“Randi was great! She Took care of our two cats while we were out of town for the week. She made sure to take photos and keep us updated with how they were doing the whole time!”

About: While I'm new to Rover, I've spent years caring for dogs and other pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I've helped with feeding, walking, playtime, and giving pets attention while their owners were away. I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I'm dependable, patient, and excited to provide loving care for your furry family members. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I am available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and have the flexibility to dedicate my time to walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and pet sitting. I enjoy spending time with animals and always make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, exercise, and affection while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. In a client's home, I follow their pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and a clean environment. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to build trust and help them feel comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care and give pet owners peace of mind.
“Amanda took wonderful care of my sweet bunny girl while I was away. She followed all instructions carefully and was consistently on time for each visit. I especially appreciated that she removed her shoes upon entering the house and respected Holly’s environment. She sat calmly and quietly next to Holly’s playpen, which is exactly the kind of peaceful presence rabbits need. She was very pleasant, communicative, and attentive throughout the stay. I truly felt comfortable knowing Holly was in good hands, and I would absolutely book with Amanda again. Thank you Amanda, for giving me peace of mind while I was away!”

“Melissa was such a delight! She had to spend a few hours resolving an issue with the keys with the front desk, but she handled it professionally, which meant she stayed for way longer than the 30min slot. She also took excellent care of Canéle during several visits over a two-week period. I really appreciated reading her detailed notes and seeing the beautiful photos and videos she shared.”

“I am so thrilled to have found Rachel as my kitties’ sitter!!! I just recently learned about this app. I scrolled through a few profiles, and chose Rachel because of her proximity and fabulous reviews. For my first booking, I had her come over to meet my kitties so we become acquainted with her together. I felt immediate comfort with her. My boy cat went up to her right away. He can always tell a person’s vibe from the first moment. She greeted us all with her warm smile, I then showed her around and instructed her on how they like things. She got right to it! She hung out on the floor with them after feeding them and scooping their litterboxes. Because of my anxiety, I have never left my cats alone over night with anyone, but that fear has gone! My family and I are now free to go on vacations and weekend trips together because of Rachel! She sent me pictures of everything she did and documented every step of her visits. When we got back home, I knew my cats were so content that they didn’t even get up from their cat tree to greet us. They looked at us and went right back to sleep. 😆😂😅 Thanks to Rachel, they were well fed and unbothered. 💞 I am looking forward to many more bookings with her!!”

“I am so happy we found Candiance to check in on our doggy. She is so patient and understanding to our dog’s needs. She has great communication and it was easy for me to trust her to care for our dog.”

“She is absolutely the best! She was supposed to drop in for 30 minutes, but she spent several hours and even took my dog to the dog park because she knew I’m overwhelmed with the bar exam and moving🥹🥹🥹 I can’t thank her enough and highly recommend her.”

About: Hi, I’ve had many dogs my whole entire life even puppies from Yorkshire terrier, miniature Doberman pinscher and Chihuahua. I was also a nanny/caretaker during college so have plenty of caregiving experience with transporting children. I have a small 10 pound Chihuahua. She gets along with any type of breed of dog as long as your dog does not bite. She is super friendly and loves to be around all the pets. I work in finance from home and have all day to pay attention / watch carefully and play with your dog while working and also relaxing. Since my small 10 pound Chihuahua is fairly small I prefer dogs less than 40 pounds if coming to my home. Some exceptions for a little bit over 40 lb. My dog does not bite or bark and loves to play all day with other dogs . If I come to your home I can do any dog greater than 100lb. I have a well-kept apartment with a nice balcony and a dog park located on site in my building complex with a beautiful walkable path and grass area to play.

Let’s meet before-hand and make sure your pet is comfortable with me and their environment. I am a dog mom to a 1.5 year old mini dachshund female who I adore and had a chihuahua for 14 years. so rest assured I have a ton of experience caring for small to medium sized dog. I have also fostered a Havanese male rescue pup. I will send photos each day and as much as you’d like to ensure you are comfortable and feel secure with how your pet is doing while you’re away. I will ensure I follow all care instructions down to every last detail. I live in a dog friendly, air conditioned house in Secaucus, NJ. We have a private fully fenced in yard where your dog can run around and play. There are also many parks in the area for walks. My Home your rules; if your pet loves couch cuddles / sleeping with you at night we can certainly do the same, so they feel at home. Looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pet. Caring for dogs give me so much joy, so thank you for considering my profile! Please remember that we are caring for your family member and they will get the utmost care and attention during their stay. Although tips are not required, they are greatly appreciated as we go above and beyond to care for your beloved pet as our own. Please Note: For overnight boarding drop off we are not able to receive your pet before 8 am. For pick up, please book an additional night if pick up is after 3pm since that’s an additional full day of care. Thank you so much! I work from home in the marketing industry, so you can be sure that your pet will recieve the utmost love and attention with plenty of potty breaks as I will be with them all day long. My dog London would love a friendly playmate for the day. My Husband and I work from home so we will be home with your pet the majority of the day. We can provide potty breaks as often as every 4 hours. I live in a private house with a fenced in yard making play time fun and easy. I’m happy to crate your pet if we step out if that’s what they are used to or we can give them free reign if they are potty trained and trusted.
“Christella is the best. Don't hesitate, book her! She was so patient with my two puppies one of which is going through his a hole phase. I couldn't have found a better person to help out with them!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Secaucus
Alena was simply amazing with my cat Athena. She took care of her for over a week and always made sure she was happy and well cared for. After every drop-in, she would let me know how everything went, send me amazing pictures, and provide a detailed update. You can tell Alena truly loves animals. She’s caring, polite, and incredibly attentive. I felt completely at ease knowing Athena was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend Alena to anyone looking for a wonderful and reliable pet sitter. Thank you so much, Alena!

We are grateful that we found Rebecca as a drop-in sitter for our fur-baby Raphael, who is a very affectionate cat that needs some company when his family is away traveling. While sitting for us, Rebecca sent us lots of pictures, scooped litter, played with him, and checked his ears daily (as Raphael is prone to ear infections). We plan to hire her again for a longer sitting!

Excellent service! took care of my cat for my vacation, and the experience was wonderful. They were very punctual with the visits, kept the litter box spotless, and always left the food and water bowls clean. I received daily photos and updates, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away.

Deanna was very helpful by taking care of our 2 cats while we were out of town! She sent comments and pictures everyday to keep us updated on how they were doing, which was very sweet. We are so grateful to have someone there to give us peace of mind while gone. Thank you Deanna!!!

Tez is amazing! My cats were feral, so they take some time for them to warm up to people and Tez has taken her time over the years to become best friends with them. We can barely pick up our cats and she was just recently able to pick up one of them so I think that speaks volumes to how good she is with cats. She has also been super nice in watering our plants a few times and bringing up our packages while we are away. I highly highly recommend Tez, your cats are missing out if you’re not using her as a sitter! One of our cats was even on Lexapro for some time and Tez was really good with giving him pills.

Lauryn did a great job taking care of my cats. One of my cats is usually very shy and hides whenever someone visits, but he quickly warmed up to Lauryn and even spent time hanging out with her. This same cat can also create a mess, and Lauryn went above and beyond by cleaning up. Lauryn also shared photos and detailed notes through the Rover card, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated her care and would recommend her!

I couldn't be happier with Brynne’s work! She followed all of my instructions to the letter and truly went above and beyond to make sure Harley was well taken care of. It was so reassuring to see how well she engaged and played with my cat during her time here— Harley absolutely loved the attention. Her communication was excellent and gave me complete peace of mind. I would gladly book her services again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
