Hi! I moved to NY six years ago from Japan with my two beloved rescue cats. Previously, I honed my skills as both a Kindergarten teacher and a dedicated pet sitter in Tokyo, where I was fortunate to build a loyal clientele and gain invaluable experience. In El Salvador, I had the honor of assisting at various animal shelters. My tasks ranged from bathing dogs to providing temporary housing for all kinds of animals in need. My passion for animals extends beyond just cats and dogs; I love all creatures, from birds to lizards, and am fascinated by the unique and complex personalities each one brings. If you’re seeking someone who will care for and appreciate your pet as the unique individual they are, I’m your human! I enjoy being physically active, which is ideal for high-energy dogs needing to burn off some of that extra zest, but I won’t complain if all they want to do is cuddle on the couch all-day At the moment, my schedule is quite flexible and I’m available on most days. I would kindly ask that bookings be made at least one week in advance to allow for a proper meet and greet. Thank you for considering me as your trusted pet sitter. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved companions soon! Additional Info.: * I have my own insurance on top of Rover's * Overnight stays are not the same as constant care. If your pet cannot be left alone for more than 2 hours you might want to opt for this. * I also offer 60-min drop-ins. The default ones are 30 minutes.

At my clients' homes, I make sure to stick to their pets' regular schedules for feeding, walks, and playtime. I pay close attention to their needs and preferences, making sure they feel secure and happy in their familiar surroundings. My goal is to provide the best care and ensure they feel at ease while their family is away.

Michelle took great care of my 3 cats for 2 weeks… I know they are a handful, but, she gave each one of them special care and individual attention during her visits…. I know they enjoyed their playtime and brushing time, or even just ‘sit quietly and fall asleep’ time… Everything was kept neat and clean, and meds were provided routinely… and Michelle is also the best at keeping me fully informed with texts and photos…
First time using Michelle to take care of my 14yo female calico kitty, who has a hypothyroid condition and needs daily medication… Michelle was neat, sweet, and extremely in tune with my cat’s needs and moods… Her daily updates were very informative and entertaining, and they allowed me to relax and enjoy the few days that I was away…
Amazingly good and natural with my super shy kitties, who usually run and hide from new people. They both approached Michelle and one of them even fell in love with her, letting Michelle pet her and play games with her. Outstanding.

Schedule
Pet care is a big part of my daily and weekly routine. I make sure to spend quality time with the pets I look after, whether it’s dropping by for a quick visit, staying overnight, or just making sure they get their medication on time. My schedule revolves around their needs, so I’m always ready to help with a vet visit or just some extra cuddles. It’s not just a job for me – it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day.
