“Had a great experience with Angela! I was super nervous because my pup is a bit reactive and this was our first time boarding with her but she settled in with Angela super quickly and left me without worry!”

“Sabrina took wonderful care of my dog. I had to book the boarding last minite, but Sabrina was very accommodating. She responded to my messages quickly and also kept sending me photos of how my dog was doing which gave me peace of mind. When I was picking him up, Sabrina explained in detail how he ate, slept, walked and behaved during the stay. This proved to me that Sabrina paid a lot of attention to my dog. Most dog sitters in my experience didn't share this much detail. I highly recommend Sabrina!”

“John, took excellent care of our girl Cici. He was very communicative and always sent me pictures of her. She came back extremely happy. Cici is definitely looking forward staying with John again!”

“Lal, Matt & Hank were great! My doggy boys stayed with them for a week while we were travelling out of state and they looked like they were having a nice little doggy vacation themselves with their new found friends. Lal would keep us updated with how our boys were doing by also posting pictures and videos along with the texts and e-mails. Lal really took the time to get to know the boys well specially during their meet and greet. Plus the fact that their LabraDoodle, Hank got along very well with the boys made me really feel at ease. I would definitely pick them again for our upcoming travels. So happy to know that my doggy boys were in good hands while we were away. Highly recommended.”

“Sarah gave Dante an outstanding stay caring for him while we were away visiting family do 3 days. She sent plenty of photos and kept us updated several times a day on how he was doing. She took Dante on 2-3 walks a day and gave him plenty of opportunities to make new furry friends at Central Park. Highly recommend Sarah and hope we can work together again!”

“Adam was great! It was the first time we were away from our puppy over night and we were very nervous. He took great care of her and sent us videos everyday! Will definitely use him again:)”

“Michael is simply the greatest dog boarder in the history of the world. When you book through Michael, though, you don't just get him, you also get his amazing wife, too. Michael took care of my dog Lucas during a medical emergency. I was at work at the hospital after midnight. We were terribly low-staffed. There was no one to take over my patients. If I'd left work, I probably would have lost my license and been fired for abandonment. Michael took my dog to an emergency 24 hour vet and didn't get back home until like 2 in the morning. The care he took of my dog went above and beyond. He is awesome, he is amazing, he is smart and capable and caring, I cannot say enough good things about him. You can trust your fur babies with Michael. With him and his wife, they are in amazing hands. It's always scary entrusting your canine children to a stranger, but with Michael you realize that he's not a stranger, he's the family member you didn't know you had. Thank you Michael!!!”

“pam was very friendly, loves dogs, and we felt like she genuinely cared for our pet :) our dog also seemed like he settled down fairly quickly and enjoyed playing with pam and other dogs”

“I am one satisfied customer. Ryan took excellent care of my dog for one week. He stayed in contact with me for the duration of the week via text and emails. Ryan sent several pictures not to mention asking questions pertaining to my dogs needs. He is an excellent dog sitter. Trust me when I tell you booking him is a fantastic choice!!!”

“Bridget was great! She is very friendly and took great care of our dog. She shared photos and updates, which made us feel better as first time Rover users. Additionally, our dog came home relaxed and at ease, so we know she was well cared for. We would definitely ask her to watch our pup again.”

“Michelle is lovely and our dog was so happy to be with her for a week! We really appreciated that she was able to work from home so our dog wasn’t alone for too long. Michelle sent photos and updates daily. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Kecia is fantastic! She is kind and attentive to Olly so I always feel like he is in good hands. I also appreciate how communicative she is. My flight home was delayed so i needed to have a friend pick up Olly and Kecia was flexible in handing him off. I was super stressed at first but she went above and beyond to help us!”

“Sherry and Walter looked after our little puppy Figo for a night, and were fantastic sitters! They played with him, made him feel very comfortable with lots of snuggles, took him on a lovely walk and sent us lots of updates throughout. We’d recommend them highly!”

“Mykala and her partner took great care of my dog Tails! It was a fairly last minute request for multiple days of boarding so I was very relieved to find good caregivers for him. They provided lots of updates and Tails enjoyed spending time with their dog Boots. I would book again!”

