“Jaquelin has just started walking my dog and she’s been incredibly gentle and patient with my girl Maya. Her communication and updates have made it easy to trust her. She’ll be continuing the weekly walks with Maya.”

About: I’m very conscientious to an acute degree. I’m sensitive towards the fur child’s comfort while also being able to establish firm boundaries. I want the best for them. I’m currently on semester break for college, so I have open availability! I can do drop ins, dog walking and house sitting. For the Fall, I’m available after 2pm on Mon & Wed, 8am-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and all day on the weekends I’m very attentive with the pets I take care of. I always check intermittently on their well-being to make sure that they’re okay, especially if we haven’t established familiarity yet.

“Amy is great! Petey really likes her and she’s very responsible. There have been times where Petey was only scheduled for a walk but she fed and played with him anyway! She’s offered to negotiate prices, shes very kind.”

“Arina has been reliable, communicative and punctual. Rocco is a big dog and Arina has walked him with lots of care. I would recommend her services to anyone who needs help with their pet! I will continue to book her for future walks.”

“Rachel is kind and reliable. IGGY loves her. I would highly highly recommend. IGGY loves going to the park with her and she always sends such wonderful pictures of him.”

“You were great and I will defenitely use you in the future. I was nervouse at first but Gigi was happy and did great with Lauren. Gigi can be very nervous outside and Lauren was patient with her and provided me daily updates. 5 stars!!”

“Drew has been walking my Labrador several times now and is an exceptional dog walker. He communicates well and arrives within my allowable walk window. I will continue working with him.”

“My sister was injured and Ksenia really helped out by walking my sisters dog on short notice. Ksenia really enjoyed her time with my sister's dog and from what I heard the feeling was mutual for the little guy because he enjoyed playing while they walked together. Thanks Ksenia!”
“Marco is a wonderful sitter. My husband and I have been extremely lucky to find such a reliable and trustworthy sitter for our baby. I’m sort of a helicopter dog mom, and Marco really caters to every request. We have a doxie who has very special care instructions due to his sensitive back so it really gives us peace of mind knowing he is taken care of properly. Our pup absolutely loves him and it has truly been a blessing to find someone we trust in our home and with our pup Frank. I highly highly recommend him. Thank you so much Marco!”

“Lee did a fantastic job with Cookie! He was very professional and patient, even when Cookie tried to hide to avoid going on her walk. He did a great job convincing her to go, and she ended up having a wonderful time walking with him.”

About: I’ve cared for animals of all ages. I used to go to zoology camps when I was a kid and used to want to be a vet. Having the trust of an animal is a privilege and a blessing and I do not take these things for granted 💙 I work part time at a fitness studio and substitute teach. I’d love to pop by and check on your furry loved ones or take your pooch for a walk before or after work or on weekends when I’m not with my own cat 🐈⬛ I love guidance and instructions - if you leave them, I’ll follow them to a ‘T’. Also, not to brag, but animals love me. In addition to wanting to be a vet when I was a child, a Disney princess surrounded by woodland creatures was high on the list!
About: Hi pet lovers! Just wanted to put a couple of things up front...first as far as dog walking is concerned I'm getting a lot of requests from all over Jersey and I don't have a car so unfortunately I've had to turn most of them down. So please note I'm only looking for dog walking jobs in Edgewater or elsewhere if you are open to paying for my uber there & back (I actually do have one client who does that, that's the only reason I'm including it). The second thing is regarding housesitting...please note that if you are requesting housesitting, I'm happy to if I'm available but I need to be able to bring my 1 1/2 yr old micro mini labradoodle, Cole. I already have it in my profile below but I just got a request from someone who said no because I have a dog so I'm writing it very first thing in case people don't read any further. And speaking of Cole, he LOVES other dogs. So if you are interested in having me host your dog for doggy day care or a longer stay, I just would need to know your dog gets along with other dogs as well. Obviously it's harder for me to do house sitting now but I'm leaving it up on the chance I have someone who wouldn't mind me bringing him. Anyway, Cole and I both look forward to meeting your pups (or cats for that matter, He's also great with cats, he's super loving to all and doesn't have a mean bone in his body). And on that note... I adore dogs and cats (not to mention hedgehogs, shout out to Choggie and Jefferson, may they RIP.). I have always dreamed of caring for animals professionally and so far have absolutely loved doing so for the past several years. I'm currently not working atm so am looking to make this my main source of income. That means I'm flexible and have availability quite often! Any animal who boards with me will have my undivided attention. Also, there is a dog park near me I will take your dog to daily. And to anyone concerned about there being any sort of negative interaction between your pet and my hedgehog, please don't worry. Hedgehogs are nocturnal so he stays in his cage sleeping all day. So far it has not been an issue at all with any of the dogs I've boarded (including one VERY curious & energetic puppy lol).
About: I've grown up with dogs all my life and have cared for my family's and friends' pets for many years. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, spending quality time with them, and can also handle bathing, drying, and brushing I'm currently on summer vacation from school and am available full-time to care for your dog! I can walk them and let them out multiple times a day, as well as spend quality time with them I ensure pets feel well cared for and safe. Having grown up with dogs, I can easily read their cues and cater to their specific needs.

Jamie was amazing! He was easygoing, communicated clearly from the very beginning, and made the entire experience stress-free. I felt completely comfortable and confident leaving Mr. Lucky in his care. He kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, and seeing how happy and relaxed Mr. Lucky looked gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Jamie with Mr. Lucky again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Lee is so wonderful! Immediately upon meeting him; he put our mind at ease with the questions he asked and how he played with our pup! Incredibly compassionate, reliable, and has helped us with last minute emergencies. We're quite greatful for him. Highly recommend!

Felicia was an excellent dog walker! My dog warmed up to her right away, which gave me a lot of confidence. After every walk, she sent me pictures and kept me updated on how he did, which I really appreciated. She was reliable, caring, and communicative throughout the entire experience. I would absolutely use her again, 100% recommend!
Emily took such wonderful care of Greta! From the moment we met her, we knew Greta was in great hands. Emily went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and cared for, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive pet sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
