“You were great and I will defenitely use you in the future. I was nervouse at first but Gigi was happy and did great with Lauren. Gigi can be very nervous outside and Lauren was patient with her and provided me daily updates. 5 stars!!”

“Marco is a wonderful sitter. My husband and I have been extremely lucky to find such a reliable and trustworthy sitter for our baby. I’m sort of a helicopter dog mom, and Marco really caters to every request. We have a doxie who has very special care instructions due to his sensitive back so it really gives us peace of mind knowing he is taken care of properly. Our pup absolutely loves him and it has truly been a blessing to find someone we trust in our home and with our pup Frank. I highly highly recommend him. Thank you so much Marco!”

“Amy has been wonderful. I adopted a dog and within the first week, Amy met her and has been walking her twice every week. She is responsive and professional. Very pleased.”

“Arina has been reliable, communicative and punctual. Rocco is a big dog and Arina has walked him with lots of care. I would recommend her services to anyone who needs help with their pet! I will continue to book her for future walks.”

“Jennie is great! She offered to accommodate Petey last minute with her mom. Petey and Busker really like her. Would definitely recommend if you need a reliable, friendly walker/sitter!”

“My sister was injured and Ksenia really helped out by walking my sisters dog on short notice. Ksenia really enjoyed her time with my sister's dog and from what I heard the feeling was mutual for the little guy because he enjoyed playing while they walked together. Thanks Ksenia!”
About: Hi! I'm a college student working toward vet school, so caring for animals isn't just a job for me, it’s what I genuinely love doing. I've had my own cat for 5 years, so I know what it's like to be a pet parent. I've also spent plenty of time watching other people’s dogs and cats, from very high energy puppies to older dogs who just want a quiet environment. I'm comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. If something’s wrong I will reach out immediately. Since I'm on summer break, I have a pretty open schedule, but I do like to be upfront about my specific availability. I'm available Monday through Thursday anytime after 12:00 PM, all day Friday. On Saturdays, I'm available after 4:00 PM. I can also do evening visits, but I wrap things up by 10:00 PM. I know routines are really important to pets, so I'll work around whatever schedule your pet is used to, like midday walks, afternoon play sessions, or evening check-ins before bed. Consistency is very important! I only provide care in your home because I believe that pets are more comfortable in their own environment, with their own things and smells. I'm really careful with doors or any gates and will always make sure to double check every exit to make sure your pet stays safely inside. I will treat your home the way I'd want mine treated, I will clean up after myself, wash any bowls I use, and leave things tidy. I'll also send any updates/photos at every visit so you can see how things are going. I will also save your vet's contact info, just in case of any emergency. I always like to be prepared for anything.
About: As a pet parent for most of my life, I’m passionate about all different animals. While I am a self-proclaimed dog person, I love all pets and consider them family. Because of this, I believe in treating your pets as if they were my own! I have owned dogs for most of my life and have extensive experience in dog care, such as walking, feeding, bathing, and playing. I have helped family members and friends with different services whenever needed, and truly have a passion for spending time with animals. I’m comfortable with dogs of any size, and believe every dog deserves kindness regardless of breed. I have taken care of cats before and am also very comfortable with them! I also have my own vehicle, meaning I can transport your pet to any location as needed. I’m comfortable standing, walking, and playing for long amounts of time, as some pets require more energy and attention than others. I’m also very detail-orientated and will follow any instructions as listed by the client, such as for feeding and bathing. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and take pride in carefully caring for them ❤️. My schedule is very flexible, meaning I have time for different pet services throughout the week. I am available most days, and am a stickler for scheduling and being punctual, meaning you never have to worry about mix-ups or last-minute cancellations. My calendar is always freshly updated so that you may know if I’m ever unavailable! I can take care of any pet in a client’s home provided that the client has necessary items, such as food, toys, and a bed/crate. I’ve taken care of pets with both strict and flexible routines, and am comfortable following a schedule or being spontaneous and taking care of a let’s needs as they arise. I’m also comfortable with administering oral medication, as I have experience doing this with my own dog.
“Karen was a great dog walker. We had our initial meet and greet with her and she was very understanding with how our dogs were with new people. She was very patient and kind with them. I loved the updates with photos she put on their report card, I could see that they were being well taken care of. She would keep me updated when I needed to refill their doggy bags. My dogs quickly liked her and would patiently wait by the door for her to come. As an anxious dog mom, I was able to trust her completely. I would highly recommend Karen for any pet needs.”

“Victor is great with Zuse! He is reliable, attentive, and clearly has a wonderful way with dogs. Zuse always seems happy and well-cared for after their time together. If you are looking for a walker who is professional and genuinely cares about your pup, I highly recommend Victor!”

“Binta was amazing with my dog Venus even going as far as being able to help Venus with her boots. We communicated the whole time before her walks which made me feel at ease. I will definitely contact her for future walks and whoever is reading this should to.”

“It was difficult finding a sitter over the busy holiday season that was good with a shy/skittish dog like ours, so glad we found Fatima!! Our dog was immediately comfortable around her, and we knew they’d enjoy their nice long daily walks together. Fatima was also very communicative, she met him beforehand, was helpful in fixing my scheduling mistake, and sent us Rover Cards for every walk. We look forward to booking with her again!”

Emily took such wonderful care of Greta! From the moment we met her, we knew Greta was in great hands. We had a great experience! She was incredibly responsive (had to book last minute for the next day), flexible, and communicative throughout the entire booking. She kept us updated after every walk with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear she took great care of our dog, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Neil did a wonderful job caring for our pets while we were out of town for a few days. He took great care of our dogs, gave them their walks, and also made sure our cats were fed and had fresh water as well. He was reliable, communicative, and gave us peace of mind knowing our pets were in good hands. We really appreciated everything he did and would happily book with him again. Highly recommend!

- 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
