About: Even though I’ve never had a dog of my own, it was always in my heart since I was a child to always love them. I used to help my uncle take care of dogs because he used to dog sit in our home. I would hope by feeding them and walking them. I’m free most of the time and I’d like to do something with my free time so since I love dogs, why not get paid to hang out with a bunch of fur babies! Although I’m not offering home boarding at the moment, I live in a small three bedroom apartment so I just believe it wouldn’t be best for a dog at this time.

About: Hi there! Here's a quick intro to my skillset: • 11+ years dog sitting, walking, & boarding • Personal & professional experience with caring for dogs of every age, including puppies and seniors • Ability to administer oral, topical, & injectable medications • Familiarity with crate, leash & potty training methods • Knowledge of basic grooming, including poodles/double-coats I hope to see your pup soon! As a student training for a fall passage along El Camino, I like to get outside and explore as much as possible! I'm an avid birder and particularly love trail hikes, though I make sure to leave the binos at home when there's furry company. As an early bird/night owl (and on summer vacation!) my schedule is flexible and can readily be adjusted to accommodate last-minute requests. I hope to meet you soon! I was born into a home with a beagle, 25 pounds of guile and cunning. Two decades past, hounds have trained me well. All doors will be closed, gates latched, bags kept out of reach. Raisins? Never heard of them.
“I've had the pleasure of having Rachelle as my sitter for a while now. This is my first puppy and unfortunately, it seems I picked the sickly puppy from the breeder as he's had many issues. However, that never stopped Rachelle. She has been a joy who has been my support when my puppy needs additional care and patience. If you want someone who proactive, communicative, and kind then look no further.”

About: I have taking a vet science course for 3 years, where I have been taught to care for many different animals. I also have experience in taking care of animals myself a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a Labrador retriever. I am currently on break from college and looking to fill my days with jobs that gives me different experiences everyday even better if it’s doing something I love. When I care for my pets and hopefully yours, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routine, and any special instructions you share. I love taking long walks, so your animal will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time. I will keep their space clean, give a lot of attention, and send regular updates and photos with permission throughout their day.

About: I moved to NYC about 3 years ago for college and started dog walking and sitting for a side job when I was a freshman. Have been doing it ever since and now I have my own apartment to upgrade to walking and boarding as well. I am a pet sibling myself and have dealt with caring for multiple breeds, ages, and sizes, even cats! I was mostly providing services on Wag in NYC and back home in Hawaii but am looking to expand to the awesome pet parents on Rover! I currently work full-time but my boss is very flexible with my schedules usually giving my days off in a row if there’s no help needed. My girlfriend is also a dog sitter and can help me if I have to work, so your animals are always with someone and in the best care. If I am not working I will be working full time for your animals! Currently I have no other pets or animals in the unit. Our building is very secure with elevator access to support any older animals. My apartment is also right next to Prospect Park offering a lot of play area and routes to walk.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I can remember. Love to take them on walks and play with them. Have experience giving medicine to them. Because I am currently freelancing with a highly flexible schedule, pet care is my primary focus! I have open availability any day of the week, including weekends. This means I can seamlessly adapt to your pet's specific routine, offering frequent potty breaks, timely feedings, and plenty of companionship right when they need it. Safety and trust are my absolute top priorities. I closely follow your exact household rules, feeding guidelines, and medication schedules to keep your pet's routine consistent. During outdoor walks, I keep dogs securely leashed and stay highly alert to our surroundings. I also respect feline boundaries for cats, making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their space. I'll send regular photo updates so you always have total peace of mind.
“Lynn took such good care of my kitties! She played with them and gave them lots of attention and sent me lots of updates. I was so grateful to have her look after them!”
About: Cadence here - your new sitter! My affinity with animals started with my first rescue cat at 5 years old. Since then, I’ve worked with several shelters (both in-house volunteering and at-home fostering), families and friends to bring care to furry friends across the country. My experience includes kittens, young dogs and seniors. I understand that every pet has their own needs - whether that’s long walks, playtime, or just hanging out for company. I specialize in professionalism, predictability and most importantly, matching the energy of your pet. I can’t wait to meet your baby! I work full-time with a flexible corporate schedule! I’m generally available weekdays 4pm to 10am, weekends and holidays for both drop-in visits or walks. I take pride in my “Type-A” ability to follow your care instructions, stay organized, and keep your pets comfortable. For visits, I can provide fresh food, water, medications, cleanup and playtime. For walks, I can also tailor the length, pace and routes to your pets’ energy level and needs. “Liudmyla took excellent care of our two cats. They are slow to warm up to people, but she was able to befriend them and earn their trust right away. She was very reliable and we can't wait to book her again the next time we leave town.”

“Samantha was so wonderful with my senior cat, Lenny! She gave him his pills everyday, gave him lots of pets and attention, and sent me a lot of pictures which I really appreciated. She’s also super communicative and easy to get in touch with. I will definitely book Samantha again as I came home to a happy and healthy cat.”

“Ameera was a great sitter for my cat, who has medical issues. She gave medication, fed her, scooped the litter box, and gave her tons of pets and attention. She sent thorough updates and plenty of photos. I’d book Ameera again for sure.”
“I was so anxious to leave my kitty for the weekend and Arnelle did a fantastic job at soothing my nerves. She was the first sitter I booked through this app and was incredibly flexible in terms of all of the logistics. From the photos she sent of Mickey, I could tell he was thrilled to see her. Will certainly be booking with her again in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brooklyn
Carla was kind enough to meet me the day before her drop in so I could introduce her to the pups and my place. She is very kind, experienced, and you can tell she has a true affinity for animals. She came in and spent time with my besties while I was out for the day. Can’t wait to invite her back!

Zion has been amazing with my dog, Linda Lou. From day one, he’s been patient, reliable, and incredibly thoughtful about her needs. She’s still building confidence on walks, and he never rushes her, he meets her where she is and helps her feel comfortable and safe. He communicates clearly, sends thoughtful updates, and genuinely cares about her well-being. It’s obvious that he treats every dog like they’re his own, and that level of care gives me complete peace of mind. I trust Zion completely with Linda Lou, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, dependable, knowledgeable, and truly loves dogs, Zion is the person to book!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
