About: I've had dogs all my life! My pup Toffee is my best friend, nothing beats coming home to someone who's always so excited to see you! I take care of friends' and family's dogs while they're away as well - both large and small. I spoil them and always want them to feel at home while their person is away. I take the pups out about every 3-4 hours or as needed. It breaks up the day as well and give me a chance to get up and walk too! Intermittent games of fetch between zoom calls are always on the agenda as well! Lunchtime breaks consist of lots of play time, and after work I usually make sure that we spend a good amount of time outside. I take the pups out about every 3-4 hours or as needed. It breaks up the day as well and give me a chance to get up and walk too! I love giving lots of playtime and cuddles on the floor, and love being able to take them out to the park to run and play, or just a leisurely stroll around the block! I'll practice commands too with lots of treats and praise!
“Wan is an amazing, sweet, caring person .She is highly professional, extremely responsible and truly cares about the animals. You could not ask for a better person to care for your animals.”

“Sherrie was great! Super nice and accommodating, she was able to watch our pup Zoe on Christmas on short notice. Zoe had a wonderful day with Sherrie and her doodles, and even came home with some homemade Christmas treats! 🎄😊”

“Our first time using Chris and he was great! You can tell he really cares. Very communicative, attentive and extremely easy to deal with. He sent lots of pics and videos too which was nice. His Dog, Molly was awesome and Bentley loved his time with them. I would highly recommend Chris and would use him again!”

“Kiky was absolutely fantastic with my 5-year-old Yorkie! She is incredibly patient and caring, which is so important for a smaller dog. I really appreciated how responsive she was throughout the booking, and the photos she sent were amazing—it was so nice to see my pup looking happy and settled. It’s clear she has a genuine love for dogs and takes great care of them. I felt totally at ease leaving him in her hands and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“My fiancé and I have never taken our dog to a dog sitter before. It was our first time leaving our Sasha girl with someone other than a family member, and we were so nervous to use this app, but Rocío has definitely changed our minds. Rocío was so sweet, gentle and patient with Sasha upon meeting her for the first time. She kept us updated throughout the day with pictures of Sasha playing in the yard, which put our minds at ease. The constant communication and updates gave us the reassurance that Sasha was in good hands. When I picked her up, I can tell that Sasha wasn’t anxious to see me or leave, like she normally is when we leave her alone for a few hours. Rocío said Sasha did really well for her it being her first time with a dog sitter and it filled my heart. Rocío and her family are so nice and welcoming. You can tell they have a genuine love for animals. We will definitely be using this service again! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Jinghong is a very caring sitter. My dog Bacon fell in love with her starting from meet and greet. Bacon was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was obvious he was happy and comfortable during his stay. Thank you for treating him with such care—I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!”

“Miran & Jennie treated my dog so well! I received photos as well which was helpful because I was nervous to use Rover for the first time. Their dog Bambi is also so sweet. Thank you Miran & Jennie!”

About: I work from home and have been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy and safe dogs, and want to share it with your fur baby! - We have a 3-year-old mini poodle who we’ve raised to be a happy, gentle and well-rounded pup. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and the occasional cat! - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard with tennis balls and frisbees where your beloved fur baby can get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in shade, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care and cuddles you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs, whether it be diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we have found this out the hard way. So I hope our home can become a place you can rely on and feel safe leaving your little bundle. Because we work from home, we are available at home to take care of your little buddy full time for boarding and daycare at our home. A fully-enclosed, shaded backyard for zoomies and lots of walks around our safe, dog-friendly, and tree-lined neighborhood. Your fur baby will be under my supervision throughout the day and will get frequent trips to the yard and lots of time to play. We're also happy to walk your dog as often as you need. We’re always happy to be flexible with your schedule to accommodate both your and your dog’s needs.
“Keunyung has taken care of my dog several times over the past month for both day care and overnight stays. She always makes me feel completely at ease because I know I can trust my dog with her. Also, there were a few times when I had to change the pick-up and drop-off times last minute and I really appreciated how flexible she was. Highly recommend and will continue to work with her moving forward. Thank you Keunyung!”

