About: Hi, I’ve had many dogs my whole entire life even puppies from Yorkshire terrier, miniature Doberman pinscher and Chihuahua. I was also a nanny/caretaker during college so have plenty of caregiving experience with transporting children. I have a small 10 pound Chihuahua. She gets along with any type of breed of dog as long as your dog does not bite. She is super friendly and loves to be around all the pets. I work in finance from home and have all day to pay attention / watch carefully and play with your dog while working and also relaxing. Since my small 10 pound Chihuahua is fairly small I prefer dogs less than 40 pounds if coming to my home. Some exceptions for a little bit over 40 lb. My dog does not bite or bark and loves to play all day with other dogs . If I come to your home I can do any dog greater than 100lb. I have a well-kept apartment with a nice balcony and a dog park located on site in my building complex with a beautiful walkable path and grass area to play.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, including some reptiles! I currently take care of two cats and a sweet ball python. I’m great with cats and dogs, and I’m able to correctly give medicine and cut their nails if needed. I know how pets can be the most important part of our lives, and it’s our duty to love them and provide them the best service. I’m doing part time currently, so I’m available Wednesday and Thursday and Saturday and Sunday. I’m mostly available all day during that schedule for any activities! I live in an apartment with my two cats who if needed can be put in a separate room. I always like to sweep and vacuum all areas to avoid due to accumulate, I always like to give them treats an hour before meals, as well as clean their water and food bowls once a day

I also have my own large dog crate (42 inches). So no need to bring a crate if your dog requires a crate! I also have a large kitty litter tray.

About: I’ve been in love with fur babies for as long as I can remember. I currently have a 5-month-old Cocker Spaniel, and we’ve been inseparable ever since he came into my life. I truly enjoy taking my time, building trust, and creating a special bond with every fur baby I meet. Their time with us is precious, and I believe they deserve our undivided attention. Less screen time, more playtime, cuddles, exploring, and being present. I want every pet to feel loved, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own. Pet care is something I naturally incorporate into my daily routine. I understand that every breed has different needs, and I enjoy learning and paying attention to those little details. For example, my Cocker Spaniel has long ears, so I make sure he wears his snood during mealtimes and keep up with his ear-care routine. I also believe consistency is important. I like maintaining regular feeding and walking schedules so pets can feel comfortable, secure, and know what to expect throughout their day. To me, good pet care is about patience, attentiveness, and making sure every little one feels loved and at home. I am happy to play with them using their favorite toy and we cannot forget the treats! About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a young kid, as my family had a very energetic, strong medium sized dog. She taught me how to play with animals and proper care for female dogs. Most recently, I have gained experience with puppy care, as I helped raise our golden. Unfortunately, he passed this year after a bout with lymphoma, but that experience taught me how to care for a dog with a terminal illness, and how to love and support them through that time. I work full time 5 days a week, but I have ample time after work to care for your pet, with my weekends completely free of obligation. I am mindful and respectful of your wishes for your pet, as I was myself that pet owner that travelled with a large crate, frozen food, and a large bag full of things every time we took him to stay with a host. About: I have have dog sat my neighbors dogs since I could remember. I enjoy taking them on walks and engaging with them physically so they can be happy doggos. I currently work Part time so hopefully during my day I can meet your lovely pet(s) and give it all the TLC it needs. I know how important it is to exercise and get that energy out of your furry friend! My Boston Terrier can keep your doggy company. About: Hi! My name is Mark, and I'm currently a Master's student at Columbia University. I recently relocated to New York City and have been missing my cat, Zuko, and my dog, Jango, every day. I'm hoping to fill that pet-shaped void by caring for other people's furry family members through Rover! Dog Experience: I adopted my dog, Jango, about a year ago after fostering him through a local rescue organization. He was being fostered by my downstairs neighbor, and we formed an instant connection that quickly turned into a forever home. Like many young rescue dogs, Jango came with plenty of energy and a few mischievous habits—especially when it came to sniffing out unattended food (that's the Dachshund nose at work!). Since adopting him, I've invested countless hours into positive reinforcement training, consistency, and building good household manners. Friends and family have even commented on how much calmer and more well-behaved he's become. Because of that experience, I understand the importance of patience, routine, and prevention when caring for energetic dogs. I'm happy to reinforce the training and routines you're already using while providing your pup with plenty of exercise, attention, and love. Cat Experience: I adopted my cat, Zuko, when he was just 8 weeks old back in 2019 while I was in college. He's now a happy, healthy 6-year-old! As a first-time cat owner, I spent a lot of time researching feline nutrition, enrichment, and overall health to make sure he had the best care possible. Over the years, Zuko has had a few visits to the vet for urinary health concerns, so I've become familiar with recognizing early signs that something may be wrong and understand the importance of monitoring litter box habits. While he's now spoiled with an automatic litter box and feeder, I'm very comfortable caring for cats with traditional litter boxes, food and water bowls, and daily playtime and affection. I am currently a full-time Master's student at Columbia University on the Upper West Side, with classes Monday through Thursday. During the week, I'm available for evening walks, drop-in visits, or overnight house sitting after classes, and I'm happy to spend the rest of the evening keeping your pet company. My schedule is much more flexible from Friday through Sunday, allowing me to provide multiple walks, extended drop-in visits, or house sitting with full-time presence. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you're away. “Sofiya looked after our cat for a few days while my husband and I were out of the country and did a fantastic job! She was very communicative, and quick to reply to all messages. She also left us notes after every visit (we had her come twice a day) and sent photos and full, comprehensive updates about how Coco was doing and if she played, hid, napped, etc. Our cat has some specific quirks (i.e., only drinks water out of of the bath faucet) and Sofiya followed all of our directions perfectly. Our cat is in good health and does not require any regular medications, so this was not a requirement that was needed of Sofiya. Our cat is also fairly relaxed and while she does need attention, we did not ask that she be visited and fed at the exact time each day - more just once in the morning and once in the evening. Sofiya also proactively asked if she could come meet me and Coco before we went away which I really appreciated. It was nice to be able to observe how she engaged with our cat, and was so sweet and loving. I would highly recommend Sofiya based on our experience and will be asking her to pet-sit again in the future!”
