“My Second time using her she’s Absolutely wonderful! She was so sweet, patient, and caring with Zola. You can tell she genuinely loves animals. Zola was comfortable with her, which made me feel completely at ease. She was also reliable, respectful, and communicated well. I’m very happy with her service and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker. Thanks again”

“Cadence did a great job of taking care of Martin. He even opted not to tear apart various random objects prior to my return, which means he must have already spent considerable energy playing during her visits! She sent me some great photos too!”

About: I got my first pet at the age of 5. I’ve raised dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and bearded dragons. I have done basic training with not only my dogs but friends and neighbors as well. I have rescued a few dogs from the streets and rehomed them. I used to do pet boarding for friends and associates. I used to volunteer at an animal clinic where I took care of cats and dogs that were up for adoption for 4 years. I’ve also done horse back riding where I groomed and rode both when I was younger and more recently as an adult. I used to do dog walking where I worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I had my first dog for 15 years, towards the end of his time here, I had to administer medication and assist with mobility. I currently have a full time job with a schedule that changes every week. I know my schedule anywhere between a week to a month in advance so I can properly plan for pet care. I also have an active household where your pet will not be left unattended for no more than 2-4 hours of the day. Also depending on when I’m notified I can arrange my days off to have at least 4 days in a row off to provide 24hr service. In my own home they have free rein to roam. I have a bunch of treats so I usually ask if there are dietary restrictions, and I have a park nearby where I take my dogs for exercise, or on a lighter day let them out in the backyard. If I am working in a clients home it depends on what rules they have set. I usually speak to the parent in advance to find out if a towel is available for messy days, if I can give rewards, or even offer playtime inside the home, and much more. I cater to each client differently depending on what the pet needs are.
“I've had the pleasure of having Rachelle as my sitter for a while now. This is my first puppy and unfortunately, it seems I picked the sickly puppy from the breeder as he's had many issues. However, that never stopped Rachelle. She has been a joy who has been my support when my puppy needs additional care and patience. If you want someone who proactive, communicative, and kind then look no further.”

“Ashley is amazing!! She was super communicative and understanding about my senior cat, Penny, being moody, and she was able to fit me in last minute for the holidays. Penny was happy and purring when I got home, so I know she was well taken care of! Ashley made sure my trip was stress-free, and I will definitely be booking again!!”

“Dale was a fantastic sitter for our kitty! He was super resourceful when there was an issue with our door on the first day. Dale is a great communicator and often shared notes and pictures that made me smile and laugh. I had no doubt Lucy was well taken care of and entertained! We plan to use him again in the future when we need a sitter.”

I’m active, attentive, and always focused on making sure every pup feels safe, happy and well cared for. I’d love the opportunity to give your dog some exercise, attention, and plenty of love while you’re away! I’m currently an aspiring performer originally from Australia, looking for some puppy love while missing my own pets! I have a flexible part time work schedule and can be readily available! I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every dog like they’re my own. I also live just 1 minute from Prospect Park, making it easy to provide plenty of fresh air, exercise, and fun in a beautiful, dog friendly space.
“Onyekachi is amazing! She took the time to really get to know my dog and communicates frequently, which gives me so much peace of mind. My dog is a senior and will be staying alone for the first time ever, so I was naturally nervous. Thanks to Onyekachi’s thoughtful drop-in visits and attentive care, I feel confident that my dog will be safe, comfortable, and very well cared for.”

“Lenford is reliable, trustworthy, and checked in on my senior pup with care and attention! He definitely understands how to interact with weird/spicy rescues too. Thank you Lenford!”

“Hanna is amazing! She took great care of my cats and even noticed one of their lips was swollen making sure to keep an eye on it. Will definitely book her in the future :)”

“Lynn was amazing with my 2 kitties!. She was available last minute for a family emergency, and always kept me updated during each visit with pictures and texts. My cats really warmed up to her - especially my super shy one. I would definitely request Lynn again to cat sit!”

“Alexandra did a great job taking care of my shy kitty! She was very patient with my pet and followed my cat's lead on socializing, which I really appreciated. Alexandra was also flexible and accommodating when my sitting and travel plans changed, so I felt very comfortable that my pet was getting the care she needed while I was away. Thanks, Alexandra!”

“Reliable and super friendly, communication is excellent and very very flexible! My plans changed a few times but Ella was amazing at accommodating last minute requests. She sends lots of photos and updates and I know my dog loves her!”

About: Hi, I’m Onyx! 🐾 I’m a Chicago native, New Yorker, journalist, and lifelong animal lover. Caring for animals has always been one of the most grounding parts of my life, and being a dog mom to my 60-lb Staffy mix, Reese, has given me years of hands-on experience understanding the personalities, routines, and quirks that make every pet different. I’m the kind of sitter who genuinely enjoys getting to know an animal—not just making sure they’re fed and walked, but making sure they feel safe, comfortable, stimulated, and loved while you’re away. I’m attentive to routines and instructions, and I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can have peace of mind while you’re apart. I’m especially comfortable with energetic dogs who love to play, explore, and get plenty of exercise. I’m an active person myself, so long walks, runs, playtime, and keeping a pup entertained are right up my alley. I also have a serious collection of dog toys at home, so there’s no shortage of ways to keep a four-legged guest busy! Whether your pet needs an adventure buddy, a midday break, some extra cuddles, or simply a calm and reliable person to keep them company, I’d love to help. I treat every pet in my care like they’re my own—and I know how much trust that takes. Can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! 🐶💛 I’m currently unemployed so outside of caring for my own dog, I have more time than ever to care for more pups while their parents are traveling. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or theirs, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow their instructions closely—from feeding and walks to medications, supplements, playtime, and bedtime routines. I’m also happy to provide regular photo and video updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. In my home, I make sure pets have a comfortable, pet-friendly space where they can relax and get plenty of attention and enrichment. I have lots of toys and love taking dogs outside for walks or trips to the park when appropriate. I’m also attentive to each pet’s individual personality and boundaries—whether they’re energetic and playful or prefer a quieter environment with lots of cuddles. After years of caring for my own dog, Reese, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I treat every animal in my care with that same level of patience, attention, and responsibility.
“Ameera took good care of my 9 yr old cat Dez (via drop-in visits) while I was away for a few days. She was a very good communicator and good at following directions… and beyond! She not only fed my cat and cleaned his litter box but also made him feel loved with pets & head scratches - his fav! Her daily pictures and updates gave me such relief while I was away.”

“GOATed sitter, cool guy, cats like him more than me. Left very detailed messages each day with lots of pictures and videos. Made our trip a lot better knowing the cats were safe and happy”

“What a dream! Harley was so wonderful with our dog Wallace and took the best care of him while we were away. Harley is thoughtful, organized, attentive and so friendly. Looking forward to having Wallace's new BBF back :)”

Regina was great with Ruthie. Ruthie can be stubborn at first and Regina got quickly into her good graces. She kept me up to date throughout my vacation and took initiative when difficulties arose. Happy to know Ruthie has another friend to look over her in the neighborhood!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
