One thing I especially appreciated is that they have access to an outdoor space in New York, allowing Lio to get fresh air and feel comfortable outside of the apartment setting. We had a last minute booking cancel with another sitter on the morning of a trip at around 7:00 (booked only as a matter of convenience for our drive, otherwise Pamela would have been first choice). I messaged Pamela thinking there would be no way she could accommodate us on such short notice. She was wonderful, responded immediately, and by 7:30 our pooches were out of the car and jumping all over her. My dog is elderly and has a luxating patella in his back knee, and she was very attentive to his needs and limitations. When we picked him up, he was happy, calm, and clearly very well taken care of. He was very attentive and kept us abreast of everything that was going on, including photos. The last time we used Rover she was a puppy, but now that she's an adult she has changed, it was our fault for not noticing and being clear that she is shy and nervous at first.
