About: If we’ve crossed paths before, 9/10 I probably came up and asked to pet your dog/cat! I’m a proactive & vigilant person with so much love for animals and I am not shy about it! I have two cats so I would say that i’m 100% more knowledgeable with them! I’ve also been blessed to bring a 4 month puppy into the family! I may be newer to the dog world but i’m willing to learn while also having a good pet care foundation cause i do a ton of research! :) On top of all of this, I believe my best qualities are that I am extremely open minded and patient. Your dog takes a little too long on their walks? Perfectly fine! Your dog likes to jump a lot? I love their way of expressing excitement! Your cat doesn’t like people/is good at hiding but you would like a photo of them to make sure they’re okay while you’re away? I will do everything I can while also respecting their boundaries!! I treat pets with so much love and respect, I hope you’d consider me! I have availability whenever! I will say that I’d prefer to spend time with your fur babies in the morning/afternoon rather than in the night time! You can trust me by getting to know how much I care about my pets! I would do anything to improve their lives. - I provide many, many toys. I even find ways to DIY them! - I will scoop litter everyday because they deserve a clean area to do their business! - I always give them treats because I know how happy it makes them - I give them love whenever they want or ask for it - I have two cat trees (used to be 3, if i had space for more i’d totally have more!!) - I quite literally drop everything (of course not in emergencies) and give them love and attention whenever they ask - I take the time to read the ingredients on their food to make sure even they aren’t consuming processed ingredients because i care about their health and coat. - I have a water fountain because I prioritize hydration and know that it helps them see the water better & I make sure it is always pretty full so they never run out of water :) - I have two window hammocks! - I also have two dog beds! - Any decision I make, I always consider my babies :)

About: I grew up caring for both big and small dogs (and horses!), so I love dogs of all ages and sizes! I promise to treat your furry family like my own while helping to maintain your pet's daily routine, including walks, meals, play (in the home and/or at dog parks), baths, cuddles, and whatever else your pet loves. I currently work as a research assistant at Columbia University/ New York-Presbyterian, so I spend most of my day talking with people. Here, I continue to learn the value and importance of connecting with others. As your pet's sitter or walker, I prioritize communication and comfortability with you to ensure that you feel excited about your pets care. I know I am! I currently work as a research assistant at Columbia University/ New York-Presbyterian. I spend my mornings at the hospital from about 10am-2pm. On any day, I am available either early in the morning or afterwards for walks or play time with your pups. On weekends, I am available for boarding. Every third week, I work from home and would love to board and/or care for your furry family for the week. It's priority to me to maintain the routine your pup knows and loves. I hope to get to know you and your pet so I can incorporate your pet's favorite walking routes, parks, toys, food, and general activity into the care I provide. On a side note, I am a distance runner! If you would like your pet to get some extra energy out, I would love to run with them.

“Amy is great! Petey really likes her and she’s very responsible. There have been times where Petey was only scheduled for a walk but she fed and played with him anyway! She’s offered to negotiate prices, shes very kind.”

“Philsung has been amazing! I really appreciated how I got a full report after each walk letting me know what happened. 10/10 would highly recommend. I will definitely be using Philsung again when my regular walker is away.”

“Marco is a wonderful sitter. My husband and I have been extremely lucky to find such a reliable and trustworthy sitter for our baby. I’m sort of a helicopter dog mom, and Marco really caters to every request. We have a doxie who has very special care instructions due to his sensitive back so it really gives us peace of mind knowing he is taken care of properly. Our pup absolutely loves him and it has truly been a blessing to find someone we trust in our home and with our pup Frank. I highly highly recommend him. Thank you so much Marco!”

“Rachel is one of the best caretakers for our IGGY that we’ve had in a long time. She is caring, loving and very very flexible. Recently as I was not feeling well I needed Rachel to walk our puppy during off times and requested her presence at the last minute. She was able to accommodate us And did it with a huge smile and Grace. She does not know how much we appreciated her availability”

“Arleth is amazing! She has been walking my dog(Blish)for a while now! who is a very nervous dog!! She seems so happy with her and I’m so grateful for her patience and the wonderful care she gives her!!!”