“David and Marcelle (his partner) were fantastic! They understood Dante's quirks and just let him be a dog, which definitely put him at ease. David and Marcelle were able to get Dante's leash reactivity under control, of course, with the help of Nuno their rescue pup. I believe it was all of the cuddles Dante received that definitely made him a more confident dog when he came home. David was highly communicative, with a bit of wit to add, sending me several updates a day with photos. I highly recommend David, and look forward to boarding Dante with him again!”

“Euitae was great with my puppy! Communicated with me well throughout the time, sent photos and videos. I felt comfortable leaving her with a new boarder and would work with Euitae again!”

“Jelfri is amazing! He watched my dog Jack for a week and was perfect. Great communication, and he even went out of his way to get him his exact food when he was running out. Would absolutely recommend”

“I was so nervous to leave my Penelope behind for the week. I always have friends and family watch her and I think I actually cried when I dropped her off. SHE. HAD. A. BLAST. He was so great at sending regular photos, taking her to the park and giving me updates. My vacation was made possible knowing she was in good hands.”

“Ashley was so amazing - she went above and beyond to make sure my dogs were cared for (especially when my little pup was having stomach issues unexpectedly). Nothing phased her and she was super communicative along the way. Can’t recommend her enough. Trust her 100%!”

“Jenna is a great pet sitter. I needed someone to look after my cat while I was out of town for a few days and I picked Jenna after reading all the great reviews. She followed the schedule we agreed on and instructions I provided. I loved that she sent me pictures of my cat to show me how she was doing. My cat is very shy and is scared of new people but Jenna was able to make her feel comfortable. I will definitely choose her again in the future!”

“Christie took great care of our cats while we are away. She has given them lots of playtime, care, and love We would for sure go back to Christie again if we have needs.”

“Simon took great care of my cat while I was away. She has some medical needs which he was very attentive to, and she was happy, healthy and well cared for when I arrived home. Thank you Simon!”

“Lisa was incredible! We hired her to look after our shy kitty for a weekend. She asked a lot of questions and took notes on exactly what the protocol was. She even asked things we didn’t think about like what temperature to leave the thermostats on and stuff. Our kitty is quite shy but she did a great job getting her to come out to receive pets and eat her food! I was really impressed.”

“As a first time user on Rover, I had a lot of concerns for my cat babies, and Houda has totally relieved my concerns AND now I feel this freedom that I can travel more now that I have Houda in the neighborhood. She is reliable, excellent at communications and my cats loved them. Thank you, Houda! Can’t wait for you to take care of my babies again in the near future.”

“Great communication with Nina. She was incredibly reliable, followed the instructions I left well and sent me photos. My cat Momo seemed happy to have her company! Would certainly use Nina again!”

“Once again, Candice watched The Prince of Woodside (as she lovingly calls him). She does a fantastic job and I adore that she has come to know my Gordon so well- picking up on when he’s sad and providing extra attention. She’s the best!”

“Adam is a super experienced cat sitter :) spent a lot of time with my cat and made him very happy. My flight coming back to New York was delayed and I had to message him last minute to see if he’s able to make one extra visit. Adam got back to me in no time and took care of my cat! Both me and my cat are very grateful”
“Communication with Emily was very smooth. She took great care of our cat, sent comprehensive reports and cute pictures and followed all our instructions. Will definitely book her again in the future!”

“Andrew & Jing have been incredibly communicative and thoughtful during the two times they’ve taken care of my cat. They send lots of great photos, comprehensive updates, follow all instructions closely and take time to play with her as well. It was a relief knowing she was in such good care!”

“Mary is absolutely wonderful and makes my kitty so happy each and every time she sees him. This is our second time using Mary and we plan to have her take care of our kitty every time we go away. I feel so safe having her visit him, and she goes above and beyond on each visit.”

She is attentive, thorough and detail oriented, followed instructions perfectly and sent thoughtful updates. She went above and beyond to make our cats and us comfortable. We will definitely reach out again!”

