About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have always had a deep love and connection with them. While I don’t currently own a dog, I regularly care for my cousin’s dog here in New Jersey — walking, feeding, and keeping him company. I’m attentive, responsible, and genuinely passionate about animals. Your furry friend will feel right at home with me! I currently work as a secretary from 12pm to 5pm on weekdays, so I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits in the mornings before noon and after 5pm on weekdays. I have more flexibility on weekends and can accommodate house sitting when needed! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. Since I offer walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I’m punctual, communicative, and will send regular photo updates throughout every visit so you always know your pup is happy and safe!
“Casey has been amazing as always! She took great care of our cat while kept everything clean and tidy. She managed to take several photos of the cat everyday so we would know he’s safe and healthy (considering he always hides under the bed all the time). Would definitely book again.”

“Kathryn was eager to meet my boys prior to our trip. This puts everyone at ease. It’s something I look for when choosing a new pet care provider. Kathryn followed all my instructions and was communicative all during our trip. My boys were happy and content when we got home.”

“Lee is an amazing dog sitter and walker -- over the course of almost 2 years we worked with Lee in NY as our primary sitter/walker. He was incredibly responsive via text, the app or otherwise. With walking he walked my Dane - Ryan 2-5 times a week and would flex to show up when I was often late at the office. Lee also stayed at my home with Ryan often - he was clean, respectful of the space an totally attentive to my pup. My roommate mentioned rarely noticing he had even been there. When Lee wasn't available he had friends on recommendation who were amazing and even went out of his way to hand off his set of keys to them. Lee became such a part of Ryan's life often he was more excited when Lee arrived than when I did! We've since moved to LA and will miss him greatly!”

“Melissa was kind enough to fill in for me at the last minute and was fantastic. Responsive, responsible and a pleasure to deal with. I look forward to having her drop in on my puppy in the future”

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and the same care I'd want for my own. Having a dog myself, I know that putting their care in someone else's hands can be stressful- I'm here to ease that stress. I'm dependable, attentive, and committed to following your pet's routine so they feel comfortable while you're away. Whether that's going on long walks, playing with energetic pups, giving plenty of cuddles, or simply keeping a senior pet company, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I'm always happy to follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, or house rules. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, happy, and loved every time we're together. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule and enjoy staying active. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week, and I always make time to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I understand the importance of consistency, so I'll do my best to stick to your pet's normal routine and provide reliable, dependable care. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions so they feel secure and well cared for while you're away. In your home, I'll respect your space and follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any house rules. I'll always make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, keep a close eye on your pet during walks and playtime, and provide plenty of attention, affection, and exercise based on their individual needs. I also believe communication is important, so I'll send regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away.
About: Hello! I’ve dog-sit for friends and family including feeding, walking, and playing with their animals! Im very attentive to detail and making sure feeding and walking stays consistent with their daily schedule. I have experience with very high energy dogs as I’ve primarily taken care of dogs from the range of 1-3 years old. I will be working part time this summer so I am fully free Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I can do early mornings up to late evenings. While I am not providing care in my own home I would typically clean up, make sure there is nothing that is of danger to the dogs. I also will remove any food or drink off my counters, typically for the larger dogs that may be able to reach them.
About: Hi Im CeeCee (30). Leaving your baby, is already anxiety inducing, and frustrating as it is. And finding a trusted sitter just adds more to the mental load. With that being said, I make it my business to provide the most reassurance to You and your baby that there will be nothing but love and cuddles while you’re away. I have worked with animals since 2015 getting my start at Camp Bow Wow in Elmwood park and have worked at many prestigious hospitals in multiple states since. I love animals whether it’s cats/dogs or birds and reptiles. They are all so amazing to me. Grooming and distributing medication can be done at your request. I dont mind large dogs at all. Puppies are also welcome. I love to exercise, so your pup and I shall be doing some running around outside. Photography is my side hobby so please be prepared to be flooded with lots of pictures. All pups will go on 3-4 walks a day. More walk can be requested. Am walks: 6-7 am Afternoon walks: 12pm-1pm Pm walks:6pm-7pm Late late walks: 11pm-12am I treat all fur babies how I’d want my own to be treated. In case of emergency I live very close to multiple animal hospitals.
“Nicole was fantastic. Being first time Rover users, and having an incredibly shy and skittish cat, my wife and I were nervous. But Nicole quickly set our nerves at ease. Her communication was excellent and our cat immediately was drawn to her. Which is really amazing. We were able to tell right away how serious Nicole takes her job and it shows in the results. Thanks Nicole!!! You’re the best.”

“Jalisa responded very quickly when I put out the call for a last-minute sitter when my scheduled sitter cancelled 11PM the previous day. She was very prompt for our meeting to introduce her to my dogs and get the housekey. My dogs enjoyed meeting her. She sent pics and video, and even my very shy rescue pup felt comfortable enough to come out of hiding for her.”

