“Laura has been amazing! Her communication was great and she took great care of our pup Nenya. We could tell that Nenya loves her when we picked her up. She had a super calm and nice approach with her which is great because she is a little bit more on the shy and anxious side. Will definitely book Laura again :)”

About: I love dogs and understand that yours is part of your family. I have owned dogs for over 18 years (male german shepherd mix and female pitbull) and I know what makes them tick! I have experience walking fussy/reactive, even aggressive dogs, both big and small. I just can’t live without them. With reasonable notice, I am available pretty much all day long for dog walks and sits. I can always easily adjust my schedule and am very flexible when it comes to last minute arrangements. No issues moving dates around if my calendar is open. I have a fenced in yard and the house is plenty spacious. My goal is always to provide a safe and comfortable experience for your pet. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy, safe dogs—and want to share it with your fur baby! Stay at Penny’s House: - We’ve raised our 3-year-old mini poodle to be happy, gentle and kind. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and cats! She’s a great hostess. - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard where your beloved fur baby can play fetch and get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in grass and shaded by large trees, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs: diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. You can count on us to always read ingredients and to follow your instructions carefully. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. - ¡Se habla español! Si tu perrito se siente más cómodo que le hable en español, solo díganos cuáles comandos utilizan. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we found this out the hard way. So we hope our home can be the place you rely on to feel safe leaving your little bundle. REQUIREMENTS: We’re flexible and easygoing. But because we want everyone to have a good, safe time, we do have a couple of requirements: 1) We require a meet-and-greet for all new clients before a stay to make sure our dog and yours get along well. 2) Your dog must be up-to-date on all vaccines: rabies, bordatella, lepto, etc. Because we work from home, we are available at home to take care of your little buddy full time for boarding and daycare at our home. A fully-enclosed, shaded backyard for zoomies and lots of walks around our safe, dog-friendly, and tree-lined neighborhood. Your fur baby will be under our supervision throughout the day and will get frequent trips to the yard and lots of time to play. We're also happy to walk your dog as often as you need. We’re always happy to be flexible with your schedule to accommodate both your and your dog’s needs.
“Sherrie was great! Super nice and accommodating, she was able to watch our pup Zoe on Christmas on short notice. Zoe had a wonderful day with Sherrie and her doodles, and even came home with some homemade Christmas treats! 🎄😊”

“We really appreciate Alitha and how she cares for and communicates with us when she takes care of our puppy. She is friendly, responsive, flexible and responsive. 5 stars all the way!”

“Alejandra was very welcoming to our dog’s stay at her place. She sent me photos of him during the stay and he looked very calm and happy in her company. I am very happy to have met her and will definitely consider to rebook with her.”

“My dog Kimu stayed with Pamela for a day. Pickup/dropoff was quick and easy. Kimu seemed to enjoy her time playing with the other dogs and going on the walks from the videos. Thank you Pamela. Would definetly book again.”

About: I spent 15 wonderful years caring for our family dog, Max. It taught me me just how much a dog becomes part of the family. Since losing him last year, I’ve missed having his companionship at home. I’d love to bring that same care and love to your dog. I’m a stay at home mom, so I’m home all day and able to give your pup consistent attention, regular walks, and potty breaks. My home has plenty of space for your dog to move around and feel comfortable. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely happiest with a dog around. They’ll be loved and treated like part of the family. I’m available for walks, drop ins, or overnight/long term boarding. As a stay at home mom, I’m home all day, everyday. Pet care won’t be squeezed into a busy schedule, it’s a natural part of my routine. I start mornings with a walk, following by regular potty breaks throughout the day, playtime, and plenty of downtime together at home. Your dog will get consistent love, attention, and companionship. My home has plenty of space for a dog to feel comfortable, whether they want to stretch out, relax at home, or have room to move around and play. I also have plenty of green area in a quiet safe neighborhood to enjoy playtime and walks outside. I keep a close eye on any dog in my care, watching their body language, and making sure they always feel safe and settled, and LOVED!

We have been using Sandra and San for the last month. We are very happy with the service they provide. When we drive up there block, Shelby gets excited and is very happy to see them. They are warm, kind, and conscientious and we feel comfortable allowing them to take care of our furry baby.

We are from Delaware and contacted Sherrie about daycare for our dog Casey while we visited with my sister, and then the next day to attend a family gathering. We could not have made a better choice. From the first meeting we felt comfortable leaving our nine and a half year old boy with Sherrie. She sent photos and updates, and when we picked him up the first day we could tell he was well taken care of. When we dropped him off the second day he went with Sherrie without hesitation. We will definitely be in touch with Sherrie again to watch Casey as we travel to the area often for family events. Bill
My dog Vanya really enjoyed his time at daycare with Ryan! Ryan sent me lots of pictures and took care of everything I asked for. He is very caring, and I could tell that Vanya absolutely loves him. They played a lot, and Vanya came home happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!

Anna and Oliver were Wonderful with my senior dog. They were very fast to respond when I txted them which I really appreciate. Lila loved spending the day with them. They kept me updated on how Lila settled in, and they made sure she had lots of cuddle time. I highly recommend Anna and Oliver for taking care of your fur baby. I look forward to booking with them again.

Amy did an amazing job looking after our dog Kwin for the day. She was welcoming, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs. Amy took the time to understand Kwin’s routine and preferences. Throughout the day, Amy kept us updated with photos and messages, so we could see Kwin having a great time playing and relaxing. When we picked her up, Kwin was happy, tired, and clearly well cared for. We recommend Amy to anyone looking for trustworthy doggie daycare.

Kiki took amazing care of our Pippa! She kept us updated throughout the day with multiple photos and messages about how Pippa was doing, including potty breaks, meals, and playtime. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands. Pippa clearly had the best time and came home happy and relaxed. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Kiki again. Highly recommend! 🐶❤️

Susan and her husband are AMAZING! I was extremely stressed trying to find someone to watch Mochi at the last minute but Susan responded quickly, was incredibly flexible, and worked with me every step of the way. Throughout Mochi's stay, she sends regular updates and photos, which I absolutely loved. Mochi absolutely adores them. I highly highly recommend!

Young was great with our nervous rescue puppy. He was patient and by the end of our booking, Reggie seemed to feel very comfortable with him. Young sent many updates about how he was doing and adjusting, which we appreciated. Will definitely book again in the future!

Jagruti is the best! She is professional and friendly, and most importantly she is a genuine dog lover! She took great care of Nacho and sent pictures throughout the day. It is very clear that they had a good time because Nacho ran towards Jagruti the next time they met and didn't even look back! We are so lucky to have found her.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ridgefield commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
