“Honestly I am super satisfied and very happy with the care my pups received from Rocio. She kept me updated throughout the day with my pups, played with them, walked them, fed them, and loved them as if they were her own. The pups definitely enjoyed the care Rocio gave them and they even smelled good when I got them! Rocio was very understanding and flexible with what I needed in terms of schedule. I also love the fact that she has other dogs for my dogs to be exposed and got along so well with my pups. Would definitely recommend her and would use her again!”

“Chris is kind, communicative, and reliable. I love all the photo updates and knowing my pup is in great care. She went from being shy around other dogs to making friends and being much more playful. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a smiling dog every time we return. Thanks again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy, safe dogs—and want to share it with your fur baby! Stay at Penny’s House - We’ve raised our 3-year-old mini poodle to be a happy, gentle and well-rounded pup. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and cats! She’s a great hostess. - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard where your beloved fur baby can play fetch and get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in grass and shaded by large trees, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs, whether it be diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. We read ingredients and will follow your instructions carefully. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. - ¡Se habla español! Si tu perrito se siente más cómodo que le hable en español, solo díganos cuáles comandos utilizan. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we found this out the hard way. So we hope our home can be the place you rely on to feel safe leaving your little bundle. REQUIREMENTS: We’re flexible and easygoing. But because we want everyone to have a good, safe time, we do have a couple of requirements: 1) We require a meet-and-greet for all new clients before a stay to make sure our dog and yours get along well. 2) Your dog must be up-to-date on all vaccines: rabies, bordatella, lepto, etc. Because we work from home, we are available at home to take care of your little buddy full time for boarding and daycare at our home. A fully-enclosed, shaded backyard for zoomies and lots of walks around our safe, dog-friendly, and tree-lined neighborhood. Your fur baby will be under our supervision throughout the day and will get frequent trips to the yard and lots of time to play. We're also happy to walk your dog as often as you need. We’re always happy to be flexible with your schedule to accommodate both your and your dog’s needs.
“Sherrie was great! Super nice and accommodating, she was able to watch our pup Zoe on Christmas on short notice. Zoe had a wonderful day with Sherrie and her doodles, and even came home with some homemade Christmas treats! 🎄😊”

“It’s Cub’s second time under Catherine’s care (and Cashew’s company). Even in brick weather, she takes the dogs for walks — which they love. Catherine is accommodating and makes sure the needs of both the fur parents and fur babies are taken care of. Thanks for the apples, too! Til next time. :)”

“We had a last minute booking due to an unexpected situation and we were desperately in need of a babysitter for our little guy. Karla was extremely responsive, friendly, and caring. My little guy just walked right in to her home as if he knew her all his life. He looked so happy when I picked him up. I will definitely recommend Karla and will be using her services again.”

We are from Delaware and contacted Sherrie about daycare for our dog Casey while we visited with my sister, and then the next day to attend a family gathering. We could not have made a better choice. From the first meeting we felt comfortable leaving our nine and a half year old boy with Sherrie. She sent photos and updates, and when we picked him up the first day we could tell he was well taken care of. When we dropped him off the second day he went with Sherrie without hesitation. We will definitely be in touch with Sherrie again to watch Casey as we travel to the area often for family events. Bill

They accepted my last minute booking. Very communicative and just really friendly people. They were accommodating with my senior dog needs. You could tell they have alot of experience caring with pets. Such and pawsome sitter. Thank you and I hope you’ll accept our future requests.

Pierre and Minji were wonderful with Coco. This has been the first time she was calm at another place other than home. I could tell they treated as their own dog. Communication was great at all times and they are just lovely people. I’m so happy to have found this amazing pair to trust Coco with anytime.

As always Catherine is reliable. Cub is used to her and her sweet Cashew. Her place is dog-friendly and so is the area by her apartment. She takes Cub for walks and sends us photos. She just knows what to do and we trust her. Thank you so much, Catherine for caring for Cub.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
