About: I have a genuine passion for dogs and and grew up caring for our beloved family dog for 15 years! Throughout that time, I took on the responsibilities of walking, feeding, bathing and playing with our dog. Over the years, I’ve also gained experience by walking dogs for friends and family members. I understand that each dog has its own unique needs and preferences, and I am committed to tailoring my care to ensure their well-being. I am also familiar with basic obedience techniques and can reinforce any training your dog is currently undergoing. I understand the importance of regular communication and can provide updates and photos of your dog’s activities and well-being during my time with them. Rest assured, I will treat your dog with the utmost care and provide them with the love and attention they deserve. I currently work a 9-5 schedule from my home in Hoboken, which gives me the freedom to have a flexible schedule suitable for dog walking during the day. I do not offer dog sitting services and I am only offering dog walking services at this time. Please disregard this section, thank you so much!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs (including my own, neighbors, friends, etc.) since I was 15 years old. Experienced in handling dogs on walks, playtime and feeding! I work a part time job and my schedule is flexible so I am usually be available during regular business hours as well as nights/weekends! I love all dogs and treat them with the love and respect that they deserve! I enjoy walking dogs, playing fetch/with toys and just hanging out with them in general!
About: I've been taking care of pets since the time I could walk. My own dogs are two small white ones (4 and 6), but I have extensive experience with pets of all sizes and ages. Neighbors and colleagues have trusted me with their daschunds, terriers, pitbulls, malteses, bichons, dalmations, basset hounds, and spaniels too. I raised two litters of puppies to adoption and saw a very old dog through her roughest days. I can care for other animals too. I kept a veritable menagerie – two cockatiels, two rabbits, a guinea pig, and a bichon – happy and healthy for a full two months while the family was traveling. I work remotely and I live right on the end of the path train line which means I can get anywhere in the city on a moment’s notice. Thus, I have the time and ability to give your fur-babies with the consistency and love that they deserve. At this time, I can’t bring more animals into my apartment but I can walk, feed, snuggle, play with and entertain your pets from the comfort of their own home.
“Katie took great care of my cats and was so communicative. Her updates were thorough and the pictures she shared calmed me as this was the first time I’d left them alone for this long.”

“John was great with my new puppy! He comes twice a day for a check-in/walk and was very quick and easy to communicate with. Met with John before the initial visit and felt very comfortable with him. Will definitely be using John in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life, and have cared for many more. I have experience with dogs and cats of all kinds! I work full time during the week, but am constantly squeezing in walks in the mornings and evenings. I also work remotely twice a week so am available to pop out for a walk during those days! My weekends and evenings are pretty flexible for larger needs! I’m very comfortable and experienced with pets. I can help feeding them, taking them on walks, and of course giving them lots of attention!

About: Hi! I'm Steve, a Hoboken resident for fifteen years. While I'm new to Rover, I bring many years of experience caring for my own pets and those of friends, family and neighbors. I understand that entrusting your dog or cat to someone is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable and happy in my care. My love of animals started early. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, chameleons, iguanas, and more. As a teenager, I worked at the Delmar Animal Hospital near Albany, NY, assisting veterinarians and helping care for boarded and recovering animals. Over the years, I've also rescued five cats and cared for pets of all ages, including administering certain medications when needed. These experiences taught me patience, compassion and respect for every animal. Professionally, I'm a photographer and filmmaker. The qualities that have helped me succeed in that field - reliability, empathy, attention to detail, and clear communication - are the same ones I bring to pet care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will care for your pet as if they were my own. As a freelance photographer and filmmaker, I enjoy a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate many pet-care needs, including weekends and holidays. Whenever possible, I'll do my best to work with your schedule. For those interested in learning a little more about me: Wedding Photography: churchill-downes-........ Commercial & Editorial Photography: ........ I am a caring, attentive, and responsible animal lover. When walking your dog, I stay aware of our surroundings, including other dogs, traffic, pedestrians, and anything on the ground that might tempt them to investigate or eat. I always follow each owner's preferences for interactions with other dogs, but I generally err on the side of caution and avoid unnecessary encounters whenever possible. Your dog's safety and well-being are my top priorities.

