Hi! I’m Vanessa, a lifelong dog lover. Since I can’t have a pup of my own right now, I’d be honored to take care of yours, and trust me, your fur baby would be in loving hands. A little about me, caring for dogs has become more than just a passion, it’s truly a source of joy and therapy for me. Being around dogs brings me so much peace and happiness, and I pour all that love and energy into every pet I care for. I used to have my own dog, Toddy, a sweet boy I trained myself (he even knew how to play dead!). He spent his final years with my mom (his grandma!) in Venezuela, and sadly, he passed away in March 2024. Not being able to say goodbye to him has been one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life as an immigrant. But his memory lives on in everything I do, and he’s the reason I connect so deeply with the pets I care for. I love going on walks, playing fetch, or simply sharing quiet time with dogs. I truly believe pets are one of life’s greatest blessings — most days, I think we don’t even deserve them. If you’d like to know more about me, feel free to ask. Vanessa was absolutely wonderful with my beagle, Jackson! She watched him for 3 nights at her place, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. She was communicative, thoughtful, and clearly loves dogs—Jackson came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I really appreciated the updates and could tell he got lots of attention and love. I would 100% trust Vanessa with Jackson again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog sitter!

Schedule
I’m home full time Thursday- Mondays, and if I do need to step out for errands, it’s never for more than 2–4 hours. I live in a calm, peaceful neighborhood that’s perfect for walks, sniff breaks, and relaxing naps.

I care for pets with lots of love, patience, and attention to their individual needs and routines. In my home, I make sure they feel safe and comfortable from the moment they arrive. I follow their feeding schedules, administer any medications if needed, and give them plenty of playtime, walks, and cuddles.
A typical day
Whenever I have the time and if the dog is staying for more than 4 days I love to teach them some new tricks, like playing dead, for example.