“I booked Hallie to care for Nyla . I was extremely happy with the care and time Hallie spent with Nyla. In the future I will be booking Hallie to dog sit . I highly recommend others to book Hallie. Thank you Jimmy”

About: Hi my name is Layla I am a full time college student that works part time as a CSR at a veterinary clinic. I have experience as a vet assistant and volunteer work with rescues. I also own a shihpooh of my own name Gio. I’m currently working part time and am a full time student. My school schedule is mainly asynchronous classes and my work schedule is pretty set so, I have a lot of flexibility time to be able to care for your babies. I have a crate in my home that my dog is very comfortable in we have crate trained him to love his crate. In the clients home I reiterate training that they are doing with their pet and go off of body language of their pet to make them as comfortable as possible.
“Monique did a wonderful job checking in on and feeding our cat for a long weekend while we were away. It was our first time leaving him so we were a bit nervous, and Monique really came through for us (at the last minute as well!). She is warm and communicative, and most importantly our cat seems to love her.”

“My first time booking with a sitter for my two cats while taking a week long vacation. Ambroja went above and beyond to accommodate my girls and kept me updated every step of the way. So very thankful for her. Super professional, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Stephanie takes really good care of the puppy and is respectful of the space. She consistently shares messages about the time she spent with the puppy and is a quick responder. Stephanie is amazing!”

About: Growing up, there was always some sort of pet at home, more often than not a dog. I ended my dog-less drought when I dog-sat for a coworker. At the time I thought I was doing her a favor, instead, she reminded me how much I missed having a dog at home. Since then I've been dog sitting for friends, coworkers and fellow New Yorkers. I share my spacious 2-bedroom, Washington Heights apt, with a friendly 2 year old Frenchie, and several aquatic friends. Your dog(s) will feel right at home because they will be home. No place is off limits, except maybe the trash. I have experience with small to XL dogs and don't discriminate based off of breed type. I can even accommodate (on a case by case basis) dogs with aggressive tendencies. Age is not an issue, have experience with puppies to senior pup, can also accommodate special needs on case by case as well. References are available, as well as daily updates (text, facetime, skype). Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. I'm excited to open my home to your furry one. I work from home and so i have plenty of time and attention to give to your pet. My schedules is pretty flexible as well. We can discuss any special requirements that you may have with any preferences that you may have to make you most comfortable with the stay.
“Peter was very attentive with Meeko making sure his needs were taken care of! I received lots of updates and pics which made me feel reassured Meeko was in good hands. Thank you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Englewood Cliffs
Daisy has a friend! Ariadne G. was INCREDIBLE with our 8 pound little floof. Caring, loving, with a gentle willingness and openness to learning Daisy’s routines and quirky needs. Daisy, who can be shy and hide and look sad and flumped, or can be barky and anxious with others when we are away, was her free spirited, playful, and silly self under Ari’s care. Daisy ate well, showed Ari all of her tricks, and played toys. We were so happy with the daily reports and pictures of Daisy enjoying Ari’s company.

Wow, I just realized it’s been a full year of Kristal coming 1-2 times weekly (most weeks) for a midday bathroom & play break for my two German Shepherd boys. This second review is long overdue. My boys love their time with Kristal! Kristal is the kind of Rover sitter you always hope to find - super responsive and communicative, flexible, accommodating, reliable, consistent, and a genuinely kind and good person who loves animals. Above that she has a beautiful friendship with my boys and makes sure her time with them is spent giving them the most fun, enriching and happy midday breaks. Her reports are always thorough, sweet/funny, and show how intentional she is when caring for the boys. Her pictures are awesome, she’s a very talented animal photographer and I now have a whole plethora of the cutest images of my fur babies. Such a gift! Having Kristal as part of our routine has been a blessing.

⸻ Let me just say—after my first two dog sitters, I almost gave up on this app 🙂. But I’m so glad I found Victor. He is incredibly kind and truly cares. My dog absolutely loves him—he wags his tail and gets just as excited to see Victor as he does to see me, which says everything. Victor is also very reliable. He doesn’t just stick to the exact booked time or show up late like others. He often arrives a few minutes early and sometimes stays a little longer, which I really appreciate. It shows how genuine and dedicated he is. I also have a camera at home, since my dog can’t tell me about his day—and it’s clear that Victor treats him with care and attention. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!

Kathryn is just incredible! She is thorough and knowledgeable. She is very sweet and loving with my baby girl, and my dog took to her immediately. She is always met with tail wags and wiggles. Kathryn is the best person to look after your fur baby, she treats my girl with so much love and kindness!

Rachel is an amazing sitter, she braved the elements through this snowstorm to take care of Petey and I couldn’t be more grateful. She also takes the initiative to determine what Petey needs and will walk him more than once if necessary. She lets me know that she cleaned Petey’s bowls before feeding and giving him fresh water, things that are important to me, I feel better knowing that someone is giving him the same care I would. I’m thankful to have Rachel as a person I can contact when I need help with Petey.

Philsung went above and beyond to take care of Petey. During this snowstorm, he walked the rest of the way to my apartment when his car got stuck. When you’re not able to be there with your dog, it’s a terrible feeling, I was so worried Philsung would not be able to make it there but he did. That’s reliability and dedication and a true love for animals. He is an excellent sitter.

I’ve booked with Elines multiple times in the past, she is reliable and hands down the best dog sitter I have used! She is so sweet with my dog, take the best pictures, is very timely and is always consistent. I appreciate the care she gives to my dog I always feel at ease when I book w/ her. Thanks for everything Elines!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
