Bo came back from his walk with Shawn happy and exhausted! I appreciated Shawn’s detailed notes about his time with Bo and that he took the time to do Bo’s favorite things with him- play fetch and take a stroll.

We had a great experience with Consuelo during our 3 day vacation! She arrived at 6:30am on the dot each morning, our agreed upon time. She took our dog Buster for a 30 minute walk, and took photos along the way. Buster barks and pulls a lot, and she handled him very well! She gave a detailed report of the walk each day. After only 3 days, I have a great deal of confidence in Consuelo's reliability and her interaction with Buster. We will definitely ask her to help us again!

Amandine took great care of our little Shih Tzu boy! We were having an unusually late night in the city for New Year’s Eve, and Badger is happiest at home so I didn’t want to board him somewhere overnight if I didn’t have to. Amandine was able to come twice that evening for his dinner and a couple outings. He got up to all his usual silliness on her visits, and was happy as a clam when we got home. Badger was comfortable with her right away and my husband and I were able to enjoy our Brooklyn NYE (Robyn at The Paramount, which was worth the very late night!) knowing he was taken care of and would be waiting for us when we got home. Amandine is very friendly and professional, and more than qualified to be a wonderful petsitter. We highly recommend her services!

About: With over 14 years of full-time experience caring for animals, pet care is more than just my profession it is a lifelong passion. While the majority of my experience has been with dogs, I have also gained extensive experience caring for cats and birds in their homes. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant with hands on veterinary experience and a strong understanding of animal health and wellness. I am comfortable administering oral, topical, and injectable medications, monitoring pets during recovery, and providing post-surgical care when needed. I am also very familiar with the veterinary clinics in the area and have experience transporting pets to appointments, assisting with checkups, and helping owners follow veterinary recommendations. What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I provide. I build close, trusting relationships with the pets I care for and take the time to learn their individual personalities, routines, dietary needs, and preferences. I have a strong interest in animal nutrition and understand the importance of maintaining consistency in a pet’s daily routine to support their overall well being. In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I have several years of grooming experience. My building includes a dedicated pet grooming facility, allowing me to conveniently offer grooming services while pets are in my care. I am a dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate caregiver with many long-term client relationships national and international. References from local families are available upon request, and I take great pride in the trust that both pets and their owners place in me. I would be happy to assist with all of your pet care needs, including pet sitting, dog walking, medication administration, recovery care, transportation to veterinary appointments, grooming, and personalized daily care.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs many summers. Most of them were family and friend’s dogs. They seem to like me as much as I like them. I had two rabbits which I lost but taking care of your pets also make me happy. Whether it’s summer or winter I can take care of your dog. I have time before, during lunch and after work during week days. I live very close to my job and there is always someone at home. I have a medium sized back yard that we can play around and live really close to dog park. I also have transportation so that we can go anywhere.

About: Hi, I’m Pawel, owner of Pup Club. I’ve spent the last 10+ years working professionally with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. What started as a passion eventually became my full-time career, and today I have the privilege of spending every day doing what I love. My approach is simple: dogs thrive when they’re given structure, exercise, socialization, and the opportunity to be dogs. Whether we’re out on a nature hike, exploring new trails, or relaxing at home after a day of adventure, my goal is to provide a safe, enriching experience that leaves dogs fulfilled and excited for their next visit. Unlike traditional kennels, boarding dogs stay in my home as part of the family. Every dog receives individualized attention, plenty of exercise, and a comfortable home environment. I also offer group nature hikes and outdoor adventures for social dogs who enjoy being active. These outings provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation while allowing dogs to safely interact with a well-matched group. For your convenience, pickup and drop-off are available throughout the area. If you’re looking for someone who treats dog care as more than just a side job, I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your dog. Pup Club is my full-time profession, not a side project or occasional hobby. Because caring for dogs is what I do every day, my schedule is built around them. From daily hikes and adventures to boarding and transportation, the dogs in my care are the focus of my day, not something squeezed in before or after another job. This allows me to provide a level of consistency, supervision, and attention that many part-time sitters simply can’t offer. Whether your dog is joining us for a hike, a day of fun, or an extended stay, they’re cared for by someone whose entire livelihood revolves around their safety, well-being, and enjoyment. We’ve built our home and schedule around creating a safe, fun, and dependable environment for every pup we host. This isn’t a hobby or side gig. It’s our passion, our business, and what we’re proud to do full time. Safety and trust are at the core of everything we do. Dogs in our care are always supervised, socialized in compatible groups, and treated like part of our family. Our home is secure, clean, and designed for comfort. We keep crates open and available for dogs who enjoy having their own quiet space to relax, but we never force crate use. Every dog experiences a calm, balanced environment where they can play, rest, and feel at home.

Love to go running , hiking & exploring new areas with my boy rico. Super friendly and playful. If you tell me in advance I can switch my schedule around to help you out ( my job is pretty flexible) Got a pretty big place , I just let them be dogs and hang out . I don’t mind them being on furniture but if you don’t want me to make it a habit with yours I wont . I do go out every morning to the park and I dedicate about an hour of just running around in the field or dog park but at night we’ll do a nice long walk. Again if you have a different schedule or instructions I can deff accommodate. When in YOUR home I will follow all info provided

Tara has been walking our dogs since November 2023, and she’s been incredible from day one. This week was no different — she came twice at lunch, right on time, and took great care of our pups. She always sends updates and photos, which we love, and we can tell the dogs are so happy to see her. We’re so lucky to have her, and we can’t recommend her enough. 5 stars every time!

About: I’m an experienced dog owner with two dogs—a Cocker Spaniel and a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix. I’m the sole caregiver and handle all pet care myself. I’m used to daily routines like feeding, walks, and playtime, and I understand different dog personalities, from energetic to shy. I make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and treated like part of the family. I’m available for pet care most days and can be flexible with timing. On Wednesdays, I’m unavailable from 12–6 PM, but I’m free before and after that window. I’m available to walk dogs daily, and my weekend availability depends on the specific times needed, but I’m generally flexible. I’m happy to work with your schedule to find times that fit both of us. I care for pets by keeping a consistent and attentive routine. At home, I walk my dogs every morning for 30 minutes to an hour, usually around my neighborhood near a local high school. I let them out around midday, walk them again in the early evening, and give them another bathroom break at night. I feed them twice a day and make sure they get a treat before bed. When caring for a client’s pet, I follow their routine closely, ensure pets are always supervised, use secure leashes during walks, and prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.

Kerry is a gem!! My senior dog needs lots of TLC and patience (he's lost most of his vision and hearing, has trouble with stairs and occasionally gets confused), so I was nervous about bringing in someone to walk him. Kerry immediately put my fears to rest -- asked all the right questions, was wonderful with my dog, and communicated well and often during the visit. I won't hesitate to have him visit again and am relieved I found him.

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
