About: Hi, I’m Erick! I’ve cared for dogs since childhood and have years of experience walking, sitting, and making pups feel safe and loved. I recently started working as a school bus driver, which shows the patience and responsibility I bring to everything I do. My schedule is: • Mon–Fri: Available 9:30–11 AM & after 6 PM • Weekends: Fully open Even though Rover shows I don’t send photos 100% of the time, that’s only because I usually text updates and photos directly to owners for faster communication. Rest assured, you’ll always know how your pup is doing! Whether it’s a walk or drop-in, I’ll treat your dog like family and keep their routine consistent. Monday – Thursday • Availability: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM • 30-Minute Walks: $20 • Drop-Ins (45 minutes): $30 (Includes walking, feeding, refreshing water, playtime, and small additional services.) Friday • Availability: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM & 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM • 30-Minute Walks: $20 • Drop-Ins (45 minutes): $30 Saturday – Sunday • Open availability • Weekend Fee: +$5 added to walks and drop-ins — Walks: $25 — Drop-Ins: $35 I’ll get on the ground with your dog, ensuring they feel comfortable and engaged. I provide walks at least two times a day, or more if needed, and make sure they’re fed two to three times daily—or as often as you prefer.
About: Hello there everyone! My name is Barri, and I am very excited to be offering my sitting services to the community! I am looking forward to meeting all of your furry companions. I am an absolute dog lover, and I would provide your dog with the proper care and plenty of love and affection. I have.been a dog owner most of my life, and I am very aware of their daily needs for proper nourishment, physical activity, and socialization. To me pets are part of our families, and they should be treated as such. I know how much our furry companions mean to us so of course whatever you tell me your dog needs is what they will receive. With my tender love and care your pet will be in good hands! I am home every day of the week and available to provide care on weekends as well. I am able to drive so distance is no issue. I only sit one dog at a time. I have a cozy apartment with enough space to run around and feel cozy in a dog bed or on my couch! I make sure my home is kept free of any safety hazards and Iisten to all instructions from the owner. Your dog will be safe with a lot of TLC!!
About: New to Rover? Use code BIANCB29046 for $20 off your first booking. Hi, I’m Bianca—a lifelong dog lover serving Riverdale, Kingsbridge, Spuyten Duyvil, Yonkers, and Southern Westchester! I run a small, intimate boutique doggy daycare and boarding service, ensuring your pup gets plenty of personalized attention in a safe and stress-free environment. Unlike large, overcrowded facilities, I keep things cozy so your furry baby can socialize, play, and relax just like they would at home. I also offer dog walking in Riverdale and Kingsbridge. About Me: 🐾 Born & raised in Riverdale – your local dog-loving neighbor! 🎓 Columbia grad & triathlete – active and attentive, so your pup gets plenty of love and care. 🐕 Experienced dog mom – I know how important safety and trust are (especially for pups who love to snack on random things!). 💼 Laid off 6 months ago – growing my small business while job hunting, so your support means the world to me! I know firsthand how stressful it can be to find someone trustworthy to care for your dog while you’re at work, traveling, or on vacation. That’s why I provide frequent updates, photos, and a meet-and-greet beforehand, so you feel at ease knowing your pup is in good hands. Let’s give your dog a fun, safe, and loving experience while you enjoy peace of mind. Message me to set up a meet-and-greet—I’d love to welcome your pup into my home! 🐕💛 ——————————- Standard Daycare: Standard daycare covers up to 10 hours between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM (8 am if you drop off, 9-10 am if I pick up from home) Extended Care: Drop-offs before 8:00 AM or pick-ups after 7:00 PM are welcome when my schedule allows and will incur an additional $10 per hour (or portion thereof). Overnight Care: Any pick-up scheduled after 8:00 PM will automatically be converted to my standard boarding rate, as it requires overnight care and accommodations. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, especially since I'm currently working from home and applying to jobs, giving me plenty of time to focus on providing personalized care and attention to your dog alongside mine. I’m available 7 days a week with advance notice, ensuring flexibility and dedicated support for your pet’s needs. I have a dog-friendly home, as I own a pup myself, so everything is set up for safety and comfort. My dog is the friendliest cuddle bug, gentle and playful—perfect company for your dog. I also have a crate available if crating is preferred for sleeping or when I'm away, ensuring your pet's routine is maintained while they're with me. I also will take many pictures of your dog daily and send them to you :) My home is a calm and dog friendly environment designed to help dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Occasional barking, especially during play or adjustment periods, is completely normal and expected. However, dogs with excessive reactive barking toward people, dogs, noises, or movement may not be the best fit for my home environment. My home is a fully potty-trained household, so I ask that all dogs staying with me be fully house-trained as well. I completely understand that occasional accidents can happen, especially during the initial adjustment period in a new environment. However, repeated indoor accidents or marking behavior are not a good fit for my home environment and may result in an additional cleaning fee if extensive cleaning is required.
“Liliana was such a great cat sitter! My cat, Indy, immediately gravitated towards her. She sent so many pictures too each visit which was really nice. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again soon!”

