Bryant was excellent with my senior dog. He was incredibly experienced in terms of my dog’s specific needs, including diaper changes and being mindful of her dementia traits. He was also very communicative and offered multiple updates throughout the day.

Dawn and her son Adam were professional and fabulous from our very first communication with them about house- and dog-sitting for us. Adam and Finn took to each other immediately, we felt entirely comfortable leaving Finn in Adam’s capable hands, and it was obvious to us upon our return that Adam had taken immaculate care of both Finn and our home for the week we were away. We look forward to having Adam come back to stay with Finn soon. Thank you both so much!

Jorge did a wonderful job with our babes! We have two Great Pyrenees dogs and two Turkish Van cats who can really be a handful. This is the first time we have been able to leave town since we got the dogs over a year ago. Jorge sent us photo updates each day and our pets looked so happy and comfortable. We are so pleased that we have found a pet sitter we can trust to take care of our babies.

About: I’ve had my two cats for about three years now, and we’ve built a routine together around feeding, playing, sleeping, and everything in between. Every day when I walk through the door, they’re the first two to greet me. I make sure they’re always fed, clean, hydrated, well cared for, and most importantly, safe. I work full time during the week, so I’m generally unavailable during the day, but I’m usually free in the evenings after work and have full availability on weekends. I live in a two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment with a private, enclosed patio where my cats can safely explore outdoors without the risk of escaping. We also have an extra bedroom set up so they have their own space and time when they want it.

Lili was awesome to work with and was an excellent sitter for our pup over 9 days! This was our first time using a sitter for an extended time so I had a bit of nervousness, but he was in the best hands! She was very responsive and provided regular updates, was timely, took great care of him with walks, dropping/picking up at daycare to maintain his regular schedule, cuddles, playtime and he even visited her home as well. And bonus, our apt was spotless upon return. Would absolutely hire Lili again and I know our pup will miss her.

Savanna and Maddy took amazing care of our shy cat. We got updates daily with pictures and a summary on how she was doing, and it was very evident that Savanna was extremely knowledgable about cats and was treating ours with both love and respect. We came back to a clean home and a happy cat, and are planning to book with them again. I would 100% recommend these ladies to anyone looking for a sitter who has buckets of love to give and the knowledge to back it up.

He looked great when we got back, and we're so grateful we found Latasha! Maxwell says thank you for the wonderful care – so do we!

About: With over 15 years of experience in the pet care industry, caring for animals isn’t just my job—it’s my passion. I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors, and I also have experience caring for cats, reptiles, rodents, and other exotic pets. As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner myself, I understand that every pet is a member of the family. I currently care for multiple animals of my own, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to provide loving, dependable care while you’re away. In addition to my professional experience, I volunteer at a local animal shelter and have experience with dog training, allowing me to confidently work with dogs that have different temperaments and training needs. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, playtime, cuddles, medication, or extra patience, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m also bilingual, making it easy to communicate with a wider range of pet parents. My goal is to provide personalized, reliable care that gives you peace of mind and keeps your furry, feathered, or scaly family members happy and healthy. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work remotely, which means I’m home throughout the day and can provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship for your pet. My flexible schedule allows me to accommodate potty breaks, playtime, feedings, medication schedules, and plenty of one-on-one care. I’m available on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays. I also have reliable transportation and can provide pick-up and drop-off services for your convenience. For active pups, I also offer adventure hikes and structured pack walks (with compatible dogs) if that’s something you’re interested in. Whether your pet prefers an active outing or a relaxing day at home, I’m happy to tailor their care to their individual needs and routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under supervision. My home is a spacious two-story house with a finished basement, which allows me to comfortably separate pets if needed for feeding, decompression, introductions, or if a dog simply prefers their own space. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take the time to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I’ll provide patient, individualized care to help them feel safe and at home. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and never leave pets unattended in the yard. Fresh water is always available, and I closely monitor all playtime and interactions. For multi-pet households, I prioritize slow introductions and only allow dogs to interact if they are comfortable and compatible. (If allowed) I’m experienced working with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats and other small animals, and I’m comfortable administering medications if needed. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in caring, capable hands.

About: I enjoy creating a special bond with dogs and cats, always going beyond walking, feeding, and keeping them company. I am committed to not disrupting current schedules while providing extra enrichment and giving your baby another human to trust. It is important to me that everyone leaves better because of that trust and time spent, including myself. Special skills include long term care, caring for 3+ animals, puppy training, medication administration (including cbd), senior care, caring for anxious animals, as well as reptile care (I am a reptile parent). I work freelance, giving me full control of my weekly schedule. Pet care seamlessly fits into my routine because it is already a part of my routine, I have been in pet care consistently for 6 years. I also must be walked daily, and enjoy taking those walks in different neighborhoods with different companions. I prefer to care for pets in spaces where they feel comfortable and safe, their home. While I am in your home I am always respectful and clean. It is important to me that I have an understanding of house rules, your pets schedule, and emergency contacts including their vet.

FAQs for House Sitting - Woodlawn

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Woodlawn on Rover is $64.2 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 18,934 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Woodlawn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodlawn walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodlawn maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodlawn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
