“Antonio was a wonderful babysitter for my two puppies. One of my dogs has severe separation anxiety, and Antonio was incredibly attentive and patient with him. He kept me consistently updated throughout the day, was very communicative, and shared plenty of pictures, which gave me great peace of mind. At the end of the visit, he even offered helpful tips that I truly appreciated as a first-time dog owner. I would absolutely recommend him.”

“Tenielle is great! Our dogs adore her, they were well cared for and our house was well looked after! I appreciated her taking the time to come and meet us before hiring her. She kept in touch with us while we were away and we loved receiving pictures during our trip. Your furry family will be taken care of with Tenielle!”

“Jorge did a wonderful job with our babes! We have two Great Pyrenees dogs and two Turkish Van cats who can really be a handful. This is the first time we have been able to leave town since we got the dogs over a year ago. Jorge sent us photo updates each day and our pets looked so happy and comfortable. We are so pleased that we have found a pet sitter we can trust to take care of our babies.”

“Yazmine was the absolute best!! She took care of my puppy, who is cute but also a puppy. She kept me abreast of what was happening, helped come up with a strategy to help him sleep in his crate, and played with him endlessly. I could not have asked for a better partner. Thank you!”

“Kamryn is truly the best!! We have used her multiple times when away on trips to look after our house and dogs. She frequently sends updates and pictures and her communication is frequent and perfect!! Our dogs feel so safe and comfortable with Kamryn and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Ellie was an excellent dog sitter. She arrived on time , even when we changed the time for her to come sooner. I explained to her that our dog is still new to us and in mid-training, so she should expect the walks to be difficult and she should keep them short. While we were out, she gave us constant updates, and told us he was actually doing great on walks and they got to explore, which meant he had a really good time even though we were out. When we came back he seemed so fulfilled! Also Ellie is awesome herself and knows a lot about the Westchester area. Highly recommend.”

About: I've been a lifelong pet owner and currently a dog dad of 2 golden retrievers (Mabel 2yo and Josie 6yo), as well as a cat dad of 2 (Archie 3mos and Theo 7yo). They aren't just pets but family and I treat them that way. My absolute favorite parts of my day is the time I get to spend with them - walks, feeding, playtime, etc. It makes my day and I love getting to give my time and energy towards bringing animals joy every day. Having pets of my own means that this is already built into my day and I would love to share that and pass it along. Besides my own pets and long before Rover existed, I have spent most of my adult life caring for other people's pets as well. Amongst friends and coworkers it has always been a known thing and I am grateful for the may years of experience I've gained from this. I would treat all the animals as if they were my own and give them the love and attention they deserve. I currently work from home with a completely flexible schedule, so have plenty of time to spend with other animals and make it part of my routine. Josie and Mabel especially love to meet and make new friends I would treat all the animals with love, respect, care and of course... lots of snuggles! Our home has a fenced in backyard and we know numerous places nearby that are dog friendly and where I already spend a bit of time and know the other people and dogs that are there.
“Bryant was excellent with my senior dog. He was incredibly experienced in terms of my dog’s specific needs, including diaper changes and being mindful of her dementia traits. He was also very communicative and offered multiple updates throughout the day.”

“We are so happy we met Nicole to watch our 2 pups and cat while we were away. She handled our 2 big pups like a pro - they are not the easiest and are a bit on guard when meeting new people but she quickly put them at ease. She sent daily updates and followed our instructions perfectly. I am very happy that we have Nicole to trust with our animals!”

“Maria was a wonderful dog sitter. This was our first experience with her. She has a very easy going disposition. We could tell how she loves being around dogs. And Jax responded nicely. We have never left our boy for such a long period of time. Her daily text messages and pictures allow us to relax and enjoy our vacation. We were totally at ease. She was also very attune to the house and tidied up. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I plan to use her again and would absolutely recommend her.”

Tuckahoe pet parents share their Rover experiences
Maria was wonderful with our mature boy, Jax. The booking process was easy and she was in touch with me before and during the time we were away. It made being away most enjoyable as we knew he was being well cared for. She was very respectful of our home and thoughtful to clean up. We are very happy to have found Maria through Rover to care for Jax.

I found Tenielle’s page on a whim and I am so glad I did! She watched my newly adopted rescue dog last minute and she was lovely. Tenielle made sure my pet was comfortable and made sure to go at her pace since she is timid with new people. She also sent pictures throughout the day of the two of them relaxing which is always nice to see!

Dawn and her son Adam were professional and fabulous from our very first communication with them about house- and dog-sitting for us. Adam and Finn took to each other immediately, we felt entirely comfortable leaving Finn in Adam’s capable hands, and it was obvious to us upon our return that Adam had taken immaculate care of both Finn and our home for the week we were away. We look forward to having Adam come back to stay with Finn soon. Thank you both so much!

Melisa was an amazing dog and house sitter! Frankie loved her and felt comfortable with her immediately. She communicated consistently, letting me know when she walked Frankie, that he did his business, and that he ate. She even sent adorable photos of him cuddling with her, which gave me so much peace of mind. Melisa left my house absolutely impeccable, watered my plants, and brought in my packages as well. I’m so excited to have found such a caring and responsible person, and I will definitely be booking her again!

Samantha H did a wonderful job for us last week. I needed to accompany my husband as he had a series of medical tests and scans at a hospital in Manhattan. The problem: our five month old beagle puppy Daisy, who had never been left alone before. By all accounts, including via several photos that Samantha sent to us on what became, unfortunately, a long day, Daisy and Samantha got along very easily. Daisy went for several walks, played in the backyard and seemed to have had a great time with Samantha. We enthusiastically recommend Samantha!
Jacqueline was fantastic for our unique house sitting request! They were flexible with our non-traditional evening timeframe, arrived promptly, and maintained excellent communication throughout. Most importantly, our large dog (who can be anxious in new places) was clearly happy and comfortable with them. We returned to find our pup relaxed and content. Would definitely book with Jacqueline again and highly recommend them to other pet parents!
