ensure all doors and gates are locked tight, and will always leave your home clean and respected.

I'm comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I'm always happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, or house rules. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved every time we're together. In your home, I'll respect your space and follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any house rules. I'll always make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and provide plenty of attention, affection, and exercise based on their individual needs. I also believe communication is important, so I'll send regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away.

“Erick did a great job taking care of our cat following my wife's exacting food prep standards over several days while we were away. We had an intro meeting ahead of our planned visits, and after that we had an unexpected change of plans and he was able to accommodate a different schedule on short notice. He was on time, responsive, and dependable. He played with the cat, fed him, changed his water, and cleaned his litterbox. Erick also went above and beyond, ie he brought in packages left on the porch and pulled in the trash container from the curb after the weekly pickup. Highly recommended.”

Karen is the BEST! She took such great care of my 2 dogs! They are still pups and are needy and get into a lot of mischief, but Karen went above and beyond! I highly recommend Karen and hope she is always available to take care of my dogs in the future. One dog is very timid and cautious around strangers but she took to Karen right away. One dog got injured before we left and Karen took excellent care of her wound. One dog was a picky eater and had to be spoon fed, but Karen got my dog to eat on her own, which my dog has continued to do, even after we came home!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Suzanne gave our dog while we were away. Our dog can be difficult to manage, but Suzanne handled her with such patience and skill. She truly went above and beyond!! She sent constant photos and thoughtful updates that gave us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, caring, and experienced sitter. Suzanne is a gem!!

Natalie is an amazing sitter - she has an intuitive understanding of animals, a kind & loving approach, and took great care of my dog. Her adherence to instructions and attention to detail were excellent, and the communication was great throughout the process. Will definitely book again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
