About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and cat owner, so I’m very familiar with the different personalities, routines, and quirks pets can have. I offer dog walks and drop-in visits, and I always tailor care to what each pet is comfortable with :) My goal is to help your pets feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. I currently have a very flexible schedule since I am at home most days :) I’m available for check-ins and walks during weekdays and weekends As a pet owner myself, I know every animal has their own personality and little quirks! I take the time to learn their routine and preferences, whether they’re playful, shy, cuddly, or independent all while meeting their basic needs. I want them to be as comfortable as they can be while you’re gone.
“Katherine accepted a very last-minute New Year’s booking to take care of my cat, and she was fantastic. She was communicative from the very start and sent great updates and pictures of my cat every day. I will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“Rebecca is super flexible and accommodating. We were away for over 2 weeks and having Rebecca as our sitter put us at ease. She sent us pic update of our furbies daily and would communicate timely if she observed anything. We are grateful of her taking care of our furbies and providing updates. Would highly recommend her! Thank you Rebecca.”

About: I've been taking care of pets since the time I could walk. My own dogs are two small white ones (4 and 6), but I have extensive experience with pets of all sizes and ages. Neighbors and colleagues have trusted me with their daschunds, terriers, pitbulls, malteses, bichons, dalmations, basset hounds, and spaniels too. I raised two litters of puppies to adoption and saw a very old dog through her roughest days. I can care for other animals too. I kept a veritable menagerie – two cockatiels, two rabbits, a guinea pig, and a bichon – happy and healthy for a full two months while the family was traveling. I work remotely and I live right on the end of the path train line which means I can get anywhere in the city on a moment’s notice. Thus, I have the time and ability to give your fur-babies with the consistency and love that they deserve. At this time, I can’t bring more animals into my apartment but I can walk, feed, snuggle, play with and entertain your pets from the comfort of their own home.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have cared for dogs, cats, rats, fish, and ferrets since I was young. I’m patient, reliable, and love getting to know every pet’s personality. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them attention and comfort, I always make sure pets feel happy and safe while their owners are away. I’m currently available for pet care on Saturdays, Sundays, and one weekday each week depending on my school schedule. I’m doing this in my spare time because I genuinely enjoy being around animals. I’m reliable, flexible when possible, and will always make sure your pets get plenty of attention, care, and playtime. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and my client’s home. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I’m patient with animals of different personalities and treat every pet like they are my own. Creating a calm, loving, and trustworthy environment is very important to me.

About: Hi! I'm Steve, a Hoboken resident for fifteen years. While I'm new to Rover, I bring many years of experience caring for my own pets and those of friends, family and neighbors. I understand that entrusting your dog or cat to someone is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable and happy in my care. My love of animals started early. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, chameleons, iguanas, and more. As a teenager, I worked at the Delmar Animal Hospital near Albany, NY, assisting veterinarians and helping care for boarded and recovering animals. Over the years, I've also rescued five cats and cared for pets of all ages, including administering certain medications when needed. These experiences taught me patience, compassion and respect for every animal. Professionally, I'm a photographer and filmmaker. The qualities that have helped me succeed in that field - reliability, empathy, attention to detail, and clear communication - are the same ones I bring to pet care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will care for your pet as if they were my own. As a freelance photographer and filmmaker, I enjoy a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate many pet-care needs, including weekends and holidays. Whenever possible, I'll do my best to work with your schedule. For those interested in learning a little more about me: Wedding Photography: churchill-downes-........ Commercial & Editorial Photography: ........ I am a caring, attentive, and responsible animal lover. When walking your dog, I stay aware of our surroundings, including other dogs, traffic, pedestrians, and anything on the ground that might tempt them to investigate or eat. I always follow each owner's preferences for interactions with other dogs, but I generally err on the side of caution and avoid unnecessary encounters whenever possible. Your dog's safety and well-being are my top priorities.

“John has been great, very quick to answer, extremely reliable and consistent with hours visits. In addition, the daily pictures are a great way to see your pets while away. Highly recommend, thanks!”