About: Hi, I’m Arobi! As a pet parent to my cat Tutun, I know how much love—and trust—goes into letting someone care for your furry family member. I have one year of dog-walking experience, and I’d love to give your pup some fresh air, company, and time to enjoy their favorite sniffing spots. I offer one-on-one walks so your dog gets my full attention, with a pace that suits them and your instructions always in mind. You’ll receive a photo and a little update after every walk. Before our first booking, we’ll meet to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I’m available for weekend walks, with pickup and return outside your building with you present. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I offer dog walks on Saturdays and Sundays, with times arranged together before booking. I keep my schedule manageable so your pup gets my full attention and an unhurried walk. You’ll receive a photo and a little update afterward! I want both you and your dog to feel comfortable with me. We’ll meet before our first booking to discuss their routine and make sure we’re a good fit. I walk one dog at a time, check that their leash and harness are secure, and keep them leashed throughout. Pickup and return take place outside your building with you present.
“kristine was so communicative, attentive and compassionate! she kindly took care of our kitties for an extended period of time and was so wonderful throughout the whole process. she provided lots of wonderful notes and pictures every day. highly highly recommend!! ❤️”

About: I have taken care of animals since i was in middle school. I have a dog and cat of my own and i love them so much. Seeing them satisfied throughout the day and loving them is the best feeling I’m currently going to college monday- Thursday. However i have a lot of free time so my schedule will be flexible. I enjoy animals! My house if full of love having 3 siblings that all adore animals as we already have 2. And we all walk our dog and feed them whenever is needed- No arguments there- we make sure our dog is full!!
About: My experience with animals goes beyond just having pets of my own! I’ve raised my cat, Khloe, since she was a newborn, cared for my boyfriend’s senior dog Gizmo (RIP), and even helped care for a family member’s puppy (Romeo) who was sick with a UTI. That meant keeping up with more frequent walks and giving the puppy extra attention throughout the week. I’ve also managed to keep three carnival goldfish (Darwin, Sayuri, and Mohawk) happy and healthy for over two years! From young pets who need supervision to senior pets who may need a gentler hand, I’ve learned every animal has different needs, but deserve the same patience consistency and love. I’m also a photographer and artist, so I LOVE catching those goofy moments that fill every pet owners phone gallery. If your pet becomes my buddy, don’t be surprised if you get an entire complimentary photo shoot! I will also be happy to clean your fur baby afterwards (yuck nyc floors) and provide poop bags, toys, treats, etc if needed! OVERNIGHT PET SITTING HOURS ARE: 7PM-8AM. If you require constant care during extended stays, (I can’t leave your home for any period of time) please let me know. I’m currently in college full time. We can work together to find the best schedule 🐾 Whether it is in my home or yours, my priority is making sure the fur baby is safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the usual feeding, walking, playtime, and rest routines as closely as possible. In your home, I’ll respect your space, keep your pet areas cleaner than you left them, and make sure they have fresh food and water.
“Karen is great! She’s very friendly and professional and provides thorough updates. I know my cat is in good hands with her and I don’t have to worry. I think my cat likes her more than me, haha.”

About: I had plenty of pets growing up and I take full responsibility for pets. I will care for your pets as they were family 👪 My schedule is pretty flexible and I would work around your schedule for your convenience. Let me know how I can help you 😌 ☺ I listen more than I speak. I fully understand that they're more than pet's, they're a part of the family and I fully understand that

“Tosha was fantastic. I left for a longer than usual time on vacation; and Tosha came by on daily basis to watch and check-in on my cat, Buddy. Tosha was communicative, helpful, and did a wonderful job watching over him. She even went above and beyond to help clean up after Buddy when he made some messes in the apartment. I'm very grateful for her help, will book her in the future, and recommend others do as well.”

About: I grew up with dogs of all kinds back in my country, Georgia. I fed and took care of many feral dogs as well as domestic. Over the last two years, I've assisted my partner in her dog walking endeavors and have learned a lot about their behaviors. I'm very strong and can make sure your dog will be safe and active with me, if needed. I have experience with different breeds including the Caucasian Shepherd, large mixes and apartment breeds. My schedule is very flexible so I have open availability at the moment. I'm looking forward to walking your pup any time, any day. I have a yard at home and a puppy and cats to keep them company. My partner is also usually home to care for them if I need to be anywhere. Whether at mine or yours, I will follow their schedule and make sure your pup is thriving.

