“Ameera was super communicative, and ensured the cats had ample playtime in addition to their food, water, and litter. She kept an eye out when they tried to get in trouble throughout my time away, and cleaned up their shenanigans to ensure their safety. Ameera senf sweet photos that made me calm and releived as i travelled. My babies were very happy and calm upon my arrival home!”

“Sarah took wonderful care of our cats. She was organized, responsive, and left us great notes every day (with the cutest photos!) Our cats clearly adored her and trusted her quickly. Thank you, Sarah!”

“GOATed sitter, cool guy, cats like him more than me. Left very detailed messages each day with lots of pictures and videos. Made our trip a lot better knowing the cats were safe and happy”

“Hanna is amazing! She took great care of my cats and even noticed one of their lips was swollen making sure to keep an eye on it. Will definitely book her in the future :)”

About: Hi there! Here's a quick intro to my skillset: • 11+ years dog sitting, walking, & boarding • Personal & professional experience with caring for dogs of every age, including puppies and seniors • Ability to administer oral, topical, & injectable medications • Familiarity with crate, leash & potty training methods • Knowledge of basic grooming, including poodles/double-coats I hope to see your pup soon! As a student training for a fall passage along El Camino, I like to get outside and explore as much as possible! I'm an avid birder and particularly love trail hikes, though I make sure to leave the binos at home when there's furry company. As an early bird/night owl (and on summer vacation!) my schedule is flexible and can readily be adjusted to accommodate last-minute requests. I hope to meet you soon! I was born into a home with a beagle, 25 pounds of guile and cunning. Two decades past, hounds have trained me well. All doors will be closed, gates latched, bags kept out of reach. Raisins? Never heard of them.
“Onyekachi is amazing! She took the time to really get to know my dog and communicates frequently, which gives me so much peace of mind. My dog is a senior and will be staying alone for the first time ever, so I was naturally nervous. Thanks to Onyekachi’s thoughtful drop-in visits and attentive care, I feel confident that my dog will be safe, comfortable, and very well cared for.”

“Gabriella was great! She worked really hard to make sure our cat was comfortable. Always on time and very communicative. She sent lots of pictures and let us know how our cat was doing. Will definitely book her again!”
“Julia was amazing watching our cats for the weekend! She was able to give oral medication twice daily to my cat without any issues. My cats seemed very happy throughout the visit and she sent lots of pictures. I will definitely be booking her again!”

“Samantha was so wonderful with my senior cat, Lenny! She gave him his pills everyday, gave him lots of pets and attention, and sent me a lot of pictures which I really appreciated. She’s also super communicative and easy to get in touch with. I will definitely book Samantha again as I came home to a happy and healthy cat.”

“I was so anxious to leave my kitty for the weekend and Arnelle did a fantastic job at soothing my nerves. She was the first sitter I booked through this app and was incredibly flexible in terms of all of the logistics. From the photos she sent of Mickey, I could tell he was thrilled to see her. Will certainly be booking with her again in the future!”

“Angie was absolutely amazing! I had to take a trip during spring break where my partner wasn’t able to get off of work. Angie let us change the needs of times with ease and was very understanding. We have a dog that can be a problem for some but for Angie he was completely easy going. Our dog made friends, went on great long walks to keep his energy exhausted and well cared for. Angie was even outstanding when we asked if she had availability for a last minute wedding to attend right after my trip. She could have said no or she was unable to last minute but she worked with us and made great suggestions for us to make a reservation. She even went through a trial run of day care with a car ride and our dog in her home, without us asking her to. Angie was very considerate and took the dog mom guilt out of my trip so I could enjoy it and come home to a less stress partner as well. Plus a very very happy dog!”

About: I moved to NYC about 3 years ago for college and started dog walking and sitting for a side job when I was a freshman. Have been doing it ever since and now I have my own apartment to upgrade to walking and boarding as well. I am a pet sibling myself and have dealt with caring for multiple breeds, ages, and sizes, even cats! I was mostly providing services on Wag in NYC and back home in Hawaii but am looking to expand to the awesome pet parents on Rover! I currently work full-time but my boss is very flexible with my schedules usually giving my days off in a row if there’s no help needed. My girlfriend is also a dog sitter and can help me if I have to work, so your animals are always with someone and in the best care. If I am not working I will be working full time for your animals! Currently I have no other pets or animals in the unit. Our building is very secure with elevator access to support any older animals. My apartment is also right next to Prospect Park offering a lot of play area and routes to walk.

“Kate was terrific! From the moment Bob met her he responded positively to her calm & assertive demeanor. She is one of very few walkers we've met who knows how to lead a dog on a leash without any tension or letting the dog sidewalk surf. We were very happy to know Bob was in capable, conscientious and caring hands. Would definitely use Kate for future walking & feeding needs!”

About: I do this to give a helping hand to other dog owners. I have taken care of my Misty since the age of 8weeks, who is fully potty trained. I have 8 years of experience sitting mostly small to medium size dogs I am looking for ways to meet new fur friends and pawrents alike. Misty is extremely friendly enjoys companionship and loves to run and play especially with other dogs. I enjoy the outdoors and having the opportunity to provide a safe, pet friendly, clean, comfortable and loving experience to your pup to alleviate any stress and worry is our top priority. All pups in my care will be treated like family and given all the attention he/she deserves, along with exercise and activities ensuring they are happy and content during your absence. I am currently available on the weekends only. Feel free to message me any special schedule requests I will try my best to accommodate. I work a hybrid schedule. I enjoy walking. I live in a very walkable neighborhood. Misty and I enjoy daily 2 mile walks exploring parks and neighborhoods. If allowed we visit dog parks frequently.
“Rachelle was such a great sitter - provided lots of photos and did a fantastic job monitoring my anxiety-prone cat. She was so communicative so I never worried. Not only did she take great care of my boy, but also was considerate when it came to cleaning. What a great experience!”

“Ashley did a good job of taking care of my kitty while I was away. Our current foster cat is a little shy so it did take her a few days for him to trust her and let her pet him, but in the end, he warmed up and enjoyed some cuddles. Ashley was very responsive anytime I messaged her but she did often forget to end her visits via the app.”
“Dave is such a delightful human. He's very reliable and communicative. He took such great care of our cat while we were away. I definitely recommend him for your pet sitting needs!”

Alexander visited my dog Sonic for a brief period, but during that time he was kind, attentive, and took amazing care of him. I could tell he really cared about Sonic. I one hundred percent recommend booking with him. I know he’ll give your pet the same attention and love he gave Sonic.

Esther was great with communication and taking care of our puppy Chutney! She was very thoughtful and attentive to our home and baby. Chutney can be a little shy at first until he opens up and Esther was so considerate giving him his space and waiting until he was comfortable to play with her. We will absolutely book with Esther again.

Nora has been amazing!!! I almost do not want to post this because I don’t want you all to steal her from me. But all of the dogs in the world deserve someone like Nora to take them on walks. She’s so communicative, trustworthy, and attentive. This is my first experience with Rover, and she’s made me feel so comfortable each day she takes my dog for a walk. Could not recommend her more.

Laura was fantastic with Ember! She took great care of her and adapted to her needs, even hand feeding her kibbles when Ember wouldn't eat 🥹. Ember had a great time with Laura and was a happy dog when I got back from my trip. I highly recommend Laura and would book her again!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brooklyn choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Brooklyn with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
