Pet care experience

Cat Lady Who Loves All Dogs Too!

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in Kentucky, where I spent my childhood caring for dogs, cats, and even a few horses! I have been in New York for 10 years, and have spent that time dog and cat sitting for friends, family, and neighbors across the city. I'm also a cat mom to two wonderful little cats (Pigeon - 6 & Salem - 4), so I know firsthand how crucial it is to trust the person caring for your pet and understand the importance of routines and patience when it comes to our fur babies. As someone who loves being active, I'm always happy to tailor walks to your dog's energy level, and as a writer by profession, I know how much thoughtful communication matters! I love sending photo updates and little stories so you know your pet is happy and in good hands. My #1 goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm happy to reinforce any training you're working on and have experience with shy, senior, or anxious pets. I love learning each pet's quirks—whether that's a favorite toy, preferred walking route, or bedtime routine. I can't wait to connect with you and your fur child! I work from home most days, so I am happy to provide drop-ins, walks, and overnight care at my home!

Taylor was very responsive and accommodating for Ollie, he can be a difficult cat and has specific diet requirements but Taylor was there for him and he really enjoyed himself!

I’ve known Taylor for years, and I can’t recommend her enough! She’s incredibly responsible, kind, and genuinely loves animals. She’s the type of person who pays attention to the little things and makes sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Any dog would be in great hands with her, and I’d trust her with my own without hesitation.

I am the most at ease when Taylor is watching my cat. She genuinely enjoys taking care of him and shows him just as much love as her own cats. She takes care of everything and never seems to need to ask me much. She always sends my pictures of him and that’s exactly what I need. I would trust her with any cat, she has a way of gelling with them no matter if they are the most energetic and cuddly or the most independent and shy. Would recommend her to absolutely anyone.

I have two spoiled and very picky (about people) chihuahuas that can be a handful. Taylor won them over pretty quickly with patience and letting them come to her. Pretty soon she was like a favorite aunt. Walking them can also be a little tricky, but Taylor took all their idiosyncrasies in stride and was not put out at their less than socially acceptable behavior (every other dog is a mortal enemy, children must be avoided at all costs). In short, I would not hesitate to leave them with Taylor again, and a major plus was that she got along great with our cat, too.

Schedule

I currently work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Because I'm home for much of the day, I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship instead of leaving pets alone for long stretches. I hope to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment in a quiet three-unit building on the border of Ridgewood and Bushwick. My home is clean, calm, and a great environment for pets who enjoy a relaxed space to unwind. There are plenty of parks and tree-lined streets nearby for walks, and I love getting outside for regular exercise and fresh air. Since I work remotely, pets in my care receive lots of attention, companionship, and frequent potty breaks throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. Whether I'm hosting your pet, stopping by for visits, or taking them on walks, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for as if they were my own. I have two cats of my own and they get along with other pets super well! They love dogs and cats alike.

I love to go for walks, so your pup will stay active! There are quite a few dog parks by me, so happy to take your fur baby there if they are happy with that type of activity. For the cats, we will have plenty of wand toy time!
