“Kamryn took great care of our girl Kumo for the weekend! Great communication throughout, sent plenty of updates / photos, and left our place spotless despite Kumo’s best efforts. Hope to have her back next time!”

“Amazing person. Gentle, kind and caring with my pup. House sat and was respectful with my home, and left everything immaculate (not easy with a puppy who is still house training!). Great communication and sent lots of pic too!”

“Domenica stayed with my dog Kosmos for three nights. I can only recommend her services. She was very responsive, sent me updates, and took great care of him. Kosmos often gets anxious when I’m traveling, which I can see based on how he acts while I’m away and right after I’m back. But this time he was completely relaxed and happy, which is entirely Domenica’s accomplishment.”

About: I have hands on experience caring for dogs and understand the responsibility that comes with taking care of someone’s beloved pet. I’m experienced with following their regular feeding routines, providing fresh water, taking dogs on walks, giving them bathroom breaks, playing with them, and making sure they have a safe and comfortable environment. I’ve cared for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, and I take the time to learn their individual routines and needs. I’m also attentive to their behavior and make sure they receive plenty of exercise, companionship, affection, and supervision throughout the day. I take pride in being dependable and treating every dog in my care with patience, respect, and the same level of love and attention I would want someone to give my own pets. I’m available for boarding on weekends and on weekdays after 5 PM. If that works with your schedule, I’d be happy to care for your furry family members and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I have a fully fenced backyard with plenty of space for your pet to play, relax, and enjoy some fresh air. I also live near a local park, making it easy to take your furry friend on enjoyable walks and give them the exercise and attention they deserve. I want every pet in my care to feel comfortable, happy, and right at home.

Your pets’ happiness and safety are always my top priorities
About: IMPORTANT NOTES: I screen all pets prior to care to ensure they are in good health and are up to date with their vaccines. Please note that Rover charges sitters a 20% fee to use the platform and my price reflects this. However, they charge owners an additional 11% fee that is calculated when you check out and is not included in my pricing. I run a small business from my home, which means I am able to give all my dog guests ample attention and time. It also allows me more flexibility to serve my customers’ schedules and any emergencies that come up. I live in a semi-suburban area of the Bronx in the first floor of a house with a small yard and a well-secured fenced. It is perfect for the dogs to play in, sniff about or even sunbathe. For safety’s sake, I monitor the dogs anytime they are in the yard. There is an external gate leading to the front door of my house, which I keep shut to prevent any dogs from running out unexpectedly. Finally, out an abundance of caution, I affix Apple airtags to the collars of all my guest dogs. In addition to two extra large crates, my home has The apartment is full of dog beds, including two “dens” in my closets. I also have multiple rooms and dog gates, which allows me to separate dogs if necessary. I ALWAYS feed dogs separately for safety. Pets are allowed on the couch but not on my bed. My shower is equipped for bathing dogs. I have two dog first aid kits (one in the house and a second in the car) and am familiar with dog first aid and CPR. I have extra pet seatbelts, harnesses if transportation is required, as well as extra collars and leashes for walks.

About: I love dogs and watching their owners be happy with all the new commands I teach them but I’m a dog lover and this always been my passion I have a lot of spare time on my hands and I will like to make extra money on the side so me and my kids can have a steady income I walk my dogs four times a day my kids love playing with my dog I take them to the parks beach and long walks
“Tenielle stayed with Coco while we attended a family wedding in California a few weekends ago. Coco was completely relaxed and happy on return. Tenielle came to meet our pup beforehand and clicked immediately with her. I very much appreciated the daily photos and videos. I highly recommend Tenielle!”

About: He’ll there! My name is Jessica— an active, dependable pet caregiver currently working toward my credentials because your animals deserve someone who takes this seriously. I’m available middays, evenings, and weekends, and I happily offer home stays for pets who do best in a cozy, familiar environment. I’m based in the Co-Op city and love prioritizing neighborhood clients — there’s something special about being the trusted sitter on your block. I also serve the Southeast Bronx along the 5 and 6 train corridors, making me accessible to a wide range of families across the area. For home visits and trial walks, due to cancellations I need to charge a flat rate of 20$ . I’m strong and experienced handling larger dogs, and I welcome medically complex care — whether that means administering medication, managing special diets, or keeping a close eye on a senior or post-op pup. My community roots run deep, and that means you’ll always get honest communication, photo updates, and a sitter who truly cares. 🌻 Is important to me that a space is kept clean, and habits are the overtime to maintain a space and animal health. Forgetting to do a litter box, one day happens, but forgetting to do it constantly can lead to your pet killing a fungal infection, and having a lot of pain in the limbs they walk on. I like to take a systems thinking approach, and things like a few times a week and cleaning your space everyday and securing unsafe spaces is super important . I work in retail and the service industry so I would love to transition out of that soon as hour can be short or sparse this time of year and build my photography business. Taking care of pets and having pet models for my portfolio would be great as well as the time to be active and have fun as I focus on building these foundational skills. I’ve already done the hectic schedule of chasing shifts downtown for the last 2 years so if I could have slower days and have clients closer to me that would be great. To me a very successful play session involves observing the pet where they are,and how they interact because I am a guest in their space firstly, and giving them attention and love is my first priority. I don’t care that I may start out at a Lower rate or XYNZ is out of my pay grade. I’m not leaving a fecal mess or putting my headphones on, and turning Netflix and putting my feet up during a session because I can . The TV will always be there but the emotions and potential reactive response of a pet that might start biting plants or getting into stuff they shouldn’t —can lead to a permanent result. I want the pets I care to stay interested or at least rest and feel comfortable in their space and know that some one is there to feed them and respond to their needs or at least be willing to figure out what they need and not dismiss them. I have been trained by another company called Big City Wolf on proper dog handling and plan to get my animal CPR training this March and apply to work at the new ACS center in Coop city .

