“Emily was amazing with our cats! She sent so many updates and pictures. She made sure to befriend both of them even though one is very shy and she made them so comfortable. We will definitely make sure to book her again because the girls loved their time with her!”

“Tosha was so good with my son’s cat. She went above and beyond to make sure Peach was comfortable, well-fed and her litter box was always clean. Tosha sent us regular updates and spent extra time playing with Peach (or petting her as her mood dictated.) It gave us so much peace of mind to know Peach was well taken care of. We hope Tosha’s available the next time Peach needs a sitter.”

“Lee is an amazing dog sitter and walker -- over the course of almost 2 years we worked with Lee in NY as our primary sitter/walker. He was incredibly responsive via text, the app or otherwise. With walking he walked my Dane - Ryan 2-5 times a week and would flex to show up when I was often late at the office. Lee also stayed at my home with Ryan often - he was clean, respectful of the space an totally attentive to my pup. My roommate mentioned rarely noticing he had even been there. When Lee wasn't available he had friends on recommendation who were amazing and even went out of his way to hand off his set of keys to them. Lee became such a part of Ryan's life often he was more excited when Lee arrived than when I did! We've since moved to LA and will miss him greatly!”

About: With hands-on dog walking and pet sitting experience, plus years caring for my own dogs and volunteering with dog rescue organizations in both Brazil and NYC, I understand that this role goes far beyond simply taking dogs out for a walk or pet sitting. It’s about ensuring their safety, reading their behavior, managing their energy, building trust, and giving owners confidence that their pets are genuinely being cared for. I’m comfortable handling daily walks in all weather conditions, feeding routines, administering medication, and providing attention, structure, playtime, and companionship. I treat every pet with patience, care, and responsibility, always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. As a marketing manager, I recently made a significant life change to support my wife’s career ambitions after she received an amazing job promotion in a big company in the United States. This move allowed me to align my professional skills with my passion for pets, leading me to start working in pet care here. Combining my marketing background with my love for pets, I've created a structured yet flexible schedule that allows me to provide top-notch care for the pets while working from home managing my professional responsibilities in my area. This new chapter has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to continue growing in this field. Ensuring the safety, trust, and well-being of pets is my top priority, whether I'm caring for them in my home or in my clients' homes. In both settings, I take several measures to create a secure environment for the pets such as avoiding access to harmful substances, creating safe places to play with my dogs also selecting toys that can be used by them according to their sizes, following guidelines and instructions provided by the tutors, sending them pictures, videos and updates of their pets. My goal is to provide a safe and trustworthy space to dogs and tutors.

“⸻ Let me just say—after my first two dog sitters, I almost gave up on this app 🙂. But I’m so glad I found Victor. He is incredibly kind and truly cares. My dog absolutely loves him—he wags his tail and gets just as excited to see Victor as he does to see me, which says everything. Victor is also very reliable. He doesn’t just stick to the exact booked time or show up late like others. He often arrives a few minutes early and sometimes stays a little longer, which I really appreciate. It shows how genuine and dedicated he is. I also have a camera at home, since my dog can’t tell me about his day—and it’s clear that Victor treats him with care and attention. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!”

About: Hi! I'm a college student working toward vet school, so caring for animals isn't just a job for me, it’s what I genuinely love doing. I've had my own cat for 5 years, so I know what it's like to be a pet parent. I've also spent plenty of time watching other people’s dogs and cats, from very high energy puppies to older dogs who just want a quiet environment. I'm comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. If something’s wrong I will reach out immediately. Since I'm on summer break, I have a pretty open schedule, but I do like to be upfront about my specific availability. I'm available Monday through Thursday anytime after 12:00 PM, all day Friday. On Saturdays, I'm available after 4:00 PM. I can also do evening visits, but I wrap things up by 10:00 PM. I know routines are really important to pets, so I'll work around whatever schedule your pet is used to, like midday walks, afternoon play sessions, or evening check-ins before bed. Consistency is very important! I only provide care in your home because I believe that pets are more comfortable in their own environment, with their own things and smells. I'm really careful with doors or any gates and will always make sure to double check every exit to make sure your pet stays safely inside. I will treat your home the way I'd want mine treated, I will clean up after myself, wash any bowls I use, and leave things tidy. I'll also send any updates/photos at every visit so you can see how things are going. I will also save your vet's contact info, just in case of any emergency. I always like to be prepared for anything.

