“Annett is a fantastic sitter! She took great care of my 4-month-old puppy and kept us updated with frequent photos and messages which gave us peace of mind. Annett was very attentive and patient with our puppy who was going through a picky eating stage and took the time to hand feed her. Highly recommend her and would definitely book again!”

“Adam was great. I used him a few times while in New York on holidays. He is flexible, friendly and great with dogs. I will use him again next time I’m back :-)”

“Pamela was wonderful. She provided pictures and videos throughout the stay as well as regular updates. She also got Biscuite a thicker sweater, which was really thoughtful. I would definitely use her services again.”

“Iliana was great! She was very responsive and sent many updates and pictures throughout the day. She was loving and attentive to my baby Bailey and I will be using her again in the future. I highly recommend her.”

“Eileen took such good care of Denver. It was like his home away from home, she communicated and sent pictures while he was with her and even sent home print outs which were so cute . She was also flexible with the pick up and drop off times which we really appreciated since it was a last minute book. Denver was happy, we were happy and we will definitely book again!!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Eva was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure my dog felt comfortable and cared for. Highly recommended!”

“Priyanka is the best Rover care giver I’ve ever had. She is caring and thoughtful and took incredible care of our senior dog. We’re so grateful to her and will definitely book her again”

“This is the second time Symone has watched my dogs. As before, she took extremely good care of the dogs. She gave us very detailed updates about our dogs at least once a day. This stay, Symone went above and beyond what I expected from a dog sitter. During the stay, one of our dogs had a medical emergency (from a chronic condition, unrelated to her care), and she took him to the urgent care and then an overnight pet hospital. She stayed with him late until the night to make sure he was properly taken care of and helped us stay get in touch with the doctors. I truly believe that if Symone hadn't noticed him declining and acted so quickly, our dog would no longer be with us.”
“Stefan has boarded my 11 year old labradoodle several times. He stays in communication and sends pictures regularly. Paris seems comfortable with him each time she sees him. Stefan has been wonderful to often take her last minute. Thank you!”

“Sandra and San were absolutely exceptional with our dog, Luna. From the moment we met them, it was clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. They went above and beyond in every aspect of Luna’s care. Their attention to safety and protection gave us complete peace of mind, and they took the time to learn every detail of her routine—from her meal schedule to her individual needs and preferences. They even asked for our veterinarian’s name and contact information in advance, which showed how prepared and responsible they are in case of an emergency. Throughout Luna’s stay, we knew she was in loving, capable hands. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine affection they showed her exceeded all of our expectations. We couldn’t recommend Sandra and San more highly. If you’re looking for people who will care for your dog as if they were their own, look no further. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Luna—we will absolutely be booking with you again!!”

“I was kept informed throughout my dog’s 10 night stay with Aleksandr. Marlee is picky when it comes to dinner but Alek ensured that she was eating. I really appreciated the meet & greet along with the pictures he would send as updates during her stay. I look forward to booking Marlee a stay with him again in the future.”

“Rio had an amazing time with Tom, and I really appreciate the updates and pictures provided. I am definitely going to have Tom be Rio’s sitter again.”

“Kristen was amazing! She made sure to send photos of our pup enjoying her stay :) Kristen was very communicative and caring to our dog’s needs and we will definitely be working with her again.”

“Sophia was such a great sitter for our Teddy! She kept me posted the whole time and sent lots of pictures. Very easy to communicate with and Teddy came back to us and seemed like he was very comfortable and well taken care of. We would definitely recommend Sophia! And we will definitely be reaching out to her for any dog sitting needs.”

“Ashley was so amazing - she went above and beyond to make sure my dogs were cared for (especially when my little pup was having stomach issues unexpectedly). Nothing phased her and she was super communicative along the way. Can’t recommend her enough. Trust her 100%!”

“I am so grateful Vanessa was able to watch our dog, Charlie. Charlie is my baby and I was very anxious to leave her with a sitter over the 4th of July as Charlie hates fireworks. Vanessa was a gem and stayed home and comforted Charlie, which made me feel so much better about having to be gone over the holiday for work. Vanessa also stayed on top of Charlie’s med regime (2x/day) and handled Charlie’s issues with ease! Thank you Vanessa!”

“I can not say how thankful I am for Angela watching my little Sophie! She was so accommodating and took very good care of her while I was out of town! I was kept very much in the loop and she sent me the most amazing photos of her too! I would definitely recommend Angela to any Rover user and would book her again in a heartbeat.”
“Hawthorne is an absolute gem! He takes the best care of our little guy, we’re so at ease when we are away because of him. Huge thanks, we will be back again and again!!”

About: I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, whether it’s my sister’s or my cousin’s dog. As a nurse, I already have the compassion and caretaking qualities. If you’ll entrust your best friend to me, I’ll give them plenty of love and care. I’m a night shift nurse working three shifts a week. I’m always trying to take advantage of the daytime to catch some sun- hopefully your dog will join me in those times on a sweet stroll. A firm believer in touching grass, I’d dedicate my stretches of days off when I’m not working to take your furfriend out for some much deserved playtime! I live in an apartment that is dog friendly. My home has plenty of space albeit a one-bedroom unit. There is a security system built into place as well.

Remy had another great weekend with Ethel! She gave us a good recommendation for a pupsicle enrichment toy that Remy loved while boarding with her, we’re excited to buy one of our own for him. Loved her photo updates throughout the weekend as usual! Thanks again Ethel!

Jessica and her boyfriend were so friendly and very responsive throughout the whole boarding for my dog and my brother's dog. She sent daily photos and thoughtful updates, which was much appreciated. Communicating with them was such a breeze and I'm thankful they were both flexible and accommodating when I had a delay on my flight back home!

Euitae was great and next time we're in NYC I hope he's available to take care of our golden retriever. He was kind, caring, very responsive, sent occasional updates, followed feeding instructions, and provided excellent care overall. Five stars for Euitae (pronounced You-Tay, like Utah but with an 'ay').

Absolutely amazing sitters! Extremely professional and considerate. I was nervous to leave my dog with new people but they offered a meet and greet days in advanced, had me complete a questionnaire on his feeding, preferences, quirks etc. And provided me with daily updates including pictures. I was able to travel at ease knowing he was in safe hands. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Snickers.

Eileen took such good care of Denver. It was like his home away from home, she communicated and sent pictures while he was with her and even sent home print outs which were so cute . A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
