“Tiffany was really great with my dog Mela, who gets pretty anxious on walks and with new people. She took her time and was really gentle with her, and it made me feel a lot better about leaving Mela in her care. I really appreciated it and would definitely book with her again.”

“Binta was amazing with my dog Venus even going as far as being able to help Venus with her boots. We communicated the whole time before her walks which made me feel at ease. I will definitely contact her for future walks and whoever is reading this should to.”

“Our dog Lillian and cat Poppy love Ali. She has won them over, and I completely trust her to care for them when we are away next weekend. I highly recommend her!”

About: Hello my name is Jose but I rather be called JC. I’ve been a dog walker for 5 years now. I have two dogs so I know how to deal with more than one dog while walking around. I usually walk around my dogs around riverside or central park cause it open and has a lot of fresh air. I’m not used to house sitting but I'm willing to but a week in advance. I'm also not used to taking care of cats but if needed I will take care of only hypoallergenic cats. (just in case I'm allergic) I love animals of all shape and sizes and I'm looking forward to anyone that is looking for my services. 3 word to best describe me will be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
About: I’ve taken care of friends dogs and house sat neighborhood pets! I am a big animal lover and would love to take care of your furry friend! I’m working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pet! I will not only walk it but actively engage and play with pet if needed. I don’t have pets at home but I do walk neighborhood dogs. I love to be outside and go on long walks and I would love to take your animal for a walk around the block.
“Liliana was awesome with our yorkie, Champy. She walked him and sent lots of great pictures. She was even able to give meds. I would certainly reach out in the future for dog walking and boarding needs.”

“Jennifer was on time for my dog’s walk and was great with her. She fed her and gave her medication without any issue. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”
“Jaquelin has just started walking my dog and she’s been incredibly gentle and patient with my girl Maya. Her communication and updates have made it easy to trust her. She’ll be continuing the weekly walks with Maya.”

About: I have been taking care of other people’s dogs since I was 16 giving me experience with different breeds, personalities, and routines. I am reliable, attentive, and always make sure that pets are safe. I have a part-time job, but I’m available Monday-Friday after 2pm. During that time, I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m dependable, flexible, and dedicated to making sure every pet gets the care and companionship they need. I follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. I make sure they have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable environment while their owners are away.
“Jacob walked our two big kids Maggie & Milo for 6 days and put up with all their pulling and stubbornness. We could not have asked for a friendlier, more conscientious or patient person to deal with these two critters. I'm giving Jacob 5 stars and my strongest recommendation to anyone looking for an A+ walker.”

“Victor is great with Zuse! He is reliable, attentive, and clearly has a wonderful way with dogs. Zuse always seems happy and well-cared for after their time together. If you are looking for a walker who is professional and genuinely cares about your pup, I highly recommend Victor!”

“Joon went out of his way to make a proper intro to my dog, Leo and that automatically put me at such ease! Leo was so happy to see Joon from the start that even I was surprised as Leo doesn’t really like new people at first. Animals know character and Leo saw that Joon was not a threat because Joon is truly that kind and compassionate. Joon did Leo’s mid day walk with no issues while I was at work and it made my day so much better to not have to worry about his potty break. I will only be contacting Joon for all future walks!”

“Samantha was amazing! Incredibly kind, communicated often, and ensured our pup was happy & safe. We highly recommend her and she will be top of our list when we need a walker again. -DeVon, Analisse & Nala 🐾”

“My dog immediately loved Anthony and he definitely knows dogs well, since he has one of his own. He is a great walker and highly recommend! Good communication also. Thank you Anthony!”

“Leonore was a saving grace in our time of need. We are most grateful for her. She’s the best and we look forward to booking her again. -DeVon, Analisse & Nala 🐾”

About: Hello!! I am an absolute dog lover, I’ve dog-sit for friends and family including feeding, walking, and playing with their animals! Im very attentive to detail and making sure feeding and walking stays consistent with their daily schedule. I have experience with very high energy dogs as I’ve primarily taken care of dogs from the range of 1-3 years old. I’m free all days of the week from early mornings to late evenings. I am also available to do multiple walks throughout the day if needed. While I am not providing care in my own home I would typically clean up, make sure there is nothing that is of danger to the dogs. I also will remove any food or drink off my counters, typically for the larger dogs that may be able to reach them.
“Shaun was the best. His attention to detail is incredible and it’s obvious he is providing your dog the best possible experience. Before the first walk, he asked a few questions about my dog’s personality. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was getting to know my dog and providing individualized care (playing her favorite games, shortening the walk on a day when she seemed tired). He even flagged a minor health issue for my awareness. This is a true dog person and I would be delighted to book again (and I think my dog would appreciate it too!).”

Jamie was amazing! He was easygoing, communicated clearly from the very beginning, and made the entire experience stress-free. I felt completely comfortable and confident leaving Mr. Lucky in his care. He kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, and seeing how happy and relaxed Mr. Lucky looked gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Jamie with Mr. Lucky again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Jennifer is great! I have a pitbull who is difficult to walk, pulls in every direction, eats stuff on the street, etc. But she is a quick learner and was willing to take it on. She is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and reading their body language. She is a great communicator and responds quickly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