“Jen is great and takes such good care of Lumpy. She lets him relax with her at his own speed, which is so important with cats. If you’re an anxious pet owner, I especially recommend Jen - she is very communicative and thorough. You’re never left wondering if things are ok, and it makes travel that much easier!”

“The best cat sitter!! I received pics/videos of my two cats everyday with updates. They were so happy with lots of toys and a big window to look out of everyday.”

“Charlie was amazing! I was away for ten days and was so worried about leaving my cat. But Charlie was incredibly communicative from start to finish, very easy to work with, and my cat absolutely loved him. I absolutely recommend Charlie and will 100% book with him again.”

“Hua is very easy to communicate with and keeps me updated throughout the day, especially on walks and meal time. We will come back and book sessions with Hua in the future!”

About: With my childhood pom recently passing, I’m hoping to connect with new furry friends, spreading the same love I’ve always had for animals and honoring his memory in the process 🤎 As a dedicated pet sitter, I take your furry friends on frequent walks, ensuring they get their exercise and fresh air. I engage them in interactive sensory games to ease their stress and burn energy. With your pet's well being in mind, I occasionally offer safe fruits and veggies after seeking your approval as the owner. During my stays, I'm all about creating a cozy atmosphere at home, whether it's binge watching TV or getting creative with arts and crafts. I prioritize not leaving your beloved pets alone, making their comfort my top priority. Your pets are in good hands with me! 🐾 Safety is my top priority. Dogs get 4–5 walks a day (puppy pads on hot days), meals after walks, and cooling chicken broth popsicles. 🤗
About: I am deeply and utterly a major dog person. But I also love cats! I grew up with a beloved dog, and when I later met my wife and she came with two cats, I quickly fell in love with all of them. Sadly our cats have passed. Last Fall, we adopted our beautiful 4 year old lab mix, Goose. I have worked as a pet walker and sitter for years, and I believe wholeheartedly that dogs are basically humans, except way better! I work from home and my schedule is super flexible, so I can give your pets the love and attention they deserve all day long. I like to keep your pets on their regular schedule so they can feel calm while their parents are away, so you make the rules and I'm happy to follow them! I have great references and reviews that I’m happy to provide. Hope to see you and your pups and kits soon! I work remotely, and my schedule is super flexible. I’m available seven days a week. My schedule allows me to be very accommodating to all of your pets’ unique needs. My wife and I live in Greenpoint with our dog Goose. We are open to having your pets stay at our house or dropping in for walks or visits.
“I was nervous to leave my puppy in daycare for the first time, but Sungmin took such good care of him and put me at ease with frequent updates, photos and videos. Our puppy is a lot of work and she spent plenty of time playing with him and giving him attention. She was transparent about other animals that would be there as well, and i am happy he was able to socialize and play with another puppy.”

“Tracy was so wonderful with our dog. He rarely gets the chance to have play dates with other dogs so we were a little worried but Tracy reassured us that everything would go well and provided lots of updates and pictures of him playing with her dog! Would definitely book again!!”

“Kuan and Zhixi are the best!! I am so appreciative of them both for taking such great care of my little guy. I know he is in good hands when I leave him with them. 💛”

