Jadis was an excellent choice to watch my two dogs while I was away on vacation. From the very beginning, she made everything feel effortless…communicating clearly, showing genuine care, and keeping me updated so I never felt unsure about how my dogs were doing. My dogs were calm and happy when I returned, which says a lot about the attention and routine Jadis maintained. I could tell they were comfortable in Jadis’s presence. I’m genuinely grateful to have found someone trustworthy. I’d absolutely book her again for future trips and would recommend Jadis to anyone looking for a dependable, caring dog sitter.

About: I’m big on personalized, one-on-one care and giving each pet the attention they deserve. I’m very attentive, detail-oriented, and observant of body language, so I try to understand each pet’s comfort level, energy, and routine rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. As a dog owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Because my work is contract-based, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time during the week for pet care. I love animals, and as a dog parent myself, I’ve kept my availability open during times I know are especially helpful for other pet parents. I’ve built walks and drop-in visits into my routine and like to keep my schedule manageable so I can be reliable, attentive, and fully present with each pet. I know how important trust is when someone is coming into your home and caring for your pet. I’m respectful of your space, attentive to instructions, and very mindful of a pet’s body language and comfort level. I aim to provide thoughtful, reliable care so your pet feels safe and well looked after in their familiar environment. Happy to offer a free meet and greet beforehand so you and your pet can feel comfortable and see if it’s a good fit.

Jade was absolutely incredible. I have 4 crazy Aussies that are full of energy but also full of love. Jade paid close attention to all my directions and my dogs were so happy to have her come see them every day. She gave them lots of love and worked on tricks with them to keep them engaged. I would recommend Jade to anyone who needs pet sitting or dog walking. She was wonderful.

Nicolle was a wonderful sitter to my cat while I was out on a holiday. She took great care of her while also making sure my home was in a good state for my cat. She is very caring and so loving towards my cat. She played with her, brushed her, petted her. She also made sure all the details were taken care of. Will recommend her and take her services once again :)

About: I've been pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. Apart from my current two dogs, I've also raised three previous dogs from being a puppy into their senior years. I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement training, every dog deserves the utmost love and care. I own my own business and set my own hours so I can accommodate anyone's pet care needs. I'm fine with short notice requests and can work with anyone's schedule! I have two dogs that can run around freely in my fenced in backyard. They each get at least two solo shorter walks (about 15 minutes around the park we live next to) per day and an additional longer walk (around 45-60 minutes) once my girlfriend gets home from work where we walk both together.

About: Our Why? We have Huskies, and while still offering our service to other breeds, we highlight that it takes a fellow Husky owner to understand what a Husky needs. Despite their mischievous shenanigans, Houdini escape attempts, endless fur-sheddings, high-pitched vocalizations, bubbly, energized personalities, and hyperactive frolicking, we adore huskies. We understand finding experienced, dependable, loving, and trustworthy caregivers for your Husky isn't easy. That's why we are here to help. We currently have two friendly young huskies (one male and one female- fixed and crate-trained). We also have experience with English bulldogs, Sharpeis, Chow-Chows, Labs, Doodles, and Boxers. We only offer care for dogs based upon the comfortability of the match to our pet-care style and demeanor. We love our pets as we will love yours. We are focused on weekends, holidays, and summer care. We are open to possible weekday arrangements if your dog is crate-trained. Before booking us, a drop-by visit is required to test the compatibility of all humans and dogs. A few things: Special note-while we have never owned a French bulldog, we are particularly interested in learning to care for this breed. Your pet must be spayed or nurtured to receive boarding in our home. Also, we are sorry but we cannot offer care for full or mixed Pit Bull breeds. How does pet care fit into your daily and weekly lives? Our pets receive two meals a day, comprising dry food and water. Our pets are crate-trained and remain crated when owners are away. Most of the time, there is an adult in the house. Our dogs can access a large fenced backyard with green grass and trees. Our dogs walk with owners through nearby Branch Brooke Park and visit the dog park almost daily. Our dogs are crated during adult meal times and sleep in the main bedroom on the floor, side couch, or end of bed at night. We maintain a clean home and provide puppy pads during inclement weather to avoid mud and chaos. Pets have access to some rooms, but not all rooms in the house. Toys and treats are provided regularly. Linens on beds where animals may sleep are washed and switched out regularly. Our gate is blocked off on both sides because huskies are known for escaping. Our pets have ID collars and ID dog tags and wear GPS trackers during the day. Our dogs are up-to-date on immunizations and have been spayed/neutered. We don't hit our dogs with our hands or objects but use basic word commands. Training dogs is always a work in progress. They are both loved for their uniqueness. We only plan to care for pets in our home. We have a large and welcoming home.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. Since moving to the U.S., I’ve also helped friends by caring for their pets in my home while they were away. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel safe and comfortable. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate quality time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays for drop offs and walks, and I always make sure pets are fed, exercised, played with, and given lots of affection throughout the day. Im flexible so i can have pets over my place as well as the client place. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. Having been a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust and routine are. I pay close attention to each pet’s needs, follow instructions carefully, and make sure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi! I’m a graduate student with a flexible schedule, looking for work that’s both enjoyable and rewarding, and caring for dogs is the perfect fit. I’m a true animal lover and a proud dog parent to my two pups, Salem and Infinity, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. Whether your dog needs a walk, some playtime, or a quick check-in during the day, I’m attentive, patient, and committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. With time between classes, I’m available and reliable when you need an extra hand. I’d love to care for your pup like they’re my own! 🐶💛 Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine as a graduate student with a flexible schedule. I have time between classes that I dedicate to walking, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with dogs. As a dog owner myself, caring for pets is already part of my daily life, so adding additional pups into my routine feels natural and enjoyable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine consistent so they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, and receive attention and care based on their needs and personality. I’m very mindful of safety, checking that doors, gates, and yards are secure before and after visits, and ensuring the environment is clean and accessible for the pet. About: Hello! My name is Emma, and I’m a 24-year-old dog lover and dog mom to my dog, Marcus. Dogs have been a huge part of my life since high school, and over the years I’ve cared for both my own pets and dogs belonging to friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from playful puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and care. I also helped care for my family’s German Shepherd, Kookie, who taught me so much about the love, loyalty, and responsibility that come with being a pet owner. I understand that every dog is unique and deserves individualized care. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is always to treat your pet the same way I treat my own dog—with patience, kindness, love, and plenty of attention. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member so I’ll do everything in my power to provide a safe, positive, and caring experience for both you and your pet. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I currently work part-time as a physical therapy aide and attend school part-time in the evenings, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, doggy day care, and house sitting in your home. My class schedule is Monday and Tuesday evenings, and I work Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as well as Saturday mornings, which means I am available during many daytime hours and can provide reliable care before and after my commitments. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, so I do my best to follow feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication instructions, and any other preferences you have for your pet. I am dependable, communicative, and happy to send photo and video updates so you can feel connected to your furry family member while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a walk, companionship during the day, or overnight care, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. Before every booking, I take the time to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, likes, dislikes, and any special needs they may have. I am comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and both small and large breeds. During walks and visits, I stay attentive to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort at all times. When caring for pets in your home, I treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care that I would want for my own. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away.

Joni was a wonderful sitter for Tigger! She communicated well throughout the stay and took great care of him — including giving him his medication and gently comforting him when he was scared. The only minor hiccup was with the Rover card check-in timing (either forgetting or tapping a bit too early), but that’s a small thing. Overall, I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