“Catherine was quick to take in Cub and help us. She asked a few questions so she knows how to take better care of Cub which we truly appreciate. She’s responsive and was flexible with the drop-off and pick-up as traffic can be unpredictable. She was attentive to Cub’s needs and made sure to take him with her for walks to the park — even to a cafe. Her baby Cashew is a sweet dog who welcomed Cub in their home warmly. She definitely understands dogs and love them. We are satisfied and are confident with Catherine’s care and would book her again to care for Cub. Thanks so much for, Catherine, for everything!”

About: Hi there! I’ve been lucky enough to have dogs in my life for over 20 years, so I really know what it takes to keep them happy and healthy. Growing up with dogs taught me all the little things that make a big difference in their care—whether it’s their exercise needs or just knowing when they need a good belly rub! Right now, I’ve got a super friendly 40lb Mini Bernedoodle who’s all about having fun, so I totally get how important it is to make walks enjoyable and stress-free for your dog. I’m here to make sure your pup has a great time, gets plenty of love, and stays safe on every walk. If you’re looking for a relaxed, dog-loving walker who knows how to keep tails wagging, I’d love to help out! I work from home, part time, so I'm home most of the day and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your dog plenty of attention. I'm ready to give them all the love and attention they need. Your dog will be in good hands, whether it's a walk, a game, or just a cozy cuddle session! When your pooch is at my place, they’ll be treated just like my dog, Luna! They’ll have full access to the furniture, get all the cuddles, and enjoy the same care and attention Luna gets. I believe pets should feel at home, so I make sure they’re comfortable and loved during their stay. If I’m taking care of your dog at your place, I’ll follow your routine and make sure they’re happy and well-looked after. I’ll give them plenty of playtime, walks, and lots of love—just like I do for Luna!

Chris is kind, communicative, and reliable. I love all the photo updates and knowing my pup is in great care. She went from being shy around other dogs to making friends and being much more playful. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a smiling dog every time we return. Thanks again!

Can’t say enough good things about the way Andrew took care of Conor. Great setting and logistics to accommodate Conor’s needs and safety… crazy amount of exercise and on top of that Andrew shared tips at the end of the day to improve Conor’s overall behaviour. 100/10

They accepted my last minute booking. Very communicative and just really friendly people. They were accommodating with my senior dog needs. You could tell they have alot of experience caring with pets. Such and pawsome sitter. Thank you and I hope you’ll accept our future requests.

Keunyung was amazing! She provided updates every few hours, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. Louie was all smiles and absolutely loved spending time with her. She took wonderful care of him, and it was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout his stay. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! 🐾

Pierre and Minji were wonderful with Coco. This has been the first time she was calm at another place other than home. I could tell they treated as their own dog. Communication was great at all times and they are just lovely people. I’m so happy to have found this amazing pair to trust Coco with anytime.

Kiky was very caring of Tammy, communicative throughout her stay and reliable. She followed my care instructions and really did her best to make sure Tammy was comfortable in her new environment and ate her food. She sent video and photo updates throughout the day too which I appreciated. Overall, very friendly service and I felt like my dog was in good hands.

As always Catherine is reliable. Cub is used to her and her sweet Cashew. Her place is dog-friendly and so is the area by her apartment. She takes Cub for walks and sends us photos. She just knows what to do and we trust her. Thank you so much, Catherine for caring for Cub.

Denise L was fantastic! I booked her last minute on Rover to watch my furry baby Camilla, and she was super responsive and accommodating. Camilla was happy and well cared for. Denise also gave camilla her medications and made the whole experience stress-free. I’d definitely book her again!

Haram was absolutely wonderful with my dog. She was very responsive, kind, and attentive throughout the stay. I appreciate the regular updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Roxana was wonderful. She was very communicative and professional. Teddy was very happy, playing with his new friend Teddy all day long. I was a bit late due to traffic issues back from work but Roxana was very understanding and flexible. I will be booking again and highly recommend to anyone seeking a reliable person.

I can’t say enough good things about Jennie and Miran. Petey adores Jennie, he gets so excited to see her. She often takes care of him during the day and will pick him up and drop him off, though thats not the norm. I don’t need to worry about anything because I know they’re giving him plenty of love while he’s in their home. Petey’s behavior has not always been stellar, yet her response is to try to bring him and Bambi closer together to be good friends. I would recommend them to anyone, they’re just really good people and will take excellent care of your furry friends. 🩷

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ridgefield Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
