“Kiky was an excellent sitter. She communicated very well and provided frequent updates including very cute pictures of our dog Honey. She was also extremely accommodating and flexible with our schedule which worked out great. We truly appreciate the thoughtful attention she gave to Honey, and we would absolutely love to have her watch Honey again. I highly recommend Kiky!”

“Tao and his daughter did a wonderful job with our boy Logan. He kept in constant contact and answered all of our questions and even sent over pictures of our special boy throughout the day without being asked to do so. We're going to continue to have our boy stay there when needed. We feel very lucky to have met him and his daughter.”

“Susan was very pleasant to work with and took great care of our dog Skylar. She sent updates and photos throughout the day. We highly recommend booking with her and are confident any dog under her care will be in great hands!”

About: I've had dogs all my life! My pup Toffee is my best friend, nothing beats coming home to someone who's always so excited to see you! I take care of friends' and family's dogs while they're away as well - both large and small. I spoil them and always want them to feel at home while their person is away. I take the pups out about every 3-4 hours or as needed. It breaks up the day as well and give me a chance to get up and walk too! Intermittent games of fetch between zoom calls are always on the agenda as well! Lunchtime breaks consist of lots of play time, and after work I usually make sure that we spend a good amount of time outside. I take the pups out about every 3-4 hours or as needed. It breaks up the day as well and give me a chance to get up and walk too! I love giving lots of playtime and cuddles on the floor, and love being able to take them out to the park to run and play, or just a leisurely stroll around the block! I'll practice commands too with lots of treats and praise!
“Miran & Jennie treated my dog so well! I received photos as well which was helpful because I was nervous to use Rover for the first time. Their dog Bambi is also so sweet. Thank you Miran & Jennie!”

“Denise took great care of my two boys! She walked them, played with them and let them have fun with her sweet grandkids in the backyard. She provided plenty of pictures and updates and has a beautiful home to host the dogs in. I can tell she takes pride in having a good home for the dogs she cares for and is very responsive, responsible and attentive! My dogs will be excited to go back and see her again soon :)”

About: Hi! My name is Ria and I am a long time dog lover with tons of experience caring for dogs of different breeds and sizes! I grew up with at most times 5 dogs in my house hold. This was a mix of big and small dogs and various breeds and attitudes. I have been through a pet smart puppy training with my dog so I am comfortable with training techniques being part of your pets routines! I am totally flexible on time and length of stay just looking forward to spending time with your pets! I live in an apartment building with my 9 year old female pug Daisy. Daisy lived with 4 other dogs while for the first 3 years of her life and got along great with everyone! She has loved having his Rover friends coming to visit since we started over a year ago! We lost our other fur baby Rondo in April 2023 so Daisy having company makes us all smile! Daisy pretty low energy but will gladly perk up when some young energy comes around. Our feeding schedule looks like twice a day morning and night with 3-4 walks per day. We are also open to accommodating other feeding schedules as needed. (Please note: grazing feeding does not work in our house due to the other dogs allergies and diets, if your dog typically grazes we are happy to offer food multiple times a day separately) We love having meet and greets before agreeing to have your pet in our home. And to see new places we’re happy to find a good halfway place between us! I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule. I can step away when needed and being that we live in such a walkable area, taking a quick trip outside is never an issue. I have a spacious apartment with my own pups that loves to sleep and snuggle. They are playful at times and loves being with other dogs. We can crate dogs if a crate is provided.

Our dog is a little anxious and has difficulty getting to know new people, she was very attentive, caring and gentle with him, which helped him adjust to the new environment. Susan and her husband are AMAZING! I was extremely stressed trying to find someone to watch Mochi at the last minute but Susan responded quickly, was incredibly flexible, and worked with me every step of the way. Throughout Mochi's stay, she sends regular updates and photos, which I absolutely loved. Mochi absolutely adores them. I highly highly recommend!

Jatna was amazing and I fully trust her to watch our pup anytime. We were visiting from out of town and she kept our young puppy and ensured he was well taken care of and loved on while we went to an event. Her communication was top notch and she kept me informed during his entire stay. I trust very few people, but I am glad we chose her to take care of our puppy. Highly recommend!

Luisanna was amazing with Lola and I would recommend her to anyone. We took our Lola girl on vacation with us to New York but she could not do some of the activities… Luisanna was available at short notice with quick and easy drops off/ pick ups. She was very responsive when I texted her and communicated with us during the day on how Lola was doing. Her communication is amazing, along with her sweet relaxed energy Lola warmed right up to her ! She truly took care of my baby as her own and it was easy to tell when I brought Lola the following day, Lola ran right to her. It was so reassuring to know my dog was happy, safe and well cared for. Her location is very convenient for any New York or New Jersey plans as she is right over the bridge. She was truly a life saver and I am so greatful I found her. Anytime I visit NY I will be contacting her as I’m sure Lola would love to see her !

Keunyung was amazing! She provided updates every few hours, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Louie was all smiles and absolutely loved spending time with her. She took wonderful care of him, and it was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout his stay. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! 🐾

Kiky was very caring of Tammy, communicative throughout her stay and reliable. She followed my care instructions and really did her best to make sure Tammy was comfortable in her new environment and ate her food. She sent video and photo updates throughout the day too which I appreciated. Overall, very friendly service and I felt like my dog was in good hands.

Alexus is an amazing fit for my dog Soukie! Soukie took to Alexus right away and she tends to be on the timid side so I was impressed to see her cuddled up on Alexus’ lap! Alexus sent many pictures and asked lots of questions about Soukies routine to make sure Soukie received the best care. I definitely recommend Alexus! She has a kind and easy going demeanor that dogs respond well to!

Denise L was fantastic! I booked her last minute on Rover to watch my furry baby Camilla, and she was super responsive and accommodating. Camilla was happy and well cared for. Denise also gave camilla her medications and made the whole experience stress-free. I’d definitely book her again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fort Lee commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
