“Jolea took SUCH good care of my girl. She was very detailed and attentive, and let us know everything that happened during their time together. My pup was very comfortable with her, it was apparent!! I absolutely recommend! Thank you so much Jolea!”

“Dong always does a great job with my Bean! I appreciate him and how easy he makes things for us, 10/10, and I look forward to re-booking him again for our next vacation :-)”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life! Family and friends have relied on me to take care of all kinds of needs for their pets, such as walking, feeding, bathing, and playing with them. Recently, as part of my move away from home, I’ve provided pet sitting and home sitting care for cats and dogs, which has been a bonus because I love animals! I currently work 2-3 days out of the week and during the school year, I am a university student with classes only 3 days out of the week, meaning I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets needs. I always make sure pets have plenty of water, play time, and are attended to according to their needs. My own pets have health problems, which I have no issues maintaining.
“Rebecca was great with our cat, Daphne. She took care of her for 13 days through drop-in visits. She sent photos everyday and was always on time to check on our kitty.”

About: Hi, My name is Ana. I love animals. I have taken care of pets of friends, family and have my own cat name Miffy. I am happy to assist you with your pet needs such as walking, feeding, play time, litter cleaning and giving your pet companionship while you are away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable and that you feel at ease. I currently have a flexible schedule for pet care. On Tuesdays through Thursday, i'm available in the afternoons and the rest of the days i am free. If needed, I’m happy to accommodate pet owners’ schedules to find times that work best for their pet’s routine and comfort. My number one goal is safety and comfort. I have a cat on my own, I understand how important it is to make your pet feel comfortable in their own space. In your home, i will make sure to go base on their routines such as feeding time, playing time, walking time etc.
“Sydney was absolutely great with my boy Zion. She is very good with pets who need specified patience, attention, and care. I was initially nervous doing this for the first time but Sydney was very communicative, responsive, and patient. I’m relieved to have a new, trustworthy friend for my boy.”

“Very thorough care and excellent communication! My cat seemed very comfortable with Kaylee from the beginning even though she doesn’t often warm up to people quickly”

“Jocelyn was perfect to take care of our cat Stan for a week! She was adorable and nice with him! I recommend her 200% to take care of your pet 😊”

“This is our second booking with Katherine she’s always so wonderful with my senior cat and he’s very shy with most people. She’s also super responsive and detailed. I never worry when I know she’ll be around!”

“My cat has quite a few special needs, and Kobi did a great job making sure he was well taken care of! She sent pictures everyday either playing or hanging out with my cat which was awesome. I highly recommend her for all your cat sitting needs!”

“My fur babies love them 🥹 One of them, Mia, is especially shy but she feels so comfortable with Caro & Kat. She lets go with them. I can’t express how soothing it feels to have them as cat sitters. Ty both so much for being so sensitive and attentive to Mia, Oli and Dulce! My heart 🥹☺️🫶”

“Andrew has been great with our puppy. We were apprehensive to leave him for the first time with anyone but our fears were lifted with how attentive Andrew is with providing updates and his real care for our dog. Definitely a good choice!”

“A fantastic sitter, professional, organized, and thorough. My cats, who are terrified of people, really warmed up to her. And the photos were lovely to see while I was so far away. Thank you so much Jessica!”

“Our boys seemed pretty comfortable with Woonsan. He made sure our boys were well fed on time and cleaned the litters properly. He also followed our instructions so we didn't have to worry about anything. Will definitely be availing his services again.”

About: I’ve always had family pets, and Kaiser has been with me now for 10 years. I love meeting new animals, and I’ve never been intimidated by size or behavior, they are all friends to me! I like sitting with pets and giving them good cuddles and scratches when they warm up to me. Besides all that, I am highly reliable and available to communicate at all times. Right now I am working fully from home, and I make my own hours so I can organize my day around your pet’s needs. I can guarantee walks for dogs at least twice a day, certainly more as needed. My rented space does not have yard access, so boarding would be fully indoors between walks. I also have two cats and a dog, and while they all get along famously, if you’re uncertain how well your pet would share the space with mine, we can try a test meeting, or else I’m happy to do drop-in visits at your home.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Jersey City is $25
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Jersey City
Antwan took great care of our cat and dog, since he has experience with both. Accurately documented their check-ins, gave Alfie extra walks and even took some time to shoe Coconut some tricks during playtime! Overall impressed with how happy they are after Antwans drop-ins!

Tez is amazing! My cats were feral, so they take some time for them to warm up to people and Tez has taken her time over the years to become best friends with them. We can barely pick up our cats and she was just recently able to pick up one of them so I think that speaks volumes to how good she is with cats. She has also been super nice in watering our plants a few times and bringing up our packages while we are away. I highly highly recommend Tez, your cats are missing out if you’re not using her as a sitter! One of our cats was even on Lexapro for some time and Tez was really good with giving him pills.

Jessica has been the BEST auntie to our little Otter. We have booked her every time we go away and always know that our precious fur baby is well cared for in our absence. Jessica has a warm, gentle energy that Otter took to immediately, and he's always happy when she comes to visit him. She has always been very responsive, reliable, and does all that is asked of her ... Even when your pet becomes a bit of a diva! 😂 Thank you for everything, Jessica!!

Alyssa has looked after Albus a few times now. Albus looks happy and comfortable in the many photos she sends during visits. Alyssa is reliable and respectful of my home and follows instructions for feeding and playtime very well. Highly recommend Alyssa for your cat sitting needs!

Reggie was greatly taken care of during this drop-in visit booking! As he's going through a couple ailments right now, we were worried to leave him in anothers care. However, not only did they give him lots of love and playtime, they also were able to give him eye medication, and inhaler, and his steroid pill! They also sent over many photos, updates, and were incredibly communicative. I will be rebooking, thank you for taking such great care of Reggie <3

Jolea is an excellent car sitter: kind to animals and people, reliable, responsible, polite, and communicative. This is the second time I hired Jolea to cat-sit our old cat during our 10 + days away from home, and will continue to hire her down the road. I highly recommend Jolea J., A +++

Jessica was extremely accommodating and really loving towards our senior cat Tarini! Our cat loves attention and it was so good to hear that Jessica keenly played kibble "fetch" during the drop in visits on top of checking in on her litter & water. Highly recommend Jessica as a cat sitter! :)

We were nervous to leave our kitties with a sitter for the first time, but Katie and Carol did such an amazing job with them! They were attentive, gave detailed updates every day, and were very patient with our cats. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing that our cats were well taken care of! We would recommend Katie & Carol any day!

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
