“Valentina was right on time as promised, and she kindly helped out with all requests I had. She also updated me throughout Louie’s walk. I would trust her for more walks in the future!”

“Cristin is amazing! She is so reliable and easy to communicate with! We have a 3-year-old pitbull mix who can take a little while to warm up to new people. Cristin has been so patient with her and has been absolutely incredible with our girl's quirks. It gives us such peace of mind to know that our dog is in great hands when we're away or at work. I highly recommend Cristin to anyone looking for pet care!”

“Hannah is great! She is super reliable and very thorough with information about the walk. Our dog is always very excited to see her and goes with her happily when she comes to the house. We feel very fortunate to have found Hannah to walk our guy! I highly recommend her.”

About: I’m attentive to their body language, personality, energy level, and individual routine rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I take safety and communication seriously. I raised three puppies over 10 years and had a senior dog too. Not intimidated by size. I have 10 years of experience caring for dogs -including my own- and genuinely enjoy making time for them. My schedule gives me flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and sitting. I’m happy to work with each pet’s individual routine, whether they need lots of exercise, helicopter supervision, or just company. Safety and comfort always come first. I understand that every dog has a different personality, routine, and preferences. I follow your instructions carefully, keep a close eye on your pet, and make sure they receive plenty of attention and affection. I do not take lightly being entrusted to care for your family. I’m also happy to maintain their normal feeding, medication, potty, and sleeping routines so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away and give you peace of mind.
“Amandine took great care of our little Shih Tzu boy! We were having an unusually late night in the city for New Year’s Eve, and Badger is happiest at home so I didn’t want to board him somewhere overnight if I didn’t have to. Amandine was able to come twice that evening for his dinner and a couple outings. He got up to all his usual silliness on her visits, and was happy as a clam when we got home. Badger was comfortable with her right away and my husband and I were able to enjoy our Brooklyn NYE (Robyn at The Paramount, which was worth the very late night!) knowing he was taken care of and would be waiting for us when we got home. Amandine is very friendly and professional, and more than qualified to be a wonderful petsitter. We highly recommend her services!”

About: I have been an animal lover all my life! Growing up, I always had cats, and as a young adult, I got my first dog. My love for animals eventually led me to work in a veterinary office, and from there I began providing cat care and pet sitting. I care for small to medium-sized dogs in my home, as well as offering home visits, feeding, and walks. I have a small dog of my own, Indi, who is very loving, friendly, and enjoys the company of other dogs. We would love to welcome your dog into our home and give them the VIP pup treatment they deserve! They’ll receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, and cuddles while you’re away. It could be a match made in playful heaven! 🐶🐾 I work remotely from home, allowing me to provide your pup with personalized care, plenty of love and attention, regular walks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I’ll follow their routine and individual needs to help them feel happy, comfortable, and right at home. 🥰 Your dog will always be supervised and will have a friendly playmate in Indi! Meals are given separately, and I’m happy to follow any specific feeding instructions or dietary needs. There’s plenty of space for your pup’s bed, crate, & favorite toys. At night, I’ll follow their usual routine—whether they sleep in their bed or crate-trained. My home is dog-proofed & set up to be a safe, comfortable, and fun environment.

We know that not only will she get a break outside from a day alone, but that she will have a chance to connect with a friend when we ask Shae to come walk her. Thank you!”

About: I understand that every dog (and cat) is different and I'd love to develop a relationship to keep your pet comfortable and active! I would update regularly, personalize the care I'm giving, and offer different exercises based on activity levels! I have an extremely flexible schedule and would enjoy working with any pet! I would like to add that I'm almost always free in the morning, but my afternoon schedule varies. I'm always near my phone and respond quickly; I also have my own car, so all I need is information on who it is I'm going to see and where! I would make sure to follow instructions on how to best care for your pet; you know them best. I would respect your environment and treat it like it's my own.
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I naturally connect with them. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Your dog’s happiness and well-being always come first! I’m a second-semester senior at the University of Colorado Boulder, and I have a flexible schedule that works well with pet care. I don’t have classes on Wednesdays or Fridays, making me fully available those days. I’m also available on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as weekday evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I’m reliable, organized, and happy to adjust to your pet’s routine whenever possible. I care for pets by following their usual routines and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in both my home and my client’s home. I always take time to understand each pet’s needs, including feeding schedules, walking preferences, and any special instructions. Wendy was wonderful. She connected with Oliver right away. My dog is usually afraid of people but he warmed up quite quickly to Wendy. She was prompt with her responses and was punctual with walking times. I would definitely have her help us out again in the future. Thank you so much Wendy!

Skye was extremely helpful in taking care of my dog. I reached out to her for a last minute booking. She was very accommodating from the start and incredibly prompt with her response time. Handled my quirky pup so well, gave him his morning medication and was always on time for his walks. I even had a flight cancellation and she was able to help mouth with another possible last minute booking as well. I highly recommend her to take care of your pet!

Stacie has been walking our nervous boxer for several weeks now, and she’s been great! Our pup has a history of anxiety, especially around cars, and she gently works with him to be comfortable walking further distances. She is super communicative and gives such sweet and detailed reports of how he’s doing. We’re grateful to have her working with our boy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