She provided daily updates with photos so we could see that our kitties were doing just fine. All in all, she has done a great job at looking after our kitties and providing timely updates, and we are grateful for her support.”

About: Hi, I’m Rita — a lifelong animal lover with a heart for pups and a head for details. I treat every dog like family, blending genuine affection with a calm, reliable presence that pets (and their humans!) can count on. Whether it’s belly rubs, long walks, or sticking to a strict medication schedule, I bring both warmth and responsibility to every visit. One of my proudest experiences was fostering Leland, a sweet pittie love bug, for nearly a year. Helping him grow in confidence and eventually find his forever home was a beautiful reminder of how much love and trust dogs give when they feel safe and cared for. That’s the kind of connection I strive to build with every pup I meet. With me, your dog gets more than a sitter — they get a new best friend. Pet care is my passion and priority—I'm available for evening walks all week, plus overnight stays and weekend boarding to keep tails wagging and hearts happy. I offer a cozy, yard-free home with indoor play, enrichment, and leashed walks. I am able to host one dog under 80lbs and two dogs under 30lbs.
“This was Delaney’s second time watching our cat and she did just as amazing of a job as the first time around. Our cat loves her and we’re comfortable knowing Delaney has cats herself. Highly recommend!”

Issac was PHENOMENAL !!!! I was so nervous leaving my cat while out of the country and Issac made sure I was in the loop every drop in. He was so kind and understanding of my baby and her quirks. She never came out to see him (she is nervy!!!! sorry issac!!) but he made sure to leave a treat and sit while calling her name to try and get her comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Issac for watching your baby!!!! He is the best!!!!

Chris helped look after our cats (with drop-in’s) during a recent trip, they both took to him instantly and we couldn’t be happier with the service provided. Our specific needs are pretty involved but you’d never guess it based on how easily everything came to him from day one. A genuinely kind and caring person who takes what he does seriously. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for help.

Jessica has taken care of our cat Mango for over a year now. She always sends great pictures and a detailed description, clearly cares about Mango’s well being, and is consistently responsible, reliable, and communicative. We feel so much more confident being away knowing that Jessica is checking in on Mango!

Xinyu was very responsive, professional, and most of all spent time with my cat! My cat is very easy to care for but she really struggles not having cuddles while I am away, and I always worry when she doesn't get cuddle time with a sitter! Xinyu seemed to put in the time to bond with her and sent me thorough updates. She treated my cat as if she were her own. I would highly recommend her services! My cat is looking forward to the next visit! ☺️

Anastasiia was incredibly communicative while taking care of my two cats while I was on a trip! She provided great peace of mind that my kittens were well taken care of. She kept them watered and fed and made sure their litter boxes stayed clean as well. I’d highly recommend her!

Amanda is a wonderful, professional sitter who exudes kindness from the moment you meet her. She is very thorough in assessing their needs, play styles, and what makes them the most comfortable. She was very reliable and provided thorough updates with many pictures and videos so that we were confident the cats were in good spirits. We would absolutely have her back and recommend her to others!

Flora has been amazing to our 4 cats while we were on vacation!! Always on time, takes pics of cats (even if they hide), food and/or any accidents, takes videos of cats and my cats loved her energy and took to her immediately ! I highly recommend her, I will definitely use her services for my next trip. She’s also very reasonably priced which is an added bonus!!

Annabel is the BEST pet sitter in NYC! she is extremely responsive, compassionate, and caring. she took care of my kitties and did an amazing job at following instructions on how to get into my building and how to feed and care for my kittens. 1000% will book again!

Excellent service! took care of my cat for my vacation, and the experience was wonderful. They were very punctual with the visits, kept the litter box spotless, and always left the food and water bowls clean. I received daily photos and updates, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away.

Katie did an excellent job watching my diabetic cat. She had watched him before he became diabetic so my cat was familiar with her (and loves her). When I reached out to see if she would be interested in learning how to administer his insulin and look after him again, she was quick to respond yes. She sent informative updates and I came home to a happy cat. 😸 will be booking her again in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
