“Amy is great! Petey really likes her and she’s very responsible. There have been times where Petey was only scheduled for a walk but she fed and played with him anyway! She’s offered to negotiate prices, shes very kind.”

About: I grew up with a senior Yorkie and learned to be reliable, patient, and attentive. I provide personalized care for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies and senior pets needing extra support. My time is mostly open but I am available on weekdays during the morning and afternoon. Weekends saturday and Sunday can be free and evening if needed. Our apartment has a private fenced dog park that we are able to enter. I am also able to follow each pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide fresh food and water and regular potty breaks. I can keep owners updated with photos and messages, and make sure both the pet and home are safe, clean, and well cared for.
“Jennie is great! She offered to accommodate Petey last minute with her mom. Petey and Busker really like her. Would definitely recommend if you need a reliable, friendly walker/sitter!”

About: I have personally trained my dog when I was 13 when he was a puppy. I often care for friends and family’s pets when they need a caretaker so I have a lot of experience. I am currently home for the summer from college so I have a lot of free time to be there for your pet. In my spare time I love to go on walks with my own dog and throw a ball with him in the yard. I have a spacious house with three levels and a fenced backyard. I also have a very social cockapoo who loves meeting new friends. There’s plenty of toys and treats on deck for any furry friend to stay happy!

About: I’ve taken care of my sweet senior dog for all of his nearly 18 years. I fully understand that seniors need a little extra love and attention 🩵 I’ve also been the default dog and cat sitter for friends when they have needed it. I have experience giving medicine and eye drops for dogs. I’m also happy to learn any other medical care needs if needed! My little guy passed recently, so I’m just here to give your fur babies some love while you are away 🩵 I work from home, so I’m pretty flexible and can take breaks midday to walk and play. I’m available for boarding most work days and weekends. I live on a quiet street that is great for walks, and there is also an open yard for quick potty breaks. I have no other pets in the home and only take one client at a time, so your pets will have my full attention!
“Drew was an awesome dog walker and I can’t say enough amazing things about him! He came out to meet Bro before the walk to make sure everything went well. He also had patience when I forgot to give the lockbox code. Very grateful to Drew! Book him!”

“Jaquelin has just started walking my dog and she’s been incredibly gentle and patient with my girl Maya. Her communication and updates have made it easy to trust her. She’ll be continuing the weekly walks with Maya.”

“Rachel is one of the best caretakers for our IGGY that we’ve had in a long time. She is caring, loving and very very flexible. Recently as I was not feeling well I needed Rachel to walk our puppy during off times and requested her presence at the last minute. She was able to accommodate us And did it with a huge smile and Grace. She does not know how much we appreciated her availability”

“I give Jacob 5 stars ✨ for walking ocean and being extremely patient and understanding with ocean 🌊. Thank you for accommodating my request. We will continue to book with him !! Look no more and book with Jacob !!”

“My sister was injured and Ksenia really helped out by walking my sisters dog on short notice. Ksenia really enjoyed her time with my sister's dog and from what I heard the feeling was mutual for the little guy because he enjoyed playing while they walked together. Thanks Ksenia!”
“Marco is a wonderful sitter. My husband and I have been extremely lucky to find such a reliable and trustworthy sitter for our baby. I’m sort of a helicopter dog mom, and Marco really caters to every request. We have a doxie who has very special care instructions due to his sensitive back so it really gives us peace of mind knowing he is taken care of properly. Our pup absolutely loves him and it has truly been a blessing to find someone we trust in our home and with our pup Frank. I highly highly recommend him. Thank you so much Marco!”

About: Hi pet lovers! Just wanted to put a couple of things up front...first as far as dog walking is concerned I'm getting a lot of requests from all over Jersey and I don't have a car so unfortunately I've had to turn most of them down. So please note I'm only looking for dog walking jobs in Edgewater or elsewhere if you are open to paying for my uber there & back (I actually do have one client who does that, that's the only reason I'm including it). The second thing is regarding housesitting...please note that if you are requesting housesitting, I'm happy to if I'm available but I need to be able to bring my 1 1/2 yr old micro mini labradoodle, Cole. I already have it in my profile below but I just got a request from someone who said no because I have a dog so I'm writing it very first thing in case people don't read any further. And speaking of Cole, he LOVES other dogs. So if you are interested in having me host your dog for doggy day care or a longer stay, I just would need to know your dog gets along with other dogs as well. Obviously it's harder for me to do house sitting now but I'm leaving it up on the chance I have someone who wouldn't mind me bringing him. Anyway, Cole and I both look forward to meeting your pups (or cats for that matter, He's also great with cats, he's super loving to all and doesn't have a mean bone in his body). And on that note... I adore dogs and cats (not to mention hedgehogs, shout out to Choggie and Jefferson, may they RIP.). I have always dreamed of caring for animals professionally and so far have absolutely loved doing so for the past several years. I'm currently not working atm so am looking to make this my main source of income. That means I'm flexible and have availability quite often! Any animal who boards with me will have my undivided attention. Also, there is a dog park near me I will take your dog to daily. And to anyone concerned about there being any sort of negative interaction between your pet and my hedgehog, please don't worry. Hedgehogs are nocturnal so he stays in his cage sleeping all day. So far it has not been an issue at all with any of the dogs I've boarded (including one VERY curious & energetic puppy lol).
“Jayvon, was an exceptional.dog walker. My dog doesnt get to comfortable with strangers immediately, but he was calm and gave her the tine tio adjust to him while still doing his job. Furthermore, He came eceryday ontime even though we had a serious snow storm. Overall, Great guy and will definitely use him again.”

Michelle has been wonderful with my dog! She’s reliable, attentive, and really thoughtful about Sunny’s needs on walks, especially around other dogs. Her updates are always detailed and reassuring, and my doggie seems very comfortable with her. So happy I found her!

Jessie is amazing! She’s very kind and clearly well-experienced with many kinds of dogs. Very thorough and considerate at every step of the process, and she clearly does a great job giving personalized consideration to the dogs she works with. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Jenny was amazing! We have a fearful dog and we wanted to make sure our dog was comfortable with the dog walker before we went on vacation. Even though it was a last minute request, Jenny came to meet our dog and they got along great. While we were away she took great care of our dogs and always sent pictures of all the fun they were having. I highly recommend Jenny!

Stella was absolutely wonderful! She stepped up while I was out of town, and walked my dog every day (even in the rain) and gave him so much love. My dog can be reactive and extra off when I’m gone, but she followed all my instructions and made me feel so comfortable leaving him in her care. He was so happy every day to see her! I’m so grateful and would highly recommend! 🐾❤️

This was our first time with Jacqueline & she was great with my Pomsky! Very communicative, sending pix and comments during their walks! I needed her in the early mornings which is not the usual time or days I need and she was very responsible and helpful! Thank you Jacqueline!

Xiyan has a great personality and is truly dedicated to making our dog happy. Ace is a senior dog and had a bit of a rough week, but Xiyan was able to make him feel joy in his walks again, so much so that he even sprinted! We couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of our dog. Thank you so much, Xiyan!

Neil was very communicative and easy to meet up with. He followed all of my instructions/request. He took very good care of my little girl while I was on vacation. Considering this being my first time using this app I give it and Neil a 10/10 rating and would recommend him to anyone. I will absolutely give Neil a shout if I need him in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
