About: Experience walking and caring for dogs and cats. I have fostered several animals throughout college and have trained dogs of all ages. My own pet is AKC Caine Good Citizen Certified and I have a research background in dog Vet Care and can make adjustments to care based on breed and any current health issues. I make time to take my own pet out on adventures and I'd love to be able to take yours out for some fun as well! I'm vigilant of potential dangers with care for a pet outside of their home. I take notice of areas/ other pets to avoid and will physically step in to protect your pets boundaries.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, cats and dogs. I currently have a 14 year old Husky and 14 year old Shiba Inu. I’ve had the Shiba since he was born and my husky was a rescue since she was 1 year old. My goal in life is to eventually start a dog rescue because I have a lot of love to give. I will treat your pets like my own. My husband won’t let me adopt any more animals because we plan on moving out of the country in the next few years so this is how I get my animal fix. I work in aviation. When I am gone, I am gone and when I am home I am home all day and am looking to fill my day with visiting pets and running/walking dogs. I will care for your pet however is requested. If your pets need play time they will get it. If they need snuggles, they will get it. I’m good with both high and low energy pets. I have senior dog experience and medication/injection administration.
About: I treat dogs as real babies and children. I have had my dog Hachi for over 3 years now and understand the expectations and standards that I would require from someone caring for him. I intend to uphold those same standards when it comes to supervision, walks, feeding, playtime, and other various needs. I am in college working at a steakhouse part time roughly 3-4 nights a week. Looking for morning to mid-day gigs throughout the summer and partially when school begins again. I wake up at the same time every morning to walk and feed my dog and the same time every night. Both my dog and cat are fed twice a day with varying diets depending on their health needs. They are shown constant love and affection and my dog gets plenty of play time and time outside
About: I love dogs and understand that yours is part of your family. I have owned dogs for over 18 years (male german shepherd mix and female pitbull) and I know what makes them tick! I have experience walking fussy/reactive, even aggressive dogs, both big and small. I just can’t live without them. With reasonable notice, I am available pretty much all day long for dog walks and sits. I can always easily adjust my schedule and am very flexible when it comes to last minute arrangements. No issues moving dates around if my calendar is open. I have a fenced in yard and the house is plenty spacious. My goal is always to provide a safe and comfortable experience for your pet. My Labrador, Maizie, recently passed away, and Im now ready to be around dogs again. It's been a huge loss for me, and I currently can't have a dog where I live. I am in much need of some dog love. If you're looking for someone who is a true dog lover and will give a ton of love and attention to your pet, this includes any pets you have. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Secaucus
This was our first time having Deanna care for our two kitties and I am so happy that we found her. We were anxious to leave our fur babies to go on an overseas trip, but Deanna's well written and thoughtful updates truly put us at ease and it was clear that she read and followed our specific care instructions. I could see from the photos that the kitties were comfortable in her presence. It pleasantly surprised me that even my super shy one came out when she was there, and approached her more closely with each passing day. She understands that they have their individual personalities and respected that in her interactions with them. Deanna even went above and beyond when I asked her to leave nuts out each day for the baby squirrels that visit our deck. We were so pleased with her level of care and will definitely seek her out when the need arises in the future.

Melissa took great care of our cats during her first time sitting for us. Communication was smooth, and the cats were well cared for while we were away. She also went out of her way to bring in a bunch of packages and registry gifts that arrived, which we really appreciated. A very helpful and dependable sitter. Thank you!

Yisha was amazing! She took great care of Jesse and kept me updated the whole time I was away. He got his medicine on time and enjoyed getting brushed! I appreciated the pictures and details with each visit. I hope Yisha can take care of Jesse again! She’s fantastic!

This was my 4th time booking Amanda to care for Holly, and once again she was wonderful. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the animals she looks after. I always appreciate the updates and photos while I’m away, and it gives me peace of mind knowing Holly is in good hands. Highly recommend! Thank you Amanda 🙏🐇

Rachel has been our go-to pet sitter and she is really the best! One of our cats is very shy and usually hides from people but he really likes Rachel!!! We also very appreciate Rachel’s help clean the mess my cats create each time…Rachel sends a lot of photos and prepares very detailed Rover Card which we always look forward to reading when we are away. We are so grateful to have Rachel as our pet sitter and I’m sure the cats feel the same way!

huge thank you for taking such amazing care of Momo! Julia were always on time and communicative for the daily visits! Momo absolutely adored her, and honestly, getting those cute selfies of the two of you completely made my day! Thank you so much again for everything—you're wonderful! ❤️

Absolutely amazing experience. She was attentive, communicative, and clearly cared so much about my cats while I was away. I got consistent updates, photos, and could tell my cats felt comfortable and relaxed with her; which says a lot because they can be picky with people. She went above and beyond during the drop-in visits and gave me complete peace of mind. Reliable, kind, and genuinely great with animals. I would 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