About: We are lifelong animal lovers. Growing up, I also cared for rescue dogs, so helping pets in need has always been close to my heart. Today, we are proud parents to Dobby, our sweet Pomeranian who we adopted from a local rescue center. Giving Dobby a second chance at a loving home has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Because of these experiences, we truly understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your furry family member. We work from home in LIC, so your pup will never be left alone for long. Daily walks by the water, cozy playtime in our spacious living room, and plenty of snuggles on our big couch are part of the routine here. Safety and comfort always come first—we’ll follow your pet’s feeding schedule, respect their personality and quirks, and send frequent photo updates so you always know how they’re doing. We also believe in giving back: a portion of what we earn is donated to local animal rescue organizations, because every pet deserves love and safety. As a fellow pet parent, I know how important it is to respect each pet’s own routine, personality, and little quirks. Since my partner and I both work from home, we have the flexibility to adjust our day around your pet’s needs—whether that’s a midday walk, playtime, or quiet companionship. Our regular hours are 10AM to 9:30PM for non- boarding service. Additional rates might be required for time outside of regular hours. In my home (for boarding): We keep a clean, pet-friendly space with no hazards. Doors and windows are secured at all times, and pets are never left unattended outside. Walks are always on-leash with secure harnesses or collars—never off-leash unless specifically approved by the owner. Pets have access to cozy rest areas, toys, and fresh water at all times. If your pet prefers a crate or a separate quiet space, we can easily accommodate that. In a client’s home (drop-ins): I always respect your home and follow your instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and walking routes to medication routines. I make sure your pet stays in their familiar environment and feels comfortable while you’re away. As fellow pet parents, we understand that every dog or cat has their own habits and quirks. We will always follow your directions strictly and do our best to maintain your pet’s normal routine so they feel safe, secure, and loved.
“Gabrielle did an amazing job taking care of Rio! She was very communicative, sent lots of photos and updates throughout the day, and made me feel completely at ease. I could tell Rio was having a great time and was very comfortable with her. He came home happy and tired, which is always a good sign 😊. I’ll definitely be booking with Gabrielle again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. This is my first time using rover for pet sitting and I feel so lucky to have found Gabrielle!”

“Tania is very responsive and very flexible with the pick up and drop off schedule, which makes my day much easier. My dog looks having a good time from the pictures shared during the day”

“She is EXTRAORDINARY! Words can not do her level of professionalism and love of our dog Goose! She treated Goose and us just like family. She was kind and understanding...we tried to not be late for meeting which is hard in NYC with 3 children..She is the best fit for any situation!”

“Tingli was great with our very shy Shih Tzu Benji. She picked up his vibe and was so gentle and caring. She took so many pics which was very comforting. It was very obvious she bonded with him and she has such a great approach to her care with dogs. Highly recommended, very good communication/professionalism!”

“Robin is so sweet to Benny and took such good care of her. Benny is a nervous pup but it was clear that she warmed up to Robin right away. Robin kept me posted on how Benny was doing to make sure that I was not worrying and sent lots of photos. She took time to play with Benny, made sure she had water and was fed and also provided plenty of opportunities for potty breaks. I would definitely trust Robin to take care of my pups again ❤️”

About: I’ve always loved animals, growing up I always had at least one dog in my household at any time. I have experience with breeds of different sizes from bichons and shih tzus to golden retrievers and I’m always happy to meet new dogs! I love dogs so much and will make sure to send many photos and walk them as needed during the day. I currently work from home most days and have a pretty flexible schedule to take your pups on walks throughout the day, just let me know what they need! I only go into the office 1-2 times a week and can move around the days I go in depending on your needs so I can try to make myself available as needed! I used to live with a dog in my apartment until recently, so my home is perfectly dog safe! On the days that I work from home I only have to run errands occasionally so I can make sure to keep your company while they’re staying with me!
“Sonia took great care of my dog and made sure she had everything she needed! She also sent several pictures and videos during her stay which was amazing!”

About: I’ve always loved being around dogs and enjoy giving them the attention, care, and structure they need to feel comfortable and happy. Dog sitting is a great way for me to combine that passion with helping owners feel at ease while they’re away. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every dog I care for feels safe, active, and well-loved. I currently work full-time, and I’m looking to board puppies and small dogs over the weekend, or take them for day sitting! No minimum of days required. I live in a brand new condominium building located in Long Island city, building does have a fenced outdoor parking lot where I take my own puppy to potty train and have playtime. This will be incorporated into your dogs boarding experience lots of outdoor space to play and a friend to enjoy with.

“Matheus is an excellent dogsitter. Very welcome & friendly. I felt he genuinely loves dogs. My pup was very happy to see him. I will definitely take his service if I am in that area again.”

