“Alexandra is wonderful with my dog Poppy! She took the time initially to get to know us and our neighborhood. She took time to understand Poppy’s likes and needs to ensure she would be comfortable during their time together. I have so much peace of mind knowing someone who cares about my dog is taking care of her!”

“Karen was a huge help to me and my wife, who had just sprained her ankle. Our dog is new to us and still not fully trained, but with my wife unable to walk him, Karen really helped us out, and she handled his walks with no problem!”

“Excellent, timely, and compassionate with my Momo! Will provide great walking service and offers dog sitting as well. Trustworthy and follows instructions perfectly. I recommend her!”

About: We've sat friends' dogs and cats for long weekends and had our own cat for 18 years until she passed away a few years ago. I generally work from home and we are usually home on the weekends unless there is a school vacation. I am available during the day to take dogs for walks at least every few hours. My husband works full time in office so he won't be home during weekdays, but he will help with the pet care in the mornings/evenings and on weekends. We would care for your pet as if it was our own and incorporate them into our daily life. We are happy to follow any instructions you provide and will give your pet plenty of attention and love while they stay with us.
About: Hi :) I'm a rising senior at Colorado College living in Denver for a summer internship. Ever since I could talk, I’ve loved dogs - possibly more than people sometimes. My family has always had dogs ranging from puppyhood to senior life, and I‘ve been the main caretaker and friend to all of them. My dogs were a purebred German Shepherd named Millie & a Rhodesian Ridgeback-Shepherd mix named Harold, so I am very comfortable with medium to large sized dogs (but the little ones are just as welcome!). Since high school, I've pet sat for dogs ranging from Huskies to Pitties to Chihuahuas (and a few cats in between). I play rugby and love to hike/run in my free time, so I am more than able to meet the needs of an especially energetic dog -- However I am also always down for a leisurely walk with a senior dog that just wants to chill in the park for a while :) I just fully joined this app (after initially setting up an account in middle school haha) and am primarily here to get to spend time with some lovely animals and help them have fun. Dogs are truly a gift to the world and it's my honor any time I get the chance to be around them! I currently work full time 8:30am - 5:30pm on weekdays, but am wide open before or afterwards and very flexible on weekends. I live pretty close to downtown, but I have a bike and a car so can get anywhere in the city relatively easily. If you are located very close to downtown I would even be able to do weekday afternoon walks/visits with enough advanced notice! I'm on here less for the money and more for the chance to spend time with some great animals so I'm happy to work with you on scheduling :) While I currently live in an airbnb in Denver I can't host animals at my home, however I have a ton of experience visiting clients' homes. I find this to be a better set up most of the time anyway since I want to make sure your pets are as comfortable as possible in my care. Before walking/sitting for you I'd love to set up a quick meet up where your pet can get to know me and I can make sure we are on the same page about what your animals need from me! Given my full time role, I wouldn't be able to give high quality petsitting care on weekdays, but I am more than happy to look after your animals full time on the weekend. Reach out to me with any questions :)
“Bella is wonderful. Not only is she great with my dog (and I'm sure everyone else's) she has her own dogs and cat....so she really understands how pet parents feel. The minute she met my dog, she came into my house, and started brushing him & rubbing his ears...you should have seen his FACE - He nearly fell asleep, lol. She definitely loves animals and she gets it. If she offered boarding/daycare, I'd totally trust her with my dog and I am VERY protective of my dog bc daycares in Riverdale allowed him to be attacked and harmed. She is careful and she actually cares.”
About: Hi I'm Dali! I've recently moved to Eastchester and excited to bring caring and reliable services to the neighborhood. In my previous location, I provided care to long-term recurring clients for over three years. I'm looking forward to meeting your pets and becoming a trusted part of their care routine. ** I love cats, dogs, bunnies and other small animals - will happily do 30 minute or 60 minute drop-in visits ** I can provide walks or drop-in visits during the weekends and select morning/evenings during the week day. Services include dog walks, litter box cleaning, feeding, and playtime. A little bit about me - I grew up with a cute bunny for 13 years named Puffy and loved playing with him as he had a ton of energy almost like a puppy. I fed him, bathed him, cleaned up his pan, clipped his nails (very carefully), and even administered medicine when he was older as the vet suggested. I had another bunny for 4 years after that, and have taken care of cats and dogs since then. One of my best experiences with animals was having my favorite animal of all time - a capuchin monkey - sit on my shoulder! I was over the moon.
“After my original dog walker no-showed for the walk-through that had been confirmed 8 hrs prior, I was in a pickle. We had 3 days to find someone to walk & feed our 3 dogs of varying ages and personalities. Kristine not only was available, she came to the walk through prepared with all the right questions to put us at ease. Jacqi, Caryn and Stevie can be a lot for anyone but she handled 8 days like a pro who genuinely cared. And to top it off we received at least 5 photos from every visit. We returned after a week away to happy and well cared for dogs and Kristine is the reason why. If you ever need a pet sitter, look no further!”

“I was honestly really worried about hiring a dog walker because my dog is very reactive, but Tatiana has been amazing. She is not only professional, arrives on time, but clearly experienced, which has put me at ease. I especially love the detailed updates in the app—it shows me everything about my dog’s walk and gives me total peace of mind. After just one walk, my dog already gets excited to see Tatiana, which says everything. I’m so grateful to have found her and will absolutely continue to use her services. Highly recommend!”

“Nicole is great. She helped me last minute in a pinch. I broke my foot so I can’t walk much and she helped me on Easter when everyone else was busy. Thank you!”
“Jorge is the perfect addition to our lives! He takes amazing care of the pups and is so professional. He’s the best thing to happen to us in 2025! Thank you Jorge!!!”

