“Moose and Alaska got long well while we were out of town and Moose came home happy and tired. That spent lots of time playing in the yard. Thank you, Natalia, for being available over thanksgiving and taking care of Moose!”

“Awesome experience for my first time using Rover. Needed an extended care of my dog while away for almost 2 weeks and Jorge stepped up when needed most. Pictures and communication kept me calm while away, I was extremely pleased. Will book again when needed!”

“It was very easy to communicate with Christine. Our dog stayed with other family only once before so we were a little worried it might to much stress for her. Christine was open to meeting us and our dog in advance. Our dog Bella definitely was in good hands. She played a lot with other dogs and had a good time. Getting pictures of her was very nice!”

“Charmaine took a very good care of Teddy. She sent photos of him every day and shared what he was doing. Teddy looked happy and well cared for. I'd use Charmaine again. Thank you”

“We are so blessed that we found Blanca to take care of our little doggy. She is wonderful with our Jack Russell Chihuahua mix. She knows just how to take care of him and make him happy. He took them on lots of adventures, gave them plenty of opportunity to play outside in the yard, and kept us updated with pictures, etc. Also, he was so kind and flexible when our flight back home got delayed! About: With 5 years of hands on experience working with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, I’m dedicated to helping dogs become confident, well mannered companions. I also hold a degree in K9 Training and Management from SUNY Cobleskill giving me both the practical experience and professional education to provide structured, effective, and personalized care. Pet care is a part of my everyday life. Outside of work, I continue to dedicate my time to dog training and boarding. I am completely available Friday and Saturday and am available every other day after 6pm! Because I have a supportive family that helps with my boarding program, each dog is consistently taken outside for potty breaks, exercise, and fresh air throughout the day. Dogs staying in my home have access to a fully fenced backyard where they can safely go out for potty breaks, exercise, and supervised play. Inside, I have a finished basement that provides a clean, comfortable, and climate-controlled space for dogs to relax, train, and rest. Every dog follows a structured routine that includes regular outdoor breaks, feeding according to the owner’s schedule, enrichment, and plenty of individual attention. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where every dog feels at home.

“Saiad was a trustworthy and reliable sitter during Max's stay. Max can be an insecure dog, but Saiad made sure he felt comfortable and well cared for throughout his visit. He followed all of our instructions, accommodated a meet-and-greet beforehand, and made sure Max had a great time playing fetch and enjoying his stay. Would love to book with him again!”

“Every time we book with Kimberly we known our dog Duke is in great hands! She is loving, caring, and makes sure everything is well with him and sends updates. Don’t hesitate and book now!”

“Nina and Augustine cared for our beloved pup as if she was their own. She’s usually very sensitive and high maintenance so we were anxious to leave her, but within hours were receiving photos of her happily curled up on Nina’s lap! Also very accommodating of our schedule, and were kindly able to adjust to a last minute request to shift dates with no issue. So great!”

“Dana provided the perfect care and environment for our dog Birdie - she felt at home right away and had the best time hanging out with Dana and running around outside with her dog Healo. She kept us in the loop with Birdie's activities with photos and videos which kept us at ease. Birdie made some new friends, and we made some new friends in the process as well. I highly recommend Dana and will most definitely be using her again in the future. Thanks again Dana!”
“Judy was great with my dog! She asks all the right questions before you arrive, sends plenty of updates and pictures, and really gives you the sense that your dog is in good hands. I highly recommend her!”

“Lu was amazing! She sent frequent photos and updates while she cared for our pup, and took care of Eloise as if she was her own. We could not have asked for a better experience with Lu. I think we just found our preferred dogsitter!”

Yachen and her husband are such a caring and considerate couple - they could tell we missed our pup a lot, so would send daily updates as well as multiple photos and videos to reassure us that he was A-OK. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing he was safe receiving attentive care. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience with Diane! From the moment we dropped off our two senior dogs (ages 12 and 14), we knew they were in caring and capable hands. Diane sent regular updates throughout the day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from every photo and message that our dogs were comfortable, relaxed, and truly felt at home. One of the sweetest surprises was how wonderful Diane’s two boys were with our dogs. They clearly enjoyed spending time together, and it was heartwarming to see them playing such a positive role in our dogs’ care. Diane’s home is incredibly welcoming and comfortable for dogs, and everything she says in her profile about caring for senior dogs is absolutely true. She understands their unique needs and gave them the patience, attention, and love they deserve. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with Diane again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter!

Rafaelina is a true dog lover and was absolutely incredible to our dog Wally! Wally is typically an anxious pup, and we went to Rafaelina’s house before a 2 night stay for a meet and greet and she immediately made Wally feel at home. Her house is set up perfectly for dogs with a great outdoor space, and Wally did really well there. We received regular updates, and she was incredibly responsive.

Deanna took care of our cat during a holiday vacation. It was his first time staying with her and I could tell by the first initial photos that he felt safe and adjusted well in her space. She was very responsive in messages, warm, and did a wonderful job taking care of our fur baby. I appreciated her sending photos each day, which helped us feel at ease that our cat was doing just fine. She's attentive and caring and I was glad that our cat had a good place to stay while we were gone. She is fantastic!

Alex and his partner took excellent care of Sherlock while I boarded him with them. They went above and beyond, grooming him and pampering him with dog pawties alongside the other babies (dogs). Sherlock thoroughly enjoyed his time with them. I’d highly recommend Alex for boarding or grooming — he’s someone you can truly trust with your pets.

We’re so grateful to Karolina for taking in our dog Eleanor on such short notice! She was kind from the start, and Eleanor clearly felt right at home. She even sent updates during her stay. It was such a relief knowing she was in caring hands. We could tell she had a great time.

Lu was fantastic with Luna! She took such great care of her and sent us photos every morning, afternoon, and evening. She noticed and let us know about little changes in her behavior. Her apartment has direct access to a private lawn, which makes it a perfect set up for a senior dog. We will be back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
