“First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. She said Lilly was very sweet, that her daughter had fallen in love with her, and even one of her dogs had taken a liking to her. Teresa also said Lilly would be welcome back anytime. About: If you need a kind, positive dog sitter who loves walking a lot, here I am. My grooming certificate is a big plus in case you need nail trimming or having your dog brushed and dead hair removed. Since I work online, my day is flexible so I can walk with your dog and give your pet more attention. Also, waking up early is never a problem. You need to bring his/her food and favorite snacks. I'll give food that you provide according to your dog's schedule. Also, trying to make your dog feel safe is a must for me. His/her favorite toy would help a lot. So, if you could bring a few, it'd be great. I don't allow dogs on my bed. There is a comfy and soft mat.
About: Had a very aggressive dog when I was younger even lead me to getting bit pretty badly but I know dogs don’t know any better and I think they still deserve love and care no matter what which gives me experience with all types of dogs. About: Currently a medical student. I've been the primary care provider for our family dog and my best friend "Bama" for the past 11 years. I'm also the go-to friend and family dog sitter whenever the need arises. I have earned trust due to my love of life as a biologist and as a respected Eagle Scout. I know each life form has its own beautiful soul and should be treated with kindness and respect for that reason. I have pet care experience with dogs, cats, mice, and fish. I am currently a medical school, therefore, unemployed and have a lot of time to walk, play with, and give long belly scratches to furry friends. Animals make me extremely happy, so their happiness is also of utmost importance to me. Outside of my own personal experiences interacting with pets, I have also taken many courses in animal behavior and the biological basis of animal learning. I have a very solid understanding of why animals do the things they do and this allows me to adapt to whatever circumstances and/or needs of the pets or animals that I interact with. Whether that be crating a dog, training a rebellious puppy, or interactions with other dogs.

We were in contact for weeks before Max’s stay, and she took the time to answer all of my questions and make me feel completely comfortable. As a first-time Rover user, that meant so much to me. While I was away in Mexico, I never had to wonder how Max was doing. Justine sent regular updates with photos and videos, and it was obvious from every update that she genuinely cared about him.