About: Hi, I'm Sophie! 🐾 As a lifelong dog owner, I have a deep understanding of dog behavior and a natural ability to connect with animals. I am great with high-energy dogs who need structured play or sensitive, anxious dogs who need a calm presence and lots of love! I know exactly how to read their cues, keep them safe, and comfortable during our time together. Because I am a remote university student, I work from home all day and my schedule is completely flexible. Your dog will have supervision, quality care, and won’t be left unattended for long periods of time. My cozy apartment and its proximity to Fort Tryon Park will give your dog space to relax, play, and take walks in nature while honoring their usual daily routine. I know how hard it can be to leave your perfect companion with someone new and trust in their care. I promise to give your dog the absolute best care and fun adventures, while giving you peace of mind while you’re out of town! As a remote university student and actor, my schedule is incredibly flexible. Your pet will have constant supervision, companionship, and a consistent routine throughout the day. I am available for walks at any time of day, drop-in visits, and full-time boarding or daycare. Your pet will rarely be left alone and I will cater my schedule to what they need! The safety and comfort of your companion is my top priority. In my home, your dog will enjoy a calm, pet-friendly apartment that was occupied by my dog, Tootsie. When house sitting or visiting your home, I respect your space entirely while keeping your pet’s exact routine on track. I provide frequent text and photo updates so you always have peace of mind knowing they are safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: Hello! My name is Iraya Catalina and I can't wait to have the lovely experience of meeting you and your pet! I am a performer with a love for animals, looking to make a little bit of extra income being new to the city! In terms of sitting and care experience, not only have a had animals since I was a child, I have had to house and animal sit for many members of my family and even friends, and always have a blast doing so. I am ready to provide for your pup, or cat in any way possible! I can take animals for walks or runs, take them to the many parks in the area, or just cuddle up and watch a movie with them if that’s what they prefer!! Also, because I think it is important to note how every dog is different, I have a lot of experience with skittish and anxious pups. My first two dogs when I was a child were both abused pound puppies, and I grew up with them and learned how to bring a dog out of their shell and make them feel safe and loved. I want nothing more than to replicate that with any animal that comes into my care. I would love to know, before caring for the animal, about anything that always makes them growl or make them anxious. I want your animal just as happy as before they are entrusted to my care, happier if possible! Your animal is your family and I want nothing more for its, and your, comfort and joy. Can't wait to welcome your dog or cat into my life! I’m currently working part time, so I have a ton of time on my hands to care for your pup and really be attentive! I will be attentive to your pet and make sure they have their needs covered by me! I love it the most when dogs are vocal with their needs, but I am patient and intuitive when it comes to what your pet might need in the moment.
“Jessica was so helpful and a wonderful pet sitter for my cat, Stella! She was very professional and kind and took excellent care of Stella. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Phil was the best! He was very attentive, kind, and communicative. Mylo was very lucky to have Phil as a catsitter. Will definitely work with him again in the future, and I highly recommend him to everyone!”

“Fallon was a wonderful sitter. She took great care of our cat and sent us pictures of her while we were away. She was very considerate and communicative, from our initial conversations through the end of the booking. We would definitely ask her to sit for us again in a heartbeat.”

Inwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Leta is a life saver for our family! We have two dogs, one is an 8 month old puppy and a 9 year old dachshund with mobility issues and she handles them both with love and care. We trust her implicitly and she treats our pets like they are family-thank you, Leta!

Joseph did a drop-in visit for my dog, Lobster, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Lobster was comfortable and well looked after. I appreciated the updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Lobster seemed happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I got home, which says a lot. It's obvious that Joseph has a natural way with dogs and takes his responsibilities seriously. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I would gladly book with him again.

Nicole did a fantastic job! She was friendly, communicative, and took great care of our newly adopted puppy. Nicole asked great questions and took directions well, and I feel so happy to know we can go out and have someone we can trust to give our puppy the love and care he needs! Would absolutely book again!

We’re so grateful for the care and kindness Leonore showed our dogs while we were away. She was calm, patient, and communicative, and it gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We especially appreciated her willingness to help on such short notice. Thank you again for taking such good care of them!

Michelle is very sweet with our pups. She visited them twice last week and both times they were happy to see her. She arrived on time and took good care of them, sending us photos and updates during the visit. She’s attentive and follows our instructions well. We will definitely schedule more drop-in visits with Michelle.

Daisy has a friend! Ariadne G. was INCREDIBLE with our 8 pound little floof. Caring, loving, with a gentle willingness and openness to learning Daisy’s routines and quirky needs. Daisy, who can be shy and hide and look sad and flumped, or can be barky and anxious with others when we are away, was her free spirited, playful, and silly self under Ari’s care. Daisy ate well, showed Ari all of her tricks, and played toys. We were so happy with the daily reports and pictures of Daisy enjoying Ari’s company.

Marin went above and beyond taking care of Wyatt while I had two back to back days out of town. She was super accommodating of my last minute request, found time to do a meet and greet so I was comfortable, and went the extra mile to meet Wyatt’s needs. He’s an anxious boy still getting used to the city and Marin gave me thorough updates, cleaned up after his messes, and followed my instructions to a T. I really hope Marin becomes our go-to when I need someone to check in on him in the future.

Wow, I just realized it’s been a full year of Kristal coming 1-2 times weekly (most weeks) for a midday bathroom & play break for my two German Shepherd boys. This second review is long overdue. My boys love their time with Kristal! Kristal is the kind of Rover sitter you always hope to find - super responsive and communicative, flexible, accommodating, reliable, consistent, and a genuinely kind and good person who loves animals. Above that she has a beautiful friendship with my boys and makes sure her time with them is spent giving them the most fun, enriching and happy midday breaks. Her reports are always thorough, sweet/funny, and show how intentional she is when caring for the boys. Her pictures are awesome, she’s a very talented animal photographer and I now have a whole plethora of the cutest images of my fur babies. Such a gift! Having Kristal as part of our routine has been a blessing.

That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!

Jessie is awesome. Our pup is 16 months old and we’ve been working through some new behavior like being skittish and aggressive with new people. Jessie is clearly knowledgeable about dog behavior and knew we needed to take things slowly. Nutley has definitely warmed up to her quickly.
