“Houda took incredible care of my kittens while I was gone for two weeks! She quickly won them both over, and was amazing about sending me updates that clearly demonstrated she was spending time with them, having just as much fun with their quirky cuteness as me, and treating them as her own. She gave them lots of playtime and cuddles while I was away, and I came back to two well cared for kittens!”

“Andrew & Jing have been incredibly communicative and thoughtful during the two times they’ve taken care of my cat. They send lots of great photos, comprehensive updates, follow all instructions closely and take time to play with her as well. It was a relief knowing she was in such good care!”

“Isabel is the best! Not only did she take amazing care of our babies, but she also went above and beyond to make them comfortable while we were traveling. She won their hearts in less than 3 days, and we definitely recommend her to care for your fur babies!🐈😻 P.S. takes the best pictures of them! 🫶🙌”

“Victoria has been taking care of our cat for years now, every time we’ve gone out of town for an extended period. She is always super reliable, trustworthy and flexible! And very communicative. Highly recommend her to take care of your pets!”

“Katrina was amazing, she provided detailed updates and pictures of my kitty, and was extremely thoughtful and helpful in making sure she was giving the best care for my cats needs. I would be so grateful to have Katrina watch my cat any time, she is clearly a cat lover!?”

About: I've grown up with dogs around me since I was 5 years old. I always loved taking my friends and neighbors dog's on long walks for them, and always played with the pups to make sure they get the attention they need. I am a pet person and care for animals the same way I would care for myself and others. I'm working during the day for myself so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups, cats or pets. My schedule is flexible with an early notice. I am very attentive to pets when I am not in the comfort of my own home. When I walk or take pets outside I watch them carefully to make sure they are safe.
About: I grew up in my grandmother’s home for part of my childhood with her two Shitzu’s. I was exposed to dogs at a young and fell in love ever since. When I was in high school, we got our family dog, a Papillion named Callie - who I sadly don’t see as often anymore. Last year, I brought home my first dog - Cherry who is also a 1 year old Papillon. I also have experience with larger size dogs (up to 45 pounds) because I have fostered here and there whenever I got the chance. Although my weekdays are busy, I am available to watch your fur baby most weekends for sitting or for boarding unless indicated otherwise on my calendar. I live in a studio apartment, but have access to a fenced dog park on the second floor of my apartment building for quick potty breaks. I also can take the dogs on longer or more frequent walks (able to cater toward each dog).
“We can’t say enough wonderful things about Lihan! She took such incredible care of our dogs, Boogie and Gustavo, while we were away. From the very beginning, she was communicative, reliable, and so kind. Lihan followed our detailed care instructions perfectly, including feeding schedules, playtimes, and even the little things like wiping Boogie’s paws and making sure the pups felt comfortable and loved. She handled everything with such care and attention to detail. Not only did Boogie and Gustavo get plenty of exercise and affection, but Lihan also kept our home tidy and sent us updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind. We could tell our pups were happy and relaxed in her care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely great with animals, Lihan is absolutely the best. We feel so lucky to have found her and will definitely be asking her to watch Boogie and Gustavo again! Thank you so much, Lihan, for everything!”

About: We have a 2 years old 12 pounds Bichon at home. He is properly trained, neutered, friendly and enjoys playing with other small paws. We have taken care of dogs at our home and keep additional supplies for having two more dog. We are a couple working full-time and work from home for at least 1-2 days a week. We walk our dog twice a day and are available after 6PM on workdays and more flexible on weekend. We live in apartment in Court Square LIC where trains and buses are easily accessible, thus your dog can be easily dropped off or picked up. We love keeping home clean and foster a safe environment for dogs.

“Tiffany is the best friend a dog or person can have Attentive loving and so thorough hudson and I can’t wait to see you again This is why I refer you to my friends”

“Jennifer walked Ona, our senior ‘pibble’, weekly for the past year. Until she crossed rainbow bridge, it was the highlight of her week. We’ve since rescued our chihuahua, Mālie, who absolutely LOVES her time Jennifer! We can’t recommend a more reliable and pet-loving person to care for your ‘fur-baby’!”

