“Kate was terrific! From the moment Bob met her he responded positively to her calm & assertive demeanor. She is one of very few walkers we've met who knows how to lead a dog on a leash without any tension or letting the dog sidewalk surf. We were very happy to know Bob was in capable, conscientious and caring hands. Would definitely use Kate for future walking & feeding needs!”

About: Hi there! Here's a quick intro to my skillset: • 11+ years dog sitting, walking, & boarding • Personal & professional experience with caring for dogs of every age, including puppies and seniors • Ability to administer oral, topical, & injectable medications • Familiarity with crate, leash & potty training methods • Knowledge of basic grooming, including poodles/double-coats I hope to see your pup soon! As a student training for a fall passage along El Camino, I like to get outside and explore as much as possible! I'm an avid birder and particularly love trail hikes, though I make sure to leave the binos at home when there's furry company. As an early bird/night owl (and on summer vacation!) my schedule is flexible and can readily be adjusted to accommodate last-minute requests. I hope to meet you soon! I was born into a home with a beagle, 25 pounds of guile and cunning. Two decades past, hounds have trained me well. All doors will be closed, gates latched, bags kept out of reach. Raisins? Never heard of them.
“Sami was so great with our foster kitty! She was reliable, thorough and very good at communicating. Our cat is very shy and Sami took the time to try to make him as comfortable as possible. I definitely recommend her!”
“Ameera was very kind and patient with my shy elderly kitty Haiko, who is 18 and doesn’t hear well. Ameera got Haiko to stand on her lap and accept pets which Haiko doesn’t usually do with strangers. Will definitely book Ameera again!”
“Stefanie was wonderful! My kitty loved her and she did a great job watching over my baby while I was gone. I trust her and absolutely will be reaching out to her next time I need a cat sitter!”

“Emily did amazing taking care of our kitten! Sent pictures and descriptions of the visit & how Winnie was doing with every visit, and always went above and beyond. Thank you so so much!!”

“Taylor did a great job looking after our cats over the holidays. She followed my overly detailed instructions to the letter, sent excellent updates and pictures, and really made us feel comfortable leaving the boys in her care. We'd love to have her look after our cats again if she's available in the area.”

“Alexandra was extremely thorough and communicative. She took great care of my puppy on such a short visit, and Loved seemed very excited and thrilled to meet her. Would happily hire again if she’s open to it!”

“Samantha is a wonderful pet sitter. She is extremely communicative and caring, and provides thorough updates that go above and beyond those of most pet sitters I’ve met. She is a reliable and helpful person and showed my cat Biscuit lots of love.”

“Hanna was very communicative and took great care of our cat! She took plenty of pictures and made sure Bonnie got some love and play along with her food during her drop ins.”

About: Ever since I was young I have adored animals. Growing up my family and I would feed and care for many of our neighborhood’s stray cats. As I grew older I eventually started occasionally sitting for friends and family’s pets. With time my skills, knowledge and care have grown, and I truly love getting to know each animal’s unique personality! I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet like my own—lots of love, attention, and care tailored to what they need most. I recently graduated from college and am taking a gap year before continuing my education. At the moment I am not working during the week so my schedule is pretty flexible, especially on the weekends. I’m also open to traveling so I can tend to all of your sweet fur babies’ needs anytime and anyplace! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely and make sure your fur babies feel secure and cared for. I keep a calm, pet-friendly environment with no hazards, and I’m attentive to things like closed doors, gates, and leash safety during walks. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. If anything seems off—behavior, appetite, energy—I’ll let you know right away.
“Lynn was amazing with my 2 kitties!. She was available last minute for a family emergency, and always kept me updated during each visit with pictures and texts. My cats really warmed up to her - especially my super shy one. I would definitely request Lynn again to cat sit!”

“Lenford is reliable, trustworthy, and checked in on my senior pup with care and attention! He definitely understands how to interact with weird/spicy rescues too. Thank you Lenford!”

About: Hi there! As a dog caretaker, I am warm, patient, communicative, and incredibly detail-oriented. No amount of information is too much information—please share whatever will help you and your furry baby feel cared for. I began my journey by taking care of a friend’s husky mix puppy two years ago and have been dog-sitting ever since! The feedback I often receive is that even the most hyper active dogs become calmer in my presence overtime. My schedule is fairly flexible because I am in the arts! I can work with your busy schedule and coordinate a time that works best for you both. In your home, I like to replicate the dog’s usual routine. I am very vigilant and like to keep with up with their pace. I am willing to work with you to support any of your friend’s special needs, nuances or quirks.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life — growing up with them at home gave me a deep understanding of their needs and personalities. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large dogs, for friends and family through walks, drop-ins, and home stays. As a remote-working attorney, I bring the same reliability and attention to detail to pet care that I do to my professional life. Your pup will always be in trustworthy, attentive hands. I work fully remote, which means I’m home all day and able to give dogs consistent attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, walks, drop-ins, and daycare — my flexible schedule makes it easy to accommodate your routine. I live in a spacious Brooklyn townhome with plenty of room for dogs to move around comfortably. We’re just a 5-minute walk from Prospect Park, so boarded or daycare dogs get real outdoor time with open grass and space to run. I’m experienced with both small and large breeds and know how to create a calm, safe environment for dogs whether I’m hosting at my place or visiting yours.
Brooklyn dog parents share their Rover experiences
Omolayo has looked after our very shy dog twice now and she’s done a great job! He has been very comfortable when we return and all instructions have been followed. She even says hello to our senior kitty if she decides to come out! We will book with Omolayo again.

Nina was so good with my dogs. She was so sweet, kind and went by all the details I sent her (they're my babies so there were plenty details lol). Even in the rain, she got my non-rain loving Mini Dachshund outside to try & potty. She sent sweet pics of them which helped ease my mind while I was away. I'll def book her again.

I really enjoyed booking with Tamar! I have a fairly large breed dog in a great Pyrenees, and she had mentioned that she had a backgrounds with large dogs, so it felt like a perfect fit! He took a two hour nap when they got home from said walk so I can tell they were moving at a good pace! Most importantly, you can tell that Tamar genuinely loves animals and I’m sure will give any dog the same love and care as she did my dog Osho.
