“Kiky was an excellent sitter. She communicated very well and provided frequent updates including very cute pictures of our dog Honey. About: Hi! I’m a pet lover with a flexible schedule and a home with a large fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. I currently have a friendly Golden Retriever and a senior cat, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime outside, or just relaxing indoors, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’ll also send plenty of photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away without worrying. I work for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. Dogs will get regular potty breaks, outdoor time in my fenced yard, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends and can usually accommodate different schedules. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play. I also have a friendly Golden Retriever who enjoys meeting other dogs. Every pet is different, so I follow each owner’s instructions and try to keep their usual routine as much as possible. I provide regular photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Mariah was extremely helpful when I needed a sitter on a short notice! She was communicative and sent pictures of my puppy to let me know how he was settling in. I had an event that was going to keep me out past midnight and Mariah was so flexible to keep Fitzy late and let me get him once I was complete with the event. I would recommend her!”

“Essence is wonderful with my dog Luccky. She’s very careful and caring with Lucky, and is so flexible and helpful when planning daycare or walks! I highly recommend Essence!!”

“Tao and his daughter did a wonderful job with our boy Logan. He kept in constant contact and answered all of our questions and even sent over pictures of our special boy throughout the day without being asked to do so. We're going to continue to have our boy stay there when needed. We feel very lucky to have met him and his daughter.”

“Sherrie was great! Super nice and accommodating, she was able to watch our pup Zoe on Christmas on short notice. Zoe had a wonderful day with Sherrie and her doodles, and even came home with some homemade Christmas treats! 🎄😊”

About: Hi there! I’ve been lucky enough to have dogs in my life for over 20 years, so I really know what it takes to keep them happy and healthy. Growing up with dogs taught me all the little things that make a big difference in their care—whether it’s their exercise needs or just knowing when they need a good belly rub! Right now, I’ve got a super friendly 40lb Mini Bernedoodle who’s all about having fun, so I totally get how important it is to make walks enjoyable and stress-free for your dog. I’m here to make sure your pup has a great time, gets plenty of love, and stays safe on every walk. If you’re looking for a relaxed, dog-loving walker who knows how to keep tails wagging, I’d love to help out! I work from home, part time, so I'm home most of the day and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your dog plenty of attention. I'm ready to give them all the love and attention they need. Your dog will be in good hands, whether it's a walk, a game, or just a cozy cuddle session! When your pooch is at my place, they’ll be treated just like my dog, Luna! They’ll have full access to the furniture, get all the cuddles, and enjoy the same care and attention Luna gets. I believe pets should feel at home, so I make sure they’re comfortable and loved during their stay. If I’m taking care of your dog at your place, I’ll follow your routine and make sure they’re happy and well-looked after. I’ll give them plenty of playtime, walks, and lots of love—just like I do for Luna!

About: I work from home and have been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy, safe dogs—and want to share it with your fur baby! - We’ve raised our 3-year-old mini poodle to be a happy, gentle and well-rounded pup. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and the occasional cat! - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard with tennis balls and frisbees where your beloved fur baby can get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in shade, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care and cuddles you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs, whether it be diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. - ¡Se habla español! Si tu perrito se siente más cómodo que le hable en español, solo díganos cuáles comandos utilizan. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we have found this out the hard way. So I hope our home can become a place you can rely on and feel safe leaving your little bundle. Note: Because we want everyone to have a good, safe time, it’s our policy to always do a meet-and-greet for all new clients to make sure our dog and yours get along well! A fully-enclosed, shaded backyard for zoomies and lots of walks around our safe, dog-friendly, and tree-lined neighborhood. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Englewood
Kiki took amazing care of our Pippa! She kept us updated throughout the day with multiple photos and messages about how Pippa was doing, including potty breaks, meals, and playtime. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands. Pippa clearly had the best time and came home happy and relaxed. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Kiki again. Highly recommend! 🐶❤️

I can’t say enough good things about Jennie and Miran. Petey adores Jennie, he gets so excited to see her. She often takes care of him during the day and will pick him up and drop him off, though thats not the norm. I don’t need to worry about anything because I know they’re giving him plenty of love while he’s in their home. Petey’s behavior has not always been stellar, yet her response is to try to bring him and Bambi closer together to be good friends. I would recommend them to anyone, they’re just really good people and will take excellent care of your furry friends. 🩷

Narjes was the best! She was so kind and you could tell that she was an animal lover. Even though Smokey had an accident she still treated him with all the love he needed and she also kept me constantly updated. When the time comes again for a sitter, there is no other place I’d have in mind!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Englewood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
