About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. Over the past two years, I've dog and cat sat for friends and neighbors, whether that meant providing overnight care in my apartment or stopping by for walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. I've cared for both cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, so I'm comfortable adapting to each pet's unique needs. One experience that's especially meaningful to me is participating in shelter skip days, where I take a shelter dog out for the day to give them a break from the kennel and spoil them with plenty of love. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their furry family members are in good hands, and I treat every pet I care for with the same patience, affection, and attention I'd give my own. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I'm currently a master's student at Teachers College, Columbia University. My classes are Monday through Thursday, and only occupy a few hours each day. I will have Thursday afternoons through Sunday evenings available each week. During my available times, I'm flexible and can dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, cuddles, and sticking to your pet's normal routine. I live on the Upper West Side, just a block away from Riverside Park and also close to Central Park, which gives me access to beautiful, safe spaces for walks and outdoor time. For walks, I prioritize safe routes, keep dogs securely leashed, and tailor each outing to their energy level and needs. For overnight stays, my apartment is clean, calm, and pet friendly. I only care for a limited number of pets at a time so I can give each one the individualized attention they deserve.

Janise has been wonderful with my pup Georgina. I’m always incredibly comforted knowing my puppy is in good hands at her home. Georgina loves playing with their dog Frankie, which is the sweetest bundle of joy. Their big spacious home with backyard also allows the two dogs to roam around freely. Janise is my go to sitter! Christina did a fantastic job watching Grimley while we were gone! She was polite, professional, and communicative, and we felt Grimley was in great hands. It seemed like he had a fun time while there and we really appreciated how calm and reassuring she was, especially since it was our first time being away for so long. We would definitely recommend her and would love to have her watch Grimley again.

Great couple! They were very communicative with daily walks, feedings, play and even (unfortunately) some potty accidents.
