Although my academic background is in oceanography🌊, I have had a deep love for dogs and cats since I was a child💕. I raised two beautiful Samoyeds in my hometown. Since moving away, I have spent time connecting with other pet owners and have even become best friends with a mini goldendoodle owner🦮. I excel in caring for puppies under one year old. Currently, my neighbor has a young Samoyed girl whom I've been helping look after since she was three months old. Whenever her owner is busy, I accompany her, play with her, and take her for walks and hikes. With my diverse experience and genuine affection for animals, I am confident that I can offer the loving care and attention your pets deserve.

We had an excellent experience with Yachen and her husband. We needed someone last minute to pop in, feed, walk and hang out with our dog while we were at a wedding. They made themselves available and even came beforehand for a quick meet and greet. Rico is a little protective when someone new first walks in and they were very patient with him. He loved his walk and they sent lots of pictures. Thank you so much Yachen!
Yachen was great caring for our cat while we were away on vacation. She was very thorough and followed instructions to the letter and added some extra pets and scratches for our fur baby. All the photos and detailed descriptions let us know everything was normal at home and nothing to worry about.
Yachen and her husband are such a caring and considerate couple - they could tell we missed our pup a lot, so would send daily updates as well as multiple photos and videos to reassure us that he was A-OK. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing he was safe receiving attentive care. We will definitely be back!
Yachen and her partner were such a big help walking our dog Rio weekly. They were very communicative, attentive and took tons of pictures. Rio was always excited to see them.

Yachen and her partner were amazing. She took such loving care of our senior dog, Luna, the last few weeks of her life. She was very understanding with Luna’s needs, while also making sure Rio was attended to as well.

As a marine science researcher transitioning to working from home starting in May, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that your pet receives ample attention and companionship. With a flexible work schedule, I can dedicate significant time to looking after your pet, engaging in activities such as walks, playtime, and socialization. I am also fortunate to have a close-knit group of friends who own various breeds of dogs, including goldendoodles, Samoyeds, and cavapoos. We gather on a weekly basis, providing an excellent opportunity for your pet to become part of a friendly dog community. These social interactions contribute to your pet's overall well-being and happiness, as they can develop and maintain essential social skills with other dogs. In addition to these weekly gatherings, I will tailor my daily routine to accommodate your pet's individual needs, such as feeding times, exercise, and any specific care requirements. My goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for your pet while they are under my care. With my adaptable schedule and passion for animals, I am confident that I can provide the best possible care for your pet as part of my daily and weekly routine.

In my own home, I reside in a comfortable and pet-friendly apartment with my boyfriend. We have taken the necessary measures to ensure that our living space is safe and secure for pets, with no hazardous materials or objects within their reach. Our spacious Jeep is also suitable for transporting most pets, making it convenient for trips to the park, vet, or other locations. When providing care in a client's home, I maintain the same high standards of safety and cleanliness. I diligently follow any specific instructions or guidelines provided by the pet owner to ensure the utmost comfort and well-being of their pets. Trust is of utmost importance to me, so I always strive to be transparent and communicative with my clients, keeping them updated on their pets' activities and well-being. In both situations, I focus on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for the pets under my care. This includes providing physical exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction to keep them happy, healthy, and well-adjusted. Rest assured, your pets' safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities as a professional pet caretaker.
A typical day
Every pet has their own personality, so I always tailor the day to their needs and routine. For dogs, we’ll enjoy walks, playtime, sniffing adventures, and plenty of affection. For cats, I’ll spend quality time playing, brushing (if they enjoy it), or simply keeping them company. I’ll also make sure fresh water is always available, meals are on schedule, and I’ll send you plenty of photos and updates so you can relax while you’re away.