Currently working from home so I have time in my schedule. I am very attentive and super loving to all animals I watch. It fits perfectly. I care for your fur friends as if they were my own or my own kiddos. I would follow your instructions. I talk with you and make sure what you want, & I’ll do. Need a walk? Need someone to go to your home a feed the pup. I got you.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and currently have a 8 year old maltipoo named Ivy! My partner and I did Rover 6 years ago and loved it, so we’re back to meet more new doggies. I’ve cared for both big and small dogs, any size is welcome. We have a very spacious three bedroom townhome with lots of space. We have a large unfenced yard where the dogs can play on tie-outs. Love getting out and being active, so your dog and I can go on energetic walks or even runs with my partner. I work from home most of the week so my schedule is very flexible and happy to help! I’m currently working from home 2 days a week and my partner is home the other 2, so we will be able to offer a very flexible walk/potty schedule depending on eat dogs needs. My dog goes out every 2-4 hours and she gets lots of love throughout the day, but we have a backyard and are able to takes dogs for potty at any time! My backyard is unfenced on 2 sides a with a tree barrier on the unfenced sides, but we have many tie outs to make sure no one gets lost. I have lots of toys inside for playing and we treat all pets like they are our own. There is plenty of space in our 3 bedroom and 2 living room home and lots of dog beds for cuddling.
About: I’ve owned and cared for pets my whole life. I understand the anxiety that comes with having others care for your pets and I would love to ease your mind and help. Your babies will have my full attention. I love staying active and would love to take your pup on a long relaxing walk (run for those pups with more energy). I will care for your fur babies like they are my own. Very knowledgeable in reading dogs body language. This will provide you with peace of mind knowing your pup will be safe during their walks with me.

About: I have years of experience as a house/pet sitter, personal assistant and extensive childcare experience. I grew up with pets and am passionate about providing the best care for you and your furry friends! I work part time in the afternoons. I’m always looking to pick up a shift whenever I can! I have a car and am local to Yonkers. I excel at following instructions and carrying out tasks independently; I am able to think on my feet and make quick decisions, but prefer to keep things similar to your normal routine with your pup!
About: I’ve been taking care of animals since i was a little girl, always been the go to pet sitter when my mothers friends would leave town for a week or two And i’d be the one dropping in on my great grandma to help walk the dog, clean any messes that were made before i got there and made sure her fur baby was fed and bathed if necessary I love helping folks out with their furbaby’s and getting to know the personalities beneath all the fluff 🙂↕️ I’m currently unemployed at the moment so i’m home quite a bit with a lot of spare time. Plenty of time to take your furbaby’s out for walks, clean litter boxes, feed them and of course plenty of play time :) That entirely depends on the owner, people have unique routines and rules for their fur babies So please tell me in advance if your furbaby has any special needs or routines :)
“Victor is always great with our boys. We booked a last minute walk and appreciated that Victor was available. He communicates really well and takes beautiful photos.”

About: The main factor that sets me apart from other sitters is flexibility. I also have two very friendly dogs of my own, so walking and taking care of dogs is not just a job for me, it is a lifestyle. As mentioned above I have two dogs which I care for daily which includes walks, daily feeding, park time, and treats. I also take care of neighborhood and family dogs on a weekly basis with several recurring clients. I provide a fenced backyard area for the escape artists, and for those who have training off leash I have additional yard space which is mostly fenced. In the backyard there are several beds and play areas, along with a plethora of toys. Inside, since we have dogs of our own, the inside of my home is ready for any furry visitors including motion detection cameras surveying the inside and outside.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Tuckahoe is $24
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tuckahoe
I highly recommend Tatiana. She is always punctual, pleasant, and wonderful with my anxious dog, Bud. He genuinely looks forward to his walks with her. Tatiana is attentive, caring, and keeps me updated on any concerns she notices during their walks. Her reliability and communication give me great peace of mind, and I’m very impressed with the care she provides.

5 STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience — she was so kind, patient, and flexible, and sent beautiful photos throughout the walk. My dog came back super happy, and everything went so smoothly. Would DEFINITELY book her again. She also brought her own pup along, which was such a pleasant and much appreciated surprise since my dog does better with a support dog by his side.

Bella was really great with our Yogi Bear! It was his second time walking with her, and he already has grown attached. She is very dedicated and even worked with us to align schedules when there was a family emergency. We look forward to booking more future walks with her 🙂🐾.

I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker! She is incredibly professional, always punctual, and truly treats my dog like her own. It’s such a relief knowing my dog is in such loving and capable hands. She provides updates after walks and pays attention to the little details, which shows how much she genuinely cares. My dog gets so excited whenever she arrives, and that alone speaks volumes. She’s kind, and goes above and beyond every time. I’m so grateful we found her — she’s absolutely wonderful!

Linda was great with our Yogi Bear, and he absolutely loved her! We booked her in a squeeze, and she was able to adjust her schedule and make time for us, which we greatly appreciated! She also was very kind and patient with our boy despite his extra energy. And we could tell that she has a lot of experience with dogs- which is important to us as corgi parents. Overall, we look forward to looking with her again soon, and many thanks! 🐾🙂

PJ is the BEST!!! He's super reliable, always on time, sends the best pictures, gives Chewbacca lots of love and attention and communicates just the right amount. No wonder Chewy loves him. Maybe a little too much?!? Makes me a little jealous actually. But what's better than knowing your dog loves seeing his "second best friend!" I know he's in great and caring hands with PJ!

Andres is amazing! He is always our first choice to walk Minnie. He is kind, attentive, and very responsive. He follows all instructions and ensures to always give us updates on Minnie! He works extremely well with Minnie who is skittish and aloof. By the end of the service, Minnie was following him out of the door! Thank you, Andres! Hope to book with you again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
