“Thank you so much for taking such great care of my cat. Lauren is always a pleasure to work with. My cat usually doesn’t like people, but she really enjoys her company.”

“This was my first time having Rosanna take care of my cats, and I was a bit nervous since one of my cats had recently experienced a urinary blockage and was on a special diet. He's also very sensitive to changes in his environment. However, Rosanna worked wonders! Within just a few days, Tuxi came out of his hiding spot and was greeting her at the door. In addition to looking after the cats, Rosanna also watered my plants, gave me helpful tips for encouraging Tuxi to eat his new food, and even helped with managing their hairballs. I would definitely trust Rosanna with my cats again in the future. Thank you so much, Rosanna!”

“Vanessa took great care of our cat while we were away! Sent us so many videos to stay connected which we greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend.”

“Petros did everything I asked him to do for my cats. Amazing job 🙌🏽 He also did meet and greet beforehand to make sure that all goes well when I leave which is commendable. I will surely rebook him again.”
“Brianna is a secret cat whisperer! My very shy cat came out from hiding spot right away! She is reliable, great on communication, and takes great pics! I appreciate her help while I'm away and will recommend her yo anyone who needs cat sitter!”

About: Hi! I came across Rover and loved the idea of being a sitter and walker. I understand how important your pets are to you. I have a dog myself and love her so much. I am reliable and great with animals. I have been a walker and sitter for my friends and family. I am very flexible with my schedule and love going on walks with dogs. I’ve been around pets my entire life and enjoy spending time with animals. I have experience with a variety of breeds. For example, I have a cockapoo and my aunt has a chihuahua. Overall, I greatly appreciate animals and would love walking your dog b/c dogs are the cutest beings! I am currently free in the mornings and evenings. I am pretty flexible with the scheduling. I would love to help out as best as I can, I love working weekends! My dog is pee wee pad trained so she’s able to use the pad whenever and I’ll clean up the pad and change it after use. For my clients, it usual varies how each pet is taken care of but I’m open to following the pets usual routine to maintain a comfortable and safe environment.

About: I can walk a reactive dog, feed a resource guarder, and find the right approach to a bite-risk fearful pup. I am a professional dog trainer and behaviorist with over 3 years of experience. I worked at a board and train facility and learned everything about basic dog health information to advanced ways to train and fulfill them. I enjoy taking care of their needs, play with them, and even help them with behavioral issues. If other sitters/walkers turned you down, I am here to help you. I won't just take care of them day to day, but also help them overcome their issues, fears, and inappropriate outlets for their emotions. Happy pets make me happy, let's discuss how I can take care of your furry baby. Currently I have an open schedule so it would easily fit into my daily routine. I would be able to tend to them at any time. I am respectful of the pets need. If they are active and playful, I would be glad to play with them, take them on walks, and do some training to engage their mind. For pets that are more docile, I would be happy to give them more pets and attention with less exercise. Happy to discuss your pets needs with you and make sure we follow it.

About: My family always had dogs growing up so I have a lot of experience with dogs of various temperaments, sizes, and needs. At one point we had one big dog and two little dogs who didn’t get along so I am also familiar with taking care of dogs who don’t get along and how to keep them separated if needed. I have also lived with and elderly cat and a small kitten so I am familiar with cat care as well! I am in nursing school full time Tuesday-Thursday but can take care of your pets before/after classes as well as my days off. Open to overnight care as well as drop ins for walks, pets, and feeding. I will take care of your animals as if they were my own. Let me know of any special instructions and I will be sure to follow them. Excited to meet your pets!

About: I grew up surrounded by both cats and dogs, which gave me a deep, lifelong understanding of pet behavior. For the past four years, I have provided reliable pet care for friends, family, and neighbors and more recently I’ve received glowing 5-star reviews on other platforms. Whether it is keeping up with an energetic puppy, giving a senior cat their space, or sticking to a precise feeding schedule, I adapt quickly to what makes your pet feel most comfortable. I treat every animal with the patience, respect, and love they deserve! I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care throughout the day. I easily plan my routine around feeding schedules, required medication times, and daily exercise needs. Whether your pet needs high-energy play, patient companionship, or strict adherence to a medication routine, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment so you can travel or work with absolute peace of mind. I look forward to meeting your beloved furry family members!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New York
Sana was great as always! She took great care of our two cats and was communicative with us throughout (ex. she promptly flagged when the automated litter box was stuck in an incorrect position, which we very much appreciated). We have booked with her several times now and she has consistently been reliable, attentive, and overall great with both us and the cats. We always feel comfortable knowing they're in great hands with her.

Leigh was amazing with our 3 year old cat! He was much more relaxed when we came back from vacation this time, and we could tell he had been well cared for. Leigh was great at communicating and came quite early in the morning so she could spend time with him during his most active part of the day. Before meeting her, we weren’t sure we’d be able to find someone who could help us at that time, so we really appreciated her flexibility. We’d love to work with Leigh again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him!

My cat Indy was well taken care of by Casey while I was out-of-town. She made sure Indy was fed & watered, and tended her litterbox. A nice note and pictures from her visit ensured me that Casey was the right choice to look after my pet. Kind, reliable, and communicative, I will definitely utilize Casey in the future and recommend her for your pet sitting needs.

Absolutely wonderful experience! They took such great care of both of our cats while we were away and sent detailed updates and lots of photos after every visit. They were attentive, reliable, and handled everything with care. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing the cats were happy and well cared for. We’d happily book with them again! ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
