Alexandria can care for
Availability
Monday through Friday, I work from home. For walks & drop in visits, I like to go early in the morning before work. For afternoon visits, I prefer to stay close around Washington Heights. Since I work remotely, I can spend time with your pet all week for house sitting. On weekends, I have more flexibility.

Safety, trust & environment
Each pet has a different personality and I like to go at their pace. I care for pets how I would treat my own pet. I'm very familiar with getting to know a new animal considering I've fostered frequently. I've pet sat for family & friends. I can adjust my care to what your pet needs. Whenever I go into someone's home, I am respectful and clean. I have accepted home visits ranging from a week to two months. Each time, I make sure to leave the house as clean as possible. My priorities are your pet's safety, comfort, and I'll assess situations through walks or play.
Information Alexandria C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any fears, allergies, medical conditions, and special needs/quirks during walks, meal times, and playtimes. And anything else that you think is important.
A typical day
I’ll stimulate your pets physically and mentally, whether it’s playing with a wand or throwing a ball. Depending on your pet’s preference, we can play games, chill in the park or speed walk around the neighborhood while checking out new sights and smells. It’s also essential to get in some scratches if I can.

foster mom turned sitter
Pet care experience
As a lifelong dog lover, I've taken care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. Since I’m comfortable with adult dogs and seniors, I'm familiar with tricks to give meds and I'm careful with each dog's mobility or medical needs. I believe that patience and consistency is the key to handling any dog, whether they’re adjusting to a new environment, going on walks, or learning new tricks. Recently I’ve gone from dog mom to cat mom! For years, I fostered cats! I usually worked with adult cats who were on the shyer side to help socialize them for their forever homes. Beside behavioral fosters, I have also cared for medical foster cats with health concerns, mobility issues, and physical disabilities.

Reviews

Allie was so kind and wonderful with my senior pup, Mr. Billy. She was very thoughtful, cheerful, and Billy appreciated her energy and engagement right away (nuzzling up with a little tail wag). I would highly recommend Allie as a Rover sitter, especially if you have dogs who require medications or have unique needs/quirks. Billy and I are so very grateful for Ms. Allie!

Thank you Allie, Aleister loved his week with you and I was very comforted by the photos and updates!
Alexandria was great with the girls, extremely considerate, and great communicator.

Ali got a great response out of our thuggish little furry!
