“Jennifer was excellent with my cats. One needs a lot of attention and logistics. Jennifer managed the feeding instructions and gave lots of love. I will absolutely hire her again.”

“Binta was a wonderful sitter for my Cleo! I appreciate how she took the time to get to know Cleo and wrote meaningful updates. Cleo is a shy, reserved girl but Binta was able to get through to her! I hope to book with Binta again in the future. Thanks for everything, Binta!!”

About: I enjoy creating a special bond with dogs and cats, always going beyond walking, feeding, and keeping them company. I am committed to not disrupting current schedules while providing extra enrichment and giving your baby another human to trust. It is important to me that everyone leaves better because of that trust and time spent, including myself. Special skills include long term care, caring for 3+ animals, puppy training, medication administration (including cbd), senior care, caring for anxious animals, as well as reptile care (I am a reptile parent). I work freelance, giving me full control of my weekly schedule. Pet care seamlessly fits into my routine because it is already a part of my routine, I have been in pet care consistently for 6 years. I also must be walked daily, and enjoy taking those walks in different neighborhoods with different companions. I prefer to care for pets in spaces where they feel comfortable and safe, their home. While I am in your home I am always respectful and clean. It is important to me that I have an understanding of house rules, your pets schedule, and emergency contacts including their vet.
“Laudianny was absolutely fantastic! I was so anxious to leave my dogs for a few days but she made the experience seamless. Great communication, super kind and each pic I got the boys looked so happy. Would highly recommend.”

“⸻ Let me just say—after my first two dog sitters, I almost gave up on this app 🙂. But I’m so glad I found Victor. He is incredibly kind and truly cares. My dog absolutely loves him—he wags his tail and gets just as excited to see Victor as he does to see me, which says everything. Victor is also very reliable. He doesn’t just stick to the exact booked time or show up late like others. He often arrives a few minutes early and sometimes stays a little longer, which I really appreciate. It shows how genuine and dedicated he is. I also have a camera at home, since my dog can’t tell me about his day—and it’s clear that Victor treats him with care and attention. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!”

About: I’ve had the joy of being around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with both small and large breeds since I was a little girl. Caring for them is a lifelong passion for me. I love not only spending time with dogs but also training them, learning about their unique personalities, and making sure they feel happy, healthy, and understood. My goal as a sitter is to give each dog the same level of love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is thriving while you’re away. As a freelance artist, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to tailor my day around the needs of the pets I care for. My work in the arts gives me the freedom to be present for regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. Because I can easily adjust my routine, I’m able to give each pet consistent attention and love. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my own home or in a client’s home, safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are in a secure environment that they are free from hazards, with access to fresh water, comfortable resting areas, and plenty of safe play space. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, from feeding routines to exercise schedules, and keep a watchful eye on the pet’s behavior and well-being. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and ensure it’s kept tidy and secure. My goal is to provide both the pet and their owner with peace of mind, knowing they’re in a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment.
About: Hello!! I am an absolute dog lover, I’ve dog-sit for friends and family including feeding, walking, and playing with their animals! Im very attentive to detail and making sure feeding and walking stays consistent with their daily schedule. I have experience with very high energy dogs as I’ve primarily taken care of dogs from the range of 1-3 years old. I’m free all days of the week from early mornings to late evenings. I am also available to do multiple walks throughout the day if needed. While I am not providing care in my own home I would typically clean up, make sure there is nothing that is of danger to the dogs. I also will remove any food or drink off my counters, typically for the larger dogs that may be able to reach them.
“I’ve booked Alexandria twice now and hope to do so more in the future- what can I say, I feel secure and confident in her services. She's reliable and warm, so food with my beast. Super knowledgeable about cat behavior and full on helpful advice; thank you, Ali!”

“Shelley was absolutely great! She came in exactly when she said she would and went above and beyond caring for my cat. She took the time to give my cat attention, made sure the food and water bowls were full, and stayed in constant communication with me throughout. I especially appreciated the photo updates—it gave me such peace of mind. I highly recommend Shelley to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: My name is Jacob and I love dogs! I’ve been walking them and training them since I was seven-years-old. I have experience with dogs both big and small as well as breeds such as pit-bulls, mastiffs, and labradors. I’m comfortable with any type of dog. As for my previous experience, I used to walk dogs in my neighborhood in New York City where I grew up. I also love cats! I have a nice fluff-ball named Deebo. I love the little guys! I have references and will provide them upon request. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I work night shifts starting at 10:30pm (starting on May 18th) but I’ll be available during the day and evening. Mornings are best, but I’m flexible. I will treat your home with the utmost respect and will cherish your pet. I take pride in my work and will ensure that it will seem like I was never there.
“Shaun was fantastic - I cannot recommend Shaun enough. A few great things about Shaun: 1) He was incredibly professional - Shaun asked all of the right questions (ones I even forgot) upfront to make sure he was prepared for the day. He was on time (early!) and got right to helping our dog Spike while I was working. He sent a full day debrief after meeting which was so helpful. 2) He did a great job with our puppy! Shaun spent a lot of time playing, walking and hanging out with our dog. We are so grateful to have found someone who loves our puppy! He also sent a lot of pictures which was awesome. Can't wait to hire Shaun again!”

“Samantha is prompt, super reliable and very sweet with animals. She was a huge help over the holidays and provided us with lots of photos of Oliver for our peace of mind. Thank you!”

“Leonore was great! She was very communicative and we appreciated that a lot, she also checked in regularly and the dogs were very well taken care of!”

“Kristal is our regular sitter, so our reviews have likely become repetitive. Needless to say, she’s our regular sitter, because she’s reliable, sweet with the kitties, and a very nice person to work with. Thank you as always!”

“Paige was awesome with taking care of our three kitties while we were away. She sent detailed notes and great pictures. We knew they were in great hands! We will definitely use her again next time we need a sitter.”

Ellen is SUPER communicative and always quick to send fantastic pics and updates! She also handled administering medication to our cat while we were away. Knowing Ellen was caring for our cats helped us feel less anxious and worried while we were traveling.

Leta has been watching my dog since she was a puppy, and I can’t recommend her enough! She has always been amazing with her, from handling all of her puppy energy to caring for her as she’s gotten older. Leta is incredibly reliable and trustworthy, whether she’s taking her for walks while I’m at work or staying with her for an extended period. Most recently, she watched my dog while I was out of the country for two weeks, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was with someone I trust. She sent me such great updates through out the trip. My dog loves her, and I always know she’s in great hands with Leta!

This is already strong! I’d just smooth out the repetition of “cat” and tighten it a little: Nicole went above and beyond taking care of my senior cat. He takes three different medications, and she was able to dispense them with no issues. She also sent a ton of pictures, including many of him being cuddly and sweet with her, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. I recommend Nicole 11/10!

Angelique is a consistent, caring sitter who I adore working with on a regular basis. She provides tons of pictures and clearly enjoys spending time with critters. She has even gotten my shyest cat comfortable with her- which is an achievement! Always grateful for her service.

Aisha proves time and again that her care for the pets she looks after is impeccable. She is kind, caring, and incredibly attentive, always willing to offer thoughtful suggestions when needed. She is a true and gentle cat whisperer. You are lucky to have your beloved four-legged friends in her care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
