Tenielle is always great but on this visit she couldn’t get into our house because we messed up the key situation. She waited an extra 15-20 minutes for a friend of ours to come over with a key. She still walked our dogs for the full thirty minutes. We appreciate Tenielle and the effort she made to ensure our dogs were walked.

About: I grew up with dogs of all kinds back in my country, Georgia. I fed and took care of many feral dogs as well as domestic. Over the last two years, I've assisted my partner in her dog walking endeavors and have learned a lot about their behaviors. I'm very strong and can make sure your dog will be safe and active with me, if needed. I have experience with different breeds including the Caucasian Shepherd, large mixes and apartment breeds. My schedule is very flexible so I have open availability at the moment. I'm looking forward to walking your pup any time, any day. I have a yard at home and a puppy and cats to keep them company. My partner is also usually home to care for them if I need to be anywhere. Whether at mine or yours, I will follow their schedule and make sure your pup is thriving.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life! I was raised with cats and two dobermans, and I began regularly pet sitting locally in my early teens. I’m comfortable with administering medicine, and I love getting to know pets and taking care of their needs! I am knowledgeable about training and am detail oriented to make sure your pet is comfortable and following their daily routine as closely as possible. I currently have two kitties at home and appreciate how important it is to find an attentive pet sitter for your beloved pets! Thank you in advance for trusting me with your sweet animal(s)! I’m currently working part time, and I am able to comfortably arrange my schedule to fit your pets’ needs! While I do not board, I am regularly available to stay overnight to house/pet sit! I understand how important it is to build trust between pet owners and sitters as well as between the pets themselves and their sitters! I am detail oriented and will check with you to make sure I understand your pet and their needs, and I love to send updates and photos to check in with owners!

After my original dog walker no-showed for the walk-through that had been confirmed 8 hrs prior, I was in a pickle. We had 3 days to find someone to walk & feed our 3 dogs of varying ages and personalities. Kristine not only was available, she came to the walk through prepared with all the right questions to put us at ease. Jacqi, Caryn and Stevie can be a lot for anyone but she handled 8 days like a pro who genuinely cared. And to top it off we received at least 5 photos from every visit. We returned after a week away to happy and well cared for dogs and Kristine is the reason why. If you ever need a pet sitter, look no further!

I was honestly really worried about hiring a dog walker because my dog is very reactive, but Tatiana has been amazing. She is not only professional, arrives on time, but clearly experienced, which has put me at ease. I especially love the detailed updates in the app—it shows me everything about my dog’s walk and gives me total peace of mind. After just one walk, my dog already gets excited to see Tatiana, which says everything. I’m so grateful to have found her and will absolutely continue to use her services. Highly recommend!

About: I’ve been passionately caring for dogs since I was 13 years old. Over the years, I’ve fostered and adopted multiple dogs, specializing in communication-based training, housebreaking, and custom communication techniques. I’ve successfully trained dogs to express their needs clearly—whether signaling to go outside, asking for water, or communicating when it's mealtime! Currently, I balance my college studies with working professionally as a dog handler. Because of my professional background in canine behavior and training, I understand how dogs think, learn, and communicate. Whether your dog needs structured exercise, high-energy playtime, or just a calm, confident handler while you're away, they will be in expert hands. Current Fall Schedule (August – December) I balance professional training and college courses, which keeps my routine structured and consistent. I am available for bookings on specific days each week: Morning Shift Days (Work 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM): Fully available for afternoon walks, drop-ins, evening visits, and overnight house sitting starting after 2:30 PM. Evening Shift Days (Work 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM): Available for early morning walks, breakfast drop-ins, and mid-day visits up until 1:00 PM. Overnight House Sitting: Available regularly! As long as your dog can be left comfortably during my work/class hours, I provide full overnight care, evening exercise, and morning routines. Winter & Spring Availability (Starting January) Beginning in December, my college semester ends and my availability expands significantly. I will have full, open availability alongside my standard work shifts for drop-ins, walks, and boarding/sitting. When staying at or visiting a client's home, safety, clear communication, and keeping your dog happy and comfortable are my top priorities: Potty Breaks & Routine Maintenance: I stick strictly to your pet's established routine for outdoor breaks, feeding times, and bedtime to keep their environment feeling familiar and stress-free. Appetite & Engagement Solutions: If a dog is feeling anxious or hesitant to eat in a new routine, I use low-impact playtime, light exercise, or gentle mental stimulation to help them settle in, relax, and get their digestive system moving naturally. Home Security & Respect: I treat your home with total respect—keeping doors securely locked, maintaining a clean space, and following all specific instructions regarding gated areas, crate routines, or security systems. Constant Communication & Updates: You will receive regular photo updates, routine check-ins, and immediate communication so you always have total peace of mind while you're away. (Note: I currently do not offer boarding services inside my own home, focusing 100% of my attention on on-site house sitting, drop-in visits, and walking.)

PJ is the BEST!!! He's super reliable, always on time, sends the best pictures, gives Chewbacca lots of love and attention and communicates just the right amount. No wonder Chewy loves him. Maybe a little too much?!? Makes me a little jealous actually. But what's better than knowing your dog loves seeing his "second best friend!" I know he's in great and caring hands with PJ!

About: Hi! I’m Deija, and caring for animals is truly my passion. I’ve worked with all kinds of pets—small mammals like hamsters and ferrets, big mammals like dogs and cats, and reptiles ranging from tiny geckos to large snakes and lizards. I’m a very kind, patient, and gentle person, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. No matter their size, personality, or needs, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m reliable, responsible, and always happy to send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and in good hands. I’d love the chance to care for your companion! I am an online schooler so I can watch your pet every minute that I need too .I also don’t work and only focus on school so your pet will have my undivided attention just like school does for me ! I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine love. Whether in my home or my client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment so your pet feels secure and cared for. I follow your routine exactly—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions—because consistency matters. I spend plenty of one-on-one time giving attention, enrichment, and comfort, and I’m always gentle and respectful of each pet’s personality and boundaries.

About: As a new puppy owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. My husband and I adopted our puppy from Puerto Rico about four months ago, and we’ve loved every minute of caring for him as he grows. I’ve also been around dogs my entire life. My husband’s 12-year-old Labrador Retriever has been part of the family for years, and I’ve helped care for him as well. On top of that, I’ve spent plenty of time looking after my best friend’s sweet Cavapoo over the years. Whether your dog loves to play, cuddle, or just needs a calm and caring companion, I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I’d want for my own pup. As a teacher, I have my summers off, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to provide attentive, loving care for your dog throughout the day. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with company, I’ll be there to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m also planning to continue offering pet care during the school year. As a teacher, my workday ends early, so I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be home much sooner than many traditional 9-to-5 jobs. I know how important it is to have someone reliable caring for your dog while you’re at work, and I’d love to be that trusted person for you and your pup. Your dog’s comfort and safety would always be my top priority. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment with a dedicated dog play area on the roof where pups can safely run around and play. We also love spending time outdoors, whether it’s going on neighborhood walks, exploring local parks, or visiting dog parks during the summer. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, loved, and right at home while they’re in my care.

Mocha can be anxious around new people and situations, but Jill was patient with her and quickly earned her trust. She always followed our instructions, kept us updated, and went above and beyond by giving attention to our two cats as well, which we really appreciated. • 87% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