I currently work from home, so I'm able to build afternoon walks into my day as a refreshing break for both me and your pup. No rushing and just a relaxed, attentive walk when your dog needs it most. About: Hello! I work from home and love to spend time with animals. I have two medium dogs (Ramona and Molly). They are both playful and full of energy, so I'm used to looking after big pup personalities! Molly is our anxiety queen, and caring for her has taught me so much about the importance of routine and meeting each pet where they're specifically coming from. In addition to Rover, I have had dogs all my life, watched dogs and houses for professors while I was in college, and even spent three weeks watching 13 rescue dogs in France for a Workaway experience. Because I work from home, my schedule is extremely flexible and I am always willing to make whatever you need work. Your pet's safety, comfort, and enrichment are my first priorities. I am excited to meet and become friends with your furry family member!
“Yidi was great with Sammy! My dog can be standoffish at first, but Yidi was patient with her and by the second walk she was already more comfortable and walking more/further from home. Yidi is also very responsive and easy to communicate with, we would gladly use his services again!”

“Dukkyu has been a great, reliable dog walker for my dog, Holly. He arrives on time, is very responsive, and best of all - my pup loves him! He is great with animals and I highly recommend him.”

About: I grew up in my grandmother’s home for part of my childhood with her two Shitzu’s. I was exposed to dogs at a young and fell in love ever since. When I was in high school, we got our family dog, a Papillion named Callie - who I sadly don’t see as often anymore. Last year, I brought home my first dog - Cherry who is also a 1 year old Papillon. I also have experience with larger size dogs (up to 45 pounds) because I have fostered here and there whenever I got the chance. Although my weekdays are busy, I am available to watch your fur baby most weekends for sitting or for boarding unless indicated otherwise on my calendar. I live in a studio apartment, but have access to a fenced dog park on the second floor of my apartment building for quick potty breaks. I also can take the dogs on longer or more frequent walks (able to cater toward each dog).
“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Emily is reliable, communicative, and so sweet with Zeke. I loved the prompt updates and notes during the walk. She even handled a messy accident in the apartment with total grace and helped clean up. It’s such a relief knowing Zeke is in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Sharon is wonderful! It’s been so helpful to have a dog walker that I can trust while I am in the office. She is kind, communicative, and conscientious - a pleasure to work with!”

“Angelica is absolutely wonderful! It’s the first time Kobe has had a consistent dog walker and we couldn’t be happpier. Angelica took the time to make him comfortable and they quickly became besties. Angelica is kind, responsive, and sends the most adorable pictures. 10/10”

About: I’ve spent the last six-plus years opening my home to dogs of all backgrounds—nurturing the timid souls, managing the high-energy adventurers, and providing dedicated support to those with special needs. My personal journey includes my own four-year-old, a 'foster fail' who completely stole my heart. Through consistent, gentle, and positive reinforcement, I successfully trained her to become a service animal, and I am eager to bring that same level of devotion, expertise, and personalized attention to your dog's stay. I work from home as a painter in Greenpoint, which means my day is naturally calm, creative, and highly adaptable. Your dog will enjoy a reliable routine: a fresh morning walk before breakfast, and attentive breaks every 2 to 4 hours throughout the day. We are lucky to live just a two-minute stroll from the park, making it easy to head out for a tailored 30 to 60-minute afternoon walk to burn off some energy. Before turning in for the night, we’ll take one last short walk together to decompress and get ready for bed. - Because I work from home full-time, your dog is never left unattended. I maintain a predictable, structured environment where boundaries are clear and safety is the baseline. - Safety outdoors is non-negotiable. I use double-attachment points if requested, never let dogs off-line in unsecured areas, and maintain strict threshold control (ensuring dogs wait calmly at doors and gates rather than bolting). - You will receive timely, detailed updates with your fur baby's photos and brief notes on your dog's mood, energy, and bathroom routines, giving you total peace of mind while you are away. - My dog will be at my partner's place if a client's dog doesn't feel comfortable around other dogs.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats over the past 20 years, including my own three. I’m reliable, responsible and caring. I know how hard it is to decide on who is the right person to take care of your furry family member. I take that responsibility very seriously. I will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and your furry friend has the best time in my care. I’m very communicative and can send as many written or picture updates as you want. I have a flexible schedule - I’m a television producer who has worked for the same company for 14 years. I’m currently remote so can work around your schedule. Open to pet visits or play dates, walks, and check ins. Will of course provide my furry client with lots of rubs and playtime. I have experience with puppies and senior animals. I’m a television producer with a flexible schedule. I have worked for the same network for over 14 years. I really Love my job, but looking for something to mix up my day- what is better than spending time with animals and being a loving walker or babysitter for a nice family? Safety, security and trust are high priorities for me when watching or walking someone’s furry family member. I’m a very good listener and will follow any instructions given.