About: Rover sitter, boarder, and dog walker in Midtown - available this weekend and every weekend and ready to love your fur babies like my own including early drop ins and more. I would love to meet your pup or kitty! What sets me apart is my reliability, attention to detail, and the genuine care I bring to every pet I look after. I offer consistent early-morning availability for dog walks during the week, which is perfect for pups who thrive on a structured routine or need to burn off energy before the day begins (think wee hours zoomies). I’ve been raising my own dog for over two years, giving me hands-on experience with daily care, different temperaments, and maintaining a healthy, happy routine. I’m comfortable with a range of needs: from energetic dogs who love active walks and playtime to those who prefer a calmer, more relaxed pace as I've taken care of pets for friends. I’m especially flexible on Fridays and heading into the weekends, making me a great option for boarding, daycare, or house sitting when you may need extra support. I also prioritize clear, consistent communication, with regular updates and photos so you always feel confident your pet is in good hands. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved, just like they would be at home. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine since I have my own dog, so I’m used to planning my day around walks, feeding, and quality time. I’m available for consistent early-morning walks during the week, and I have much more flexibility heading into the weekends for boarding, daycare, and house sitting. I enjoy staying active and spending time with dogs, so fitting in walks, playtime, and check-ins is something I genuinely look forward to. I make sure every pet gets the attention, structure, and care they’re used to. I care for every pet based on their individual routine and needs, whether they’re in my home or theirs. I stick closely to their usual schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime so they feel comfortable and at ease. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and keep everything clean and consistent while giving their pet plenty of attention and companionship. In my home, I provide a safe, calm environment with lots of supervision, play, and downtime depending on the dog’s energy level. I also pay close attention to behavior and body language to make sure pets feel secure, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re doing. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, walks, and any specific care requests, while also making sure they get plenty of companionship and care.

“My dog doesn’t always like everyone but she loved May! She was very prompt and very easy to work with. She clearly loves animals and knows how to take great care of them. Will definitely look for her for future bookings !”

“Manny was a wonderful sitter for our two cats Callisto and Elara. He stopped in while we were away to take care of them and was always on time, a great communicator, and thorough - all in all he put our minds at ease and let us know our animals were in great hands. My cats can be very shy but, by the second day they were already warming up to Manny as evidenced by the cute pictures we got each day. I would 1000% book with him again and recommend him.”

About: I grew up with 5 labs (4 females, 1 male - all unspayed and unneutered) ranging from 45-85 lbs. Katherine was very good with my pets and provided updates for each visit. She was great at communicating and providing pictures for each walk and visit. My pets seemed to enjoy her company! She also cleaned and kept the space tidy without having to ask. I'd definitely recommend Katherine and also request for her again for future sitting.
She was wonderful with my two pups! She was attentive, caring, and took great care of them with very little instruction. She was intuitive, flexible, and quickly picked up on their needs. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. I would absolutely trust her to care for them again.

Huge shoutout to Loretto for taking such amazing care of Amara! He was so attentive, dependable, and awesome with communication while I was away. Amara absolutely loved him, and it gave me total peace of mind seeing how well cared for she was. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone!

May has been a repeat for us because of her kindness with Courage. She knew how anxious he was and came BEFORE the booking to ensure he was warmed up to her. We didn’t ask for that and she went above and beyond. On top, she’s always consistent with her communication and shows such care for our Courage. Will always use May!

I highly recommend Christina. She was flexible about doing a quick meet-and-greet before the actual pet sitting, which I really appreciated. She was attentive to all the instructions, asked thoughtful questions, and gave updates. Overall, I felt like my pets were in great hands.

Alena was amazing with Binx, she shared a lot of photos and I’m sure Binx loved having her company. Alena also really helped me out because I did a last minute booking. She is professional, punctual, and a real animal whisperer. I will definitely be booking her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
