“Rachel was super communicative, on time and went above and beyond our instructions (washed food bowls before and after dinner, washed their water fountain and vacuumed). Would definitely book Rachel again!”

“She is absolutely the best! She was supposed to drop in for 30 minutes, but she spent several hours and even took my dog to the dog park because she knew I’m overwhelmed with the bar exam and moving🥹🥹🥹 I can’t thank her enough and highly recommend her.”

“Melissa was such a delight! She had to spend a few hours resolving an issue with the keys with the front desk, but she handled it professionally, which meant she stayed for way longer than the 30min slot. She also took excellent care of Canéle during several visits over a two-week period. I really appreciated reading her detailed notes and seeing the beautiful photos and videos she shared.”

“Randi was great! She Took care of our two cats while we were out of town for the week. She made sure to take photos and keep us updated with how they were doing the whole time!”

“Javier took great care of my cat for two weeks and was always kind, reliable, and responsible. I truly appreciate his dedication and would definitely ask for his help again. Highly recommended.”

“I couldn't be happier with Brynne’s work! She followed all of my instructions to the letter and truly went above and beyond to make sure Harley was well taken care of. It was so reassuring to see how well she engaged and played with my cat during her time here— Harley absolutely loved the attention. Her communication was excellent and gave me complete peace of mind. I would gladly book her services again without hesitation. Highly recommended!”

“I completely trust Calvin to look after my two cats while I’m away. I always come back to find them happy and well cared for. He responds quickly and scheduling a visit with him is always easy. I really appreciate his help taking care of my cats.”

“Birger did a fantastic job looking after my two cats! He was really easygoing and followed all instructions perfectly. He sent a ton of wonderful photos and I could see how happy my cats were hanging out with them. His report was detailed and I felt assured that they were doing well and cared for. Highly recommend!”

About: Experience walking and caring for dogs and cats. I have fostered several animals throughout college and have trained dogs of all ages. My own pet is AKC Caine Good Citizen Certified and I have a research background in dog Vet Care and can make adjustments to care based on breed and any current health issues. I make time to take my own pet out on adventures and I'd love to be able to take yours out for some fun as well! I'm vigilant of potential dangers with care for a pet outside of their home. I take notice of areas/ other pets to avoid and will physically step in to protect your pets boundaries.
About: Well to begin with, I have experience walking numerous dogs since the day I was born. My love for animals in general is immense, contributing to the positive well being of animals is my passion and being able to focus that into a career is something I would have never imagined simply by making sure dogs go when they need too. It all began by simply watching over dogs, and then it lead into feeding them and eventually I took it upon myself to walk them. The first dogs I took care of was a chunky miniature pincher and a 70 lbs pit bull terrier, I am not prejudice towards animals specifically dogs since they are in my field and I have years of experience with different breeds of all sorts. As I am a new LLC on the rise I am in the midst of obtaining my ARC certifications for the health and general knowledge of animals, considering on a professional level I take this very accordingly and not enough dog walking companies supply the same for their walkers. Being trustworthy, reliable, respectable, caring and cautious are few of the many traits I carry and endorse for my business in which I believe are critical in the dog walking business.Every dog is unique, just like a person I would not want to disrespect their space and have them catch a bad vibe from me. I like to make sure I build comfort with the dogs I work with considering not many may be comfortable with letting someone unfamiliar walk them, my specialty. Walking dogs for me personally is never something I like to do in a haste, I enjoy in executing my job correctly and efficiently. I make sure every walk is special at times they come back home with a better attitude than the dogs left in. My main goal for the dogs are exercise, safety, fun and making sure they use the bathroom enough. I am a full time dog walker and lifetime animal lover so meeting accommodations for him or her is never a problem. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile hopefully I gain the opportunity and trust of being able to walk your furry child! Taking care of pups is my daily life. I have my own pups so it comes to me naturally, to want to take care of others! I do this full time! First of all, i make sure the pup is as comfortable as possible make them feel as if the parents are home. I walked them as many times as possible, keep all their needs up to date & give lots of love.
“Mari was great to work with. It was my first time using Rover and I'm happy that I chose Mari. She asked me a lot of great qualifying questions about my pet and how I'd like the service to be handled. And then she followed through with all of the directions I provided. My cat Randy warmed up to Mari right away, which I could tell from the photos and video she sent to me once the stay started. I would highly recommend Mari for any of your pet sitting needs and I'll rely on her again when needed. Thanks Mari!”

“Susanna is an incredible sitter and was able to come in on time to check on our cat, Mila. She is very detailed with her visits and ensures Mila is a happy camper while we’re away. Thank you!!”

“Aniko took excellent care of my cat Penelope! Her updates were very detailed and she took awesome photos. My cat clearly felt very at ease with her. Thank you Aniko!”

“Lana was a loving mom to our cat Aeva! Lana not only gave food and cleaned poop, she played and spoilt Aeva until she purred contentedly... Lana even visited her twice on a day where she had a family event and is not business minded whatsoever!”

“Tori is very prompt, communicative, and friendly, and got along great with our cat. Our cat was eager to greet her and get lots of pets. Definitely looking forward to booking again soon!”

About: Hello, I'm Mike!!! I am a natural with dogs. I have been walking dogs for the last 10 years. I have helped take care of a chihuahua named Blacky, who was adopted and had trauma towards men. Blacky's trauma was so bad that he would bark at a mosquito. With a lot of patience, I began walking him and gaining his trust. I also helped another dog named Clyde. Clyde was aggressive, but by gaining his trust on walks, he lost his aggression. I am also a CKO kickboxing instructor, so I have lots of energy and stamina for an energetic dog for long walks and runs. I have always loved dogs, and I am happy I can work with them to make the world a better place, one dog at a time.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West New York
Bri came to our rescue, when our plans changed at the last minute. We didn't even have time to meet in person, but we came back to a happy and very chatty cat. We also appreciate dealing with the heat weave and switching the extra AC on. Hope to be repeat costumers.
If you’re lucky enough to book Chloe, do it. She exceeded every expectation I had. She didn’t just stop by to feed my cats; she genuinely cared for them. She made sure every task was completed, spent quality time playing with them, brushed them, kept everything clean, and sent the sweetest photo updates that made me smile while I was away. My cats looked completely relaxed and happy with her, which isn’t something they do with just anyone. It’s rare to find someone who’s this dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in your pets’ well-being. Chloe made being away from my cats completely stress-free, and I honestly can’t imagine using anyone else in the future. Five stars isn’t enough. I recommend her without hesitation!
Yisha is incredible with our cats. She makes you feel as if you are there with your pets through the amazing pictures she takes, really capturing their personalities. Yisha is extremely attentive to detail, quickly noticed the AC broke and was to install a fan to get our pets some fresh air while it got repaired. I could not recommend her enough.

My wife and I were out of the country for two weeks and we needed a new cat sitter. We were nervous to trust someone new, but Lauren did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our two kitties. She sent good pictures each day and our cats stayed happy and healthy. She even treated our cats to a new feather toy when theirs had broken. She went above and beyond.

I couldn't be happier with Brynne’s work! Highly recommended!

Kat is amazing with Beau and so reliable. I accidentally booked Kat’s stay wrong initially, and she was super helpful and flexible with figuring it out! She is extremely attentive and my cat Beau loves her. He is already looking forward to the next time they hang out!

Zoe took great care of my two cats and made sure they were happy, well-fed, and comfortable while I was away. She took the time to play with them and give them plenty of attention, and she sent regular photos and updates. She was reliable, attentive, and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter and would happily book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