“My sister was injured and Ksenia really helped out by walking my sisters dog on short notice. Ksenia really enjoyed her time with my sister's dog and from what I heard the feeling was mutual for the little guy because he enjoyed playing while they walked together. Thanks Ksenia!”
“Drew was an awesome dog walker and I can’t say enough amazing things about him! He came out to meet Bro before the walk to make sure everything went well. He also had patience when I forgot to give the lockbox code. Very grateful to Drew! Book him!”

About: I’ve cared for animals of all ages. I used to go to zoology camps when I was a kid and used to want to be a vet. Having the trust of an animal is a privilege and a blessing and I do not take these things for granted 💙 I work part time at a fitness studio and substitute teach. I’d love to pop by and check on your furry loved ones or take your pooch for a walk before or after work or on weekends when I’m not with my own cat 🐈⬛ I love guidance and instructions - if you leave them, I’ll follow them to a ‘T’. Also, not to brag, but animals love me. In addition to wanting to be a vet when I was a child, a Disney princess surrounded by woodland creatures was high on the list!
About: I am a dedicated pet care provider that is comfortable with any animal shape or size. I am very passionate about my job and making sure the pet Im taking care of has all of its needs, and ofcourse some slight spoilage! I am educating myself to become a dog trainer and can help provide tips when it comes to building human-canine relationships. I can also do specials needs such as insulin shots. I am also in the process of becoming a certified Animal Handler in New York State, so I can further my education in animal care. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry baby! I currently work part time once a week at a Grooming academy. So i will have plenty of time during the week to spend time with your pet! I also live with animals so I am constantly spending my time walking feeding and caring for them. I walk the dogs at least 4 times a day. Morning, mid day, evening, and late night relief. Water fountains (for dogs and cats) and beds for lounging. I have gates for separation during feeding times and a nice big couch everyone is welcome to lounge on!
About: Hi pet lovers! Just wanted to put a couple of things up front...first as far as dog walking is concerned I'm getting a lot of requests from all over Jersey and I don't have a car so unfortunately I've had to turn most of them down. So please note I'm only looking for dog walking jobs in Edgewater or elsewhere if you are open to paying for my uber there & back (I actually do have one client who does that, that's the only reason I'm including it). The second thing is regarding housesitting...please note that if you are requesting housesitting, I'm happy to if I'm available but I need to be able to bring my 1 1/2 yr old micro mini labradoodle, Cole. I already have it in my profile below but I just got a request from someone who said no because I have a dog so I'm writing it very first thing in case people don't read any further. And speaking of Cole, he LOVES other dogs. So if you are interested in having me host your dog for doggy day care or a longer stay, I just would need to know your dog gets along with other dogs as well. Obviously it's harder for me to do house sitting now but I'm leaving it up on the chance I have someone who wouldn't mind me bringing him. Anyway, Cole and I both look forward to meeting your pups (or cats for that matter, He's also great with cats, he's super loving to all and doesn't have a mean bone in his body). And on that note... I adore dogs and cats (not to mention hedgehogs, shout out to Choggie and Jefferson, may they RIP.). I have always dreamed of caring for animals professionally and so far have absolutely loved doing so for the past several years. I'm currently not working atm so am looking to make this my main source of income. That means I'm flexible and have availability quite often! Any animal who boards with me will have my undivided attention. Also, there is a dog park near me I will take your dog to daily. And to anyone concerned about there being any sort of negative interaction between your pet and my hedgehog, please don't worry. Hedgehogs are nocturnal so he stays in his cage sleeping all day. So far it has not been an issue at all with any of the dogs I've boarded (including one VERY curious & energetic puppy lol).

I never leave reviews for anything, positive or negative. But I would be remised not to leave a stellar review for Isabella. This is a superstar of a dog walker/carer. Isabella is a pet parent’s dream caretaker. Responsible✅, communicative✅, organised✅, caring✅, and more. She has made Bernie’s life more comfortable, and my schedule significantly more manageable. If you are thinking twice about booking Isabella, you’ve thought one additional time too many. 10/10 all around.

Jamie was amazing! He was easygoing, communicated clearly from the very beginning, and made the entire experience stress-free. I felt completely comfortable and confident leaving Mr. Lucky in his care. He kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, and seeing how happy and relaxed Mr. Lucky looked gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Jamie with Mr. Lucky again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
