I work from home 3 days a week (flexible). I am a homebody, so I’m also usually available on the weekends too. During the work day I still make sure to engage and interact with your cat.

A typical day
Mornings start with feeding, litter box care, followed by gentle play if your cat is interested. Throughout the day, I make sure to check-in. Evenings include dinner, light play or affection (based on your cat’s personality), and settling in for a relaxed night. I always move at your cat’s pace and respect their boundaries.

Cat care experience
I’m a lifelong cat lover, experienced foster, and sitter based in NYC. I’ve cared for cats my whole life, and over the years I’ve looked after my roommate’s cat, my neighbors’ cats, and a variety of foster cats with very different personalities. Those experiences taught me how to read feline behavior, build trust slowly, and make every cat feel safe and understood. I have a real soft spot for shy or cautious cats. I give them time, space, and quiet encouragement until they’re ready to open up. For playful cats, I have plenty of interactive toys, but I especially love hands‑on human play that keeps them engaged. Cleanliness and safety are huge priorities for me. My apartment is tidy, cat‑friendly, and free of hazards. Cats are welcome to roam the entire space, explore, nap, and settle wherever they feel comfortable. My routine is simple and structured: morning feeding and litter care, check-ins and enrichment throughout the day, and calm evening time with dinner and whatever level of affection or play your cat prefers. I follow your instructions closely and always respect your cat’s boundaries.

We received pictures and updates every day, along with useful information and a great sense of humor. Shanese was the very first cat sitter for my cat, so I was naturally a little nervous. She was incredibly reliable, professional, and patient from start to finish. My cat was very stressed being in a new environment, and despite a difficult first night, she took the time to make him feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Her place is a true cat paradise, filled with toys, and everything a cat could possibly need to have fun and be like home. She put a lot of thoughts and care she puts into creating the perfect environment for her guests. I'm already rebooking Shanese for a longer stay this summer because I know my cat will be happy, well cared for, and in the best hands.