“Victoria did her best to take care of Pipoca, my scared cat that doesn't like anyone. On her very last day Pipoca even came out of her hiding spot to say hi, which means she trusted Victoria (even faster than most people). To me that speaks volumes of Victoria as a person!! Will have to call her again (Pipoca doesn't like anyone so I can't let those she actually likes go away)”

“Aniko is wonderful and so good with our Samoyed. She is very attentive and communicative and asks for clarification - we trust her with our pup completely! We will definitely book again!”

“Gabriella was an amazing cat sitter! She was very attentive and loving to our cats. She even communicated with us every visit with some pictures and a quick status on them. We can't wait to have her over again and care for our little guys!”

“Catherine did a great job watching my cat, Mason, when I went away for the weekend. She was responsive on messaging and followed all the feeding instructions. I also appreciated that she brushed him and played with him. He seemed very content when I got home even though he doesn’t like when I go on vacation. We will have her back next time!”

About: I’ve been fostering cats for over 3 years (so far I’ve had a total of 10 cats in my care)! I’ve also babysat my friend’s dog several times (mainly overnight visits but also a couple drop-ins). My sister has a dog that I’ve also watched and spent a lot of time with. While I haven’t pulled the trigger yet and adopted a dog or cat (or both!), I truly enjoy spending time with these furry creatures. I treat your animal as if it’s my own, giving them my full attention and love I fully work from home in a 9 to 5 job with a lot of flexibility, so I’m able to step out for drop-in in your home or to give a lot of attention to your pet if boarding in my home. I own my condo so no worries about an overbearing landlord. I live on a quiet block with no neighbors above or next door to me, so overall a calm apartment to live in. Note that I am on the fourth floor, so three flights of stairs are involved. If your dog has trouble with stairs, my place may not be the best choice. I have around 800 square feet of space for your pet to explore and I also live within a 10 minute walk to 2 different dog parks.
“Melissa watched my two cats while I was abroad for over two weeks, and I always felt reassured that she was there for them! She’s very communicative and really spends the time to hang out with the cats. Thankful to have here and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Melissa again!”

“Ramona has dropped in on our cat while we’ve been away for a week +. She is very punctual and reliable and provided updates/pictures after each visit. We will continue to use her for our cat while we are away!”

“Delaney watched our cat a few times while we were out of town and took the time to play with her and give her attention. Delaney is a great pet-sitter given she is also a cat-owner so we would absolutely use her again if available. Delaney followed our instructions to the “tee” and our cat loved her for it!”

About: Hi, my name is Jess and I live in Hoboken. I’ve watched dogs and cats for friends many times over the years, and have great clients on Rover. I work from home so I am flexible to your needs. I love cats and dogs, especially since I work from home we can both keep each other company. I have experience administering oral medicine, watching elderly cats, and pets with quirky schedules/habits. I work from home full time so can be available any day pretty much any time depending on my meeting schedule. I can drop in any time or stay over since my schedule is flexible, whatever you need. I let cats and dogs come to me and sniff me out before petting and do not pick up any animals unless the owner confirms they are friendly and enjoy that.

Delphi did drop-ins for my two cats and was absolutely wonderful! She sent photos every day, followed instructions, and kept their food and litter area clean and tidy. My cats are usually pretty shy with new people, but they seemed to really love her! Would definitely recommend and will plan to book her again in the future!
This was our first time leaving our cat with a sitter and it went great. George was extremely responsive at all times and provided updates and lots of photos. Our trip was unexpectedly extended and when we needed an extra drop-in last minute George helped us out immediately.

Hannah is an amazing cat sitter. She has taken care of our little girl Miley a couple of times now and has done a great job every time. She has followed all of our directions and we come home to a very happy cat each time we’ve used Hannah. We highly recommend!!

Ashley is an excellent sitter! She cared for my 2 cats for over a week and gave them both plenty of attention, love and treats every day. She also did a great job with giving my senior cat his daily medication. Would definitely recommend and work with her again ◡̈

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
