I'm an enthusiastic pet sitter with experience caring for seniors and special-needs dogs! I grew up with dogs and volunteered at my local animal shelter when I was younger, primarily helping to socialize anxious and shy rescues. I have also cared for puppies, both before and during house-training. I have no pets of my own at the moment so I am happy to walk, bathe, look after, and of course play with your dogs and/or cats as needed! PS- Quinn, my Fiancée, is in graduate school out of state, so I’m (Ellie) Rovering-solo at the moment!

Ellie was absolutely amazing. It was my first time leaving my dogs, and as someone who struggles with anxiety, I was incredibly nervous. From the very beginning, Ellie not only took wonderful care of my dogs but also put my mind at ease. She kept me updated with constant messages and photos, and never once made me feel like I was asking too much. Her patience, kindness, and communication meant the world to me. Ellie was wonderful with our dog Ernie! She gave excellent photo and text updates throughout the stay, was very professional and respectful of our home, and Ernie seemed to have a great time with her. I would definitely recommend her for dog sitting.

Schedule
I am an early riser, so I love early morning walks! When I'm not working, I like long afternoon strolls. But when I'm caring for your dog, their schedule will be my schedule!

I live in a smoke-free, child-free apartment, with no other pets or animals. I keep the place tidy, all food, medicine, and other potential hazards properly stored. I know it's nerve-racking to leave your best friend in someone else's care, so I will send lots of updates, respond ASAP, and do everything I can to reassure you that your pet is in good hands.
A typical day
I love playing around outside and will make sure your dog gets lots of fresh air, in whatever way they like best! I'll take your dog on a "sniffy walk," letting them set the pace and route and letting them smell all the smells they want. I particularly love exploring my the city’s parks, so if your dog has a favorite green space, let me know— or I’ll just let them guide me there! While inside, I am a total pushover when it comes to belly rubs and ear scratches. I mostly work from home and always focus better with a dog or cat snoozing nearby, and when I can take breaks to take them out or just show them attention