“Euitae was great with my puppy! Communicated with me well throughout the time, sent photos and videos. I felt comfortable leaving her with a new boarder and would work with Euitae again!”

“Ashley was so amazing - she went above and beyond to make sure my dogs were cared for (especially when my little pup was having stomach issues unexpectedly). Nothing phased her and she was super communicative along the way. Can’t recommend her enough. Trust her 100%!”

“Kiersten & Casey were (/are) amazing. Highly communicative, tons of photos, clearly massive dog lovers with lots of experience. Can’t say enough good things!”
“Stella was great! Austin is a little anxious & reactive but Stella was so accommodating & patient with him. I get nervous leaving him with new sitters since we just moved but I knew he was in good hands with Stella & Koukla. Stella provided me regular updates & took Austin on walks, to the park & kept him so busy & happy while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“Great person overall, and a wonderful pup sitter. She’s very thorough and communicative. I extremely comfortable leaving my super senior dog with her. Highly recommend!”

“This was our second time boarding with Marina and had a great experience! Our dog was so happy to see her and ran right into their building. They send multiple photos daily. It’s clear they are very loving towards the dogs in their care!”

“Goose’s stay with Jen went so well! Goose stayed 6 nights, and we could tell she loved every minute of it in the daily picture updates we received. Definitely hope Goose can stay again and cannot recommend Jen enough!”

“Alex was great! She accepted on super short notice after a cancellation and responded timely. She gave me updates during the stay and took good care of my dog. Would absolutely book again.”

“Nicole was a dream! She took care of my shy dog like her own for 3 days. While my dog is shy and scared of people, Nicole had lots of love, toys and walks for a whole weekend to make him feel at home. Will definitely rebook!”

“Max had a great time with Yinuo. Yinuo was great at sending updates and photos, taking Max on long walks and playing fetch. I felt incredibly rest assured and comfortable that Max was being well taken care of while I was away. Yinuo was so great at following all instructions and care details. I’d love to book with her again!”

“Tiffany is so wonderful. She was so kind and sent us updates about our dog. We just moved to NYC and our dog has separation anxiety. She is the perfect companion for our pup Leche when we have to be away from home for long periods of time. So glad we found Tiffany.”

“Elena was able to take Kiwi last minute while I had a family emergency. Not only was she able to step in, she did an amazing job with Kiwi. I knew Kiwi was safe, all her meds were given to her exactly as needed and she got all of her daily walks! I got updates and pictures, Kiwi had a great time with her 🩷 I would absolutely use Elena again, I feel lucky to have found her. I highly recommend Elena for any pup but she did especially great with my sensitive, high maintenance girl.”
“Roman was an incredible host and I felt incredibly comfortable throughout our time away. He took our golden retriever on multiple long walks each day, snuggled with him and kept me informed every day of their adventures. I highly recommend Roman and very happy to be a positive reference for him.”

“Iryna took such amazing care of my pup Cannon! She was flexible, communicative, and made Cannon feel right at home throughout his stay. 10/10 experience”

About: I grew up with a wheaten terrier for 15 years & attended her puppy training classes & took her on countless walks & adventures. Since her passing my roommate and I have dog sat at our apartment together. I work a hybrid schedule and work from home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This allows me to easily walk your dog in the morning, afternoon and evening. Conveniently I live by 3 different parks. I have a spacious living area in our apartment on the 2nd floor of our elevator building. The dog would be allowed to hang out there and on the couch. Since i would be home he/she would get ample attention.
“Anastasia was able to take care of Bella last minute. Bella enjoyed her stay and Anastasia fixed her favorite toy too. I highly recommend booking with her.”
