Meredith can care for
Availability
I work from home, which enables me to respond to any/all needs that may arise. Otherwise, I would walk and feed your dog similar to how I care for my own—long (~1h) morning walk, shorter (~0.5h) afternoon walk, and another 0.5h-1h walk in the evening, including dog park time but only if that’s something you’re comfortable with. I also take my dog out to make a quick pee before I go to bed and would do the same for yours. Meals are after the AM and PM walks—or whenever you otherwise prefer. Your pet will have access to plenty of toys (that are fine to be destroyed) all day, and is free to play with my dog as they choose (if that’s something you’re ok with!)

I have a crate that my dog doesn’t use if you want one for your dog—no need to bring! I live alone in a 1BR within a very small apt building that is dog friendly. There is a fenced back patio area in my building as well that they can use.

A typical day
We’ll go on nice, long walks around the neighborhood and/or to the park—for dogs of the right age, size, and temperament to enjoy that! For older, smaller, or less energetic dogs, we’ll go on shorter walks and try to stay out til they’ve pooped during the times of day when they typically do their biz (or if they haven’t pooped yet that day). If they’re good with other dogs and you’re comfortable, we’ll go in the dog run—with me close to the dog at all times. If they’re not good with other dogs or you’re not comfortable, we’ll stay in the solo dog run area. We’ll play tug of war, work on commands if you’d like, cuddle if they like that—all up to you and your dog’s preferences and needs.

Pet care experience
I have been a dog-walker and pet caretaker for most of my life! I love all pets, especially dogs; they're one of the best parts of life. I have a 3 y/o 35 lb Norwegian Elkhound who is remarkably calm, loves all dogs, & great at picking up on & respecting other dogs’ cues. I also work from home and can give your pet all the lovings, exercise, & attention they need. Before having my own dog I have also worked long-term with shih tzus, pitbulls, labs, labridoodles—dogs of all sizes and varying levels of sociability. I’m experienced at meeting the needs of rescue dogs, kennel-bred dogs, dogs who don’t play well with others, and more. I have also done days and weeks of dogsitting for vacationing pet parents, and have cat-sat too! I even once drove a sweet, anxious rescue pit-mix puppy cross-country--from New York to Arkansas--by myself! I’ll walk your pets regularly, play with them a ton, feed them according to your wishes, and love them as though they were my own fur babies.
Reviews

Meredith was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about cat care, and it was clear she genuinely cared about my cats’ well-being. I could tell they bonded with her during my time away—even my cat who usually doesn’t warm up to other people. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and would highly recommend Meredith for any pet-sitting needs.

Meredith was amazing with my two dogs, Nico and Bandit! She went above and beyond by doing a meet and greet ahead of time and kept me updated with lots of videos and messages, which really helped ease my anxiety while I was working long shifts. My dogs can be a bit of a handful, and she handled them with so much care and patience. She even took the time to clean up a couple of accidents, which I really appreciated. I came home to happy, well-cared-for pups. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her!

This is now the second time we hired Meredith to come watch our son and she once again was amazing! Great communication about arrivals and departures, very detailed accounts of the visits she had, and wonderful pictures of our boy! Our cat has grown to love Meredith so much that I’m sure he’ll be disappointed to see us! If you get the chance to work with Meredith, don’t pass it up! A++++++++!
