“Lori was absolutely great with my 3 cats. It was my first time using Rover and Lori was great with communicating and keeping me up to date so all my nerves went away.”

About: For many years I’ve looked after my family’s pets, I’ve had 3 dogs and 3 cats whom lived long and pampered lives. Neighborhood pet sitting and extended family’s trips, I was always there to look after their fur babies. I’m a full time college student with a flexible schedule looking to take care of any and all of your pets needs. Whether you want a sitter for a day or a few weeks, I can accommodate. Weekends or weekdays I can make myself available within a reasonable time slot for the occasion. Whether pets need to be crated before bed or their meals need special attention I’ll make it happen. Any specifications my client deems necessary for their furry friends is on my agenda.
“Caroline was so great with Harley! She always gave multiple updates with constant communication and assisted with anything Harley needed while she was there. I would definitely recommend Caroline!”

About: I’ve had welcomed my first pet ever when I was 10 years old , then in 2012 I’ve have welcome another fur baby to the family . Being around my own personal pets made me love doing dog sitting a lot more so starting in 2013 I’ve decided to volunteer and also become employed with the services of onboarding , dog walking , etc . I love doing my job when it comes to pets because I think of them as my own. I am currently working Monday - Friday but my schedule is also very flexible. I am free on the weekends if services are needed as well. When caring for your pets in your home or my home they are well taken care of between any medications, a routine that they follow I will make sure that while your away they will be left in great hands .
About: I've helped take care of my partners two dogs, one young and one senior dog. I absolutely love caring and playing with them whenever I am around. I am currently self-employed so I am able to flex my schedule. I am a mental health therapist so I will need a couple of days to make sure my schedule is appropriate for your pet care. In my own home, my cats are on a feeding schedule with medication. I spend lots of time petting and playing with them. I will be able to do the same in your own home. With dogs, I can take them for regular walks, play with them, and feed them accordingly. I of course, will adhere to whatever your schedule/routine for your pet is and what they are used to to make them as comfortable and happy as possible.
About: I’ve been passionately caring for dogs since I was 13 years old. Over the years, I’ve fostered and adopted multiple dogs, specializing in communication-based training, housebreaking, and custom communication techniques. I’ve successfully trained dogs to express their needs clearly—whether signaling to go outside, asking for water, or communicating when it's mealtime! Currently, I balance my college studies with working professionally as a dog handler. Because of my professional background in canine behavior and training, I understand how dogs think, learn, and communicate. Whether your dog needs structured exercise, high-energy playtime, or just a calm, confident handler while you're away, they will be in expert hands. Current Fall Schedule (August – December) I balance professional training and college courses, which keeps my routine structured and consistent. I am available for bookings on specific days each week: Morning Shift Days (Work 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM): Fully available for afternoon walks, drop-ins, evening visits, and overnight house sitting starting after 2:30 PM. Evening Shift Days (Work 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM): Available for early morning walks, breakfast drop-ins, and mid-day visits up until 1:00 PM. Overnight House Sitting: Available regularly! As long as your dog can be left comfortably during my work/class hours, I provide full overnight care, evening exercise, and morning routines. Winter & Spring Availability (Starting January) Beginning in December, my college semester ends and my availability expands significantly. I will have full, open availability alongside my standard work shifts for drop-ins, walks, and boarding/sitting. When staying at or visiting a client's home, safety, clear communication, and keeping your dog happy and comfortable are my top priorities: Potty Breaks & Routine Maintenance: I stick strictly to your pet's established routine for outdoor breaks, feeding times, and bedtime to keep their environment feeling familiar and stress-free. Appetite & Engagement Solutions: If a dog is feeling anxious or hesitant to eat in a new routine, I use low-impact playtime, light exercise, or gentle mental stimulation to help them settle in, relax, and get their digestive system moving naturally. Home Security & Respect: I treat your home with total respect—keeping doors securely locked, maintaining a clean space, and following all specific instructions regarding gated areas, crate routines, or security systems. Constant Communication & Updates: You will receive regular photo updates, routine check-ins, and immediate communication so you always have total peace of mind while you're away. (Note: I currently do not offer boarding services inside my own home, focusing 100% of my attention on on-site house sitting, drop-in visits, and walking.)
“Jorge sent pictures with every update and was extremely communicative throughout the whole process which helped me feel at ease. I would absolutely book him again :)”

About: I have taken care of Senior dogs, high energy dogs, oral medicine administration, training experience and have done Puppy care. Practice leash walking if I see it's needed. I'm currently volunteering part time at the Animal Shelter and walk dogs part time. My schedule is pretty flexible and can help out whenever needed. I provide a warm, loving, calm and peaceful environment in my home. There are no pets living in my home which is helpful for pets whenever they come in my home. Creates a comfortable and stress-free atmosphere for them.

“Kathryn was wonderful with my kittens while I was away on vacation! She was so friendly, reliable, and easy to communicate with from the very beginning, which immediately made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care. I especially appreciated how much time she spent with them during each visit. She didn’t just come by to feed them and leave—she actually spent time playing with them, giving them attention, and making sure they were taken care of. It made being away from them so much easier knowing they were getting plenty of love and weren't just being left alone. Kathryn sent me lots of adorable pictures, which I looked forward to getting every day! She followed all of the instructions I left and was very attentive to everything the kittens needed. It was clear from the way she interacted with them that she truly loves animals and cares about the pets she watches. I would absolutely have Kathryn watch my kittens again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter. Knowing that they were with someone who was giving them genuine attention and affection gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I’m so happy we found her!”

“Noelle was so great with my cat, she was great at communicating even while I was in a diffeeent country, and she gave a picture with every visit, keeping me updated on how they got along.”

“Ruth has been a trusted carer for my pet rabbit Brownie! We felt at ease when traveling and knowing Ruth will take good care of her. She is very communicative, attention to detail, and always goes the extra mile to make sure Brownie is comfortable and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter!”

“Ana did a great job taking care of our kitties, even though they are super shy and hid most of the time. She went above and beyond looking for them and making sure they were safe! Absolutely will ask for her help again in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pelham
Kathryn was absolutely wonderful with our babies! 🥹 She took such great care of Amino, making sure he was checked on and had his walks, and she also checked in on Ms. Kitty while we were away. She was incredibly responsive and kept us updated with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Most importantly, our babies absolutely love her, and it was clear they felt comfortable and happy with her. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with them and would absolutely recommend Kathryn to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and caring sitter! ❤️

Karen, We appreciate everything that you do so that we can enjoy traveling knowing that Renzo is in good hands. Sorry about the smoke alarms. All the batteries died at the same time! We are also going away the last week of September. Will send you request ASAP. Thanks, Julia

This was our first time using Rover, and Ana made it an excellent experience! She took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away for a week, making sure they were well-fed, comfortable, and happy. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats and would absolutely book with Ana again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!
We had a great experience with [Name] caring for our cats. She took the time to play with our very antsy cat and gave our shy, scaredy cat the space she needed, exactly as we requested. It was clear that she paid attention to each cat’s personality and needs. She was also very thoughtful about the little details, including rinsing out their food bowls so there were no lingering smells and making sure their medication was given with their food. We appreciated how attentive and caring she was while looking after our cats. We would definitely feel comfortable having her care for them again!

Julia was a great cat sitter for my cat, Nutmeg! I was away 11 days and Julia sent me photos and a daily update on Nutmeg’s visits. I arrived home with a very calm, relaxed & happy cat (never left her that long before)! I highly recommend Julia and Will book her again if I need to!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