“Our cat is diabetic, and needs two shots of insulin per day. Latasha did a wonderful job at giving him the shot, and spending time with him to make sure he got some play and people time in while we were away. He looked great when we got back, and we're so grateful we found Latasha! Maxwell says thank you for the wonderful care – so do we!”

Grace was an incredible find!! My dog loved her from the moment he met her! I was totally at ease leaving her with him for the weekend. She sent a ton of pictures and was in constant contact with me. My dog looked so happy with her taking care of him. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a caring sitter for your pet!!!!!

We had a wonderful experience with our sitter Banessa! She was very kind, reliable, and took great care of our cat, Tikhon. She stayed overnight every night as agreed and kept us updated with lovely photos and messages. It was clear from the photos that Tikhon was happy and comfortable with her, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated how responsible and caring she was and would definitely recommend her to other pet parents!

Rochelle was absolutely wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dogsitter. She came by before the sitting to meet us, get familiar with our pets, and learn her way around the house. Since we weren’t home, we arranged her arrival in advance, and everything worked perfectly. She was completely comfortable finding her way around the house and handled all of our pets with confidence and care. It was clear from the start that Rochelle is responsible, professional, and genuinely loves animals. She took excellent care of our pets, kept everything in order, and somehow even left the house looking nicer than when she arrived! We can highly recommend Rochelle. Her friendly nature, professionalism, reliability, and the wonderful care she gave our pets gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely have her sit for us again!

Natalie was wonderful! I left Piper with her for the day and couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was so kind, punctual, and incredibly helpful when I was in a last-minute bind. She responded quickly, even came to pick Piper up and drop her back off at my house, and kept me updated throughout the day with photos and videos. I felt completely comfortable knowing Piper was in such good hands. 10/10 would recommend Natalie, and I’ll definitely be keeping her in mind for future sittings!

We cannot say enough good things about Andrea. She is communicative; sending regular updates and photos while she dog sat. Our dog is on quite a few drops for her eyes and Andrea was great at managing her medications. She was respectful and incredibly neat while staying at our home. Andrea is such a wonderful dog sitter- would highly recommend her!

Juliet is THE BEST! This was the first time we had a sitter stay in our home since one of our doggies is now blind and we could not be happier with how Juliet took care of our girls. She communicated throughout the week and was so respectful of our home, she left it with basically no trace LOL I can't recommend her enough. We've been trusting her with our girls for a couple of years now and will continue to have her be our go-to sitter. Thank you Juliet!

Christian was great with our pup! He stayed with her for most of the time we we're gone and was really flexible with the arrangements. He came by a week prior to get to know our dog and understand her routines. Our dog immediately liked him and felt comfortable around him which was a great sign. While he was watching her, Christian walked her and kept her company. He provided periodic updates with photos and we felt comfortable knowing he was there with her. Thank you Christian!

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter while we were away. Maria was incredibly responsible and attentive, making sure our dog was well cared for and happy the entire time. We especially appreciated the daily photos and updates—she gave us real peace of mind. On top of that, we came home to a very well-kept house, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Melisa was an amazing dog and house sitter! Frankie loved her and felt comfortable with her immediately. She communicated consistently, letting me know when she walked Frankie, that he did his business, and that he ate. She even sent adorable photos of him cuddling with her, which gave me so much peace of mind. Melisa left my house absolutely impeccable, watered my plants, and brought in my packages as well. I’m so excited to have found such a caring and responsible person, and I will definitely be booking her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Eastchester on Rover is $53.28 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 19,141 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Eastchester. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eastchester walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eastchester maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eastchester choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eastchester. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