About: I bring attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your specific creature and their specific personality. I've been pet parent to dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes to my current Sheepadoodle — there's no dog size or personality that's too much or too little, IMHO. And my experience extends well beyond dogs — cats, snakes, farm animals 🐐, and more. I also happen to share my home with a ball python named Fettuccine Alfredo 🐍, who is a distinguished, low-drama fellow. As a plant parent, I will watch after yours indoor jungles, outdoor gardens, that one fiddle leaf fig you're nervous about. If you need someone who will actually look at your monstera and not just splash water in its general direction, that's me. (My avocado tree, grown from a pit, is thriving. I'm not taking questions.) Housesitting, dog walking, drop-in visits, basic training — I've got you. And if you're going away and need the whole ecosystem looked after, pets, plants, and all, I'd love to meet you. Pet care fits naturally into the rhythm of my week. My mornings are consistently free, which works well for walks and drop-in visits, and I have flexibility on Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for longer stays or housesitting. On days when I'm teaching in the afternoons and evenings, I'm still available in the mornings — and I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I'm never stretched too thin across clients. This isn't something I'm squeezing in around a packed schedule — it's something I've made genuine room for. When I'm in your home for drop-in visits or housesitting, I treat it with the same care and attention I'd give my own. That means following your routines exactly as you've set them, keeping things tidy, and making sure your pets are comfortable and unstressed in their own environment. I take detailed notes at meet-and-greets so nothing gets missed while you're away. On walks, I keep dogs leashed and attentive to their individual energy and needs — a reactive dog gets a very different walk than a social butterfly, and I know the difference. I bring over thirty years of animal experience to reading body language and behavior, so I'm not caught off guard by much. My own home includes a ball python and two cats, so I'm well practiced in managing a multi-species household safely and calmly. I don't offer boarding, which means your dog's visit to my home would only ever be for a meet-and-greet in a low-key, relaxed setting. In any situation that feels off — health, behavior, anything — I err on the side of contacting you immediately and getting to a vet if needed. You'll never be left guessing.

As for my previous experience, I used to walk dogs in my neighborhood in New York City where I grew up. I also love cats! I have a nice fluff-ball named Deebo. I love the little guys! I have references and will provide them upon request. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I work night shifts starting at 10:30pm (starting on May 18th) but I’ll be available during the day and evening. Mornings are best, but I’m flexible. “⸻ Let me just say—after my first two dog sitters, I almost gave up on this app 🙂. But I’m so glad I found Victor. He is incredibly kind and truly cares. My dog absolutely loves him—he wags his tail and gets just as excited to see Victor as he does to see me, which says everything. Victor is also very reliable. He doesn’t just stick to the exact booked time or show up late like others. He often arrives a few minutes early and sometimes stays a little longer, which I really appreciate. It shows how genuine and dedicated he is. I also have a camera at home, since my dog can’t tell me about his day—and it’s clear that Victor treats him with care and attention. That gives me a lot of peace of mind. He will definitely be my to-go dog sitter moving forward!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodlawn
Elisa did a fantastic job taking care of our cats while we were away! She gave us updates and photos daily of how they were doing. There was a situation where one cat accidentally consumed the medication meant for the other cat and she called us right away and volunteered to drop in extra to make sure that he was okay and didn’t need veterinary attention. We 100% recommend Elisa and will definitely book her again!

Our cats absolutely love Angelique! They are always so happy to have her visit and care for them. She is incredibly detailed and always sends us lots of photos. She also makes sure to spend a lot of time with them, playing, petting and generally giving them attention. Highly recommended!!!

Brandon is an exceptional sitter! He got back to me in a timely manner even when i requested his services a bit last minute. My German Shepherd pup loves him and I feel comfortable leaving him in his care. He kept us updated if anything happened and even took some cute photos of our kitty at home. If you’re looking for a trustworthy sitter, Brandon is your guy!

Wonderful cat sitter!!! So gentle and attentive with my cat who can sometimes be a challenge to read. Did everything we asked, sent videos and even took time to play with him and brush him. Will absolutely book again if we are out of town and need a cat sitter !

We love working with Jorge. He is the gold standard for professionalism and consistency. With other dog sitters (private and on platforms) we’ve seen a pattern where they are engaged at first and then trail off, but we have been working with Jorge for a long while and he has never given less than 110%. Best caregiver we have worked with for our sweet girl!

Let’s begin by saying I’ve never left my dogs for more than a few days and if so usually with just my mom. I had to go away for a family vacay and was so anxious as one of my doggies has to take his heart medication every 12hrs. Being away for 7 days while everyone I trusted was on this trip with me and thank god I came across Laudianny she was AMAZING! She was puntual and amazing with my babies. She was so good with link and his medicine and so loving with Lily 💕 all my dogs loved her. I will 100% be booking with her again!
Grace has been a tremendous help with taking care of Bianca. She is always punctual, reliable, and great at communicating. We feel very fortunate to have found someone as kind, caring, and trustworthy as Grace. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
