About: Dogs are a part of the family and they deserve the best life possible through all the sniffaries and enrichment their hearts desire. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I currently have an aussiedoodle with special dietary and grooming needs and foster pups through MuddyPaws NYC. I only take 1 dog at a time (in addition to my own) so your pup gets the attention they need. While I’m not a professional dog trainer, I strongly believe in constantly and consistently training dogs through positive reinforcement only. I do not go to dog parks or let dogs off leash for their own safety and to avoid reactivity. I’m well versed in dog body language and believe mental enrichment activities along with physical exercise leads to a happier pup. I love taking pups to any place that is dog-friendly because they too deserve to explore the world and live their best lives possible. I have a flexible schedule during the week which allows me to care for all your dog’s needs and take them out for regular walks. It would be helpful to have a general overview of your pup’s personality and I’ll follow any instructions you have. To avoid reactivity and for safety, I do not take dogs into dog parks or let them off leash ever. I have a patio for smaller dogs (20lbs or less) to go outside but larger dogs are not allowed since it is 5 stories up and has a 4ft wall on 2 sides. I will care for your dog like they’re my own since they deserve the world.
“Arianna was amazing with my cat! She arrived right on time and I appreciated all the photos and videos she sent while I was away. Will definitely use her again!”

“As always, Roman was amazing , clear communication, super fast to respond, and he always has my back whenever I need a last-minute walk with my dog. He’s reliable, kind, and I always feel at ease knowing my dog is in great hands.”

“Monique was so compassionate and hooked a sit up for me last minute. She took great care of my cat and is such a lovely person, cannot recommend her enough.”

“Eileen was super friendly and communicative. She gave our more outgoing cat all of the attention she wanted, and she even made our our much more shy cat feel comfortable enough to come out of hiding for some pets! We've had sitters tell us that they didn't see our shy girl all week, so it's a big deal that she was ready to come out and meet Eileen after only three days!”

“Kaila was wonderful with my Nunzio, hes 10 weeks old and she checked on him while I was at work for 2 days! She snuggled, played, fed him and even worked on some training! She’s a lovely kind soul and we can’t wait to use her again in the future.”

“Katherine was available last minute to drop in on Beau and walk him. She followed instructions to the tee, was responsive, and took lots of pictures. We'd love to work with her again!”

“I've hired Elva multiple times now when I've been away and I know my cats are in good hands with Elva. It's clear from the pictures that my cats really enjoy her company.”

“Rachel is great with my cat Dot! She has some medical needs and is shy, so I really appreciate how Rachel gets the job done without making her too scared. It’s been great working with her!”

“Outstanding cat sitter. During a long trip I was on, Ryan sent me photos, videos, and reports that made me feel reassured that my cat was okay and warmed my heart. He played with him and took care of everything on the list. Highly recommend.”

“Jacqueline is an amazing and reliable sitter. I’ve been using her for years and she has always taken wonderful care of my cats. I highly and enthusiastically endorse her services.”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs for over 10 years, and always take a loving, friendly, and compassionate approach when it comes to pet care. I also have years of experience with watching and walking friends' dogs when they're away, making sure the dogs have everything they need and more. I also have experience with taking care of cats and rabbits! I work from home on Mondays and Thursdays and I'm around most weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). I will often be available on these days to care for your dog! I will follow any and all instructions you have for your dog while in your home, and will make sure they're getting the attention and care they need, from giving them walks, feeding, play time, and more. I'm very attuned to the needs of dogs, and know that I'd offer quality, reliable care for your pet.
“Mariana took great care of my two cats! She was very communicative, took tons of pictures, and seemed to genuinely care about the kitties. Would absolutely book with her again!”

“Martina was very easy work with - she responded quickly, asked all the right questions about food, litter, water, and vets, and sent us daily photo updates from each drop-in. We were worried about how our cat would fare while we were away for the holidays, and Martina definitely helped us enjoy our trip knowing that Mari had someone checking in on her.”

Birger did a great job watching our cats. He followed all instructions and went above and beyond in his service to play with my cats and give them affection during my absence. He kept the apartment clean and also fed my fish! Would definitely recommend him and I would like to use his services again for future trips should he be available.

Pato did a great job taking care of Bailey and Bacio. Bailey was a little shy per usual but did come out to eat his food while Pato was there so he was comfortable. When I arrived home, both Bailey and Bacio were relaxed and everything was in order which I very much so appreciated!

Kaili took care of my two kitties and betta fish for a week and was absolutely exceptional! Upon first meeting she asked important questions like what to do in an emergency. She’s super friendly and attentive, and spent quality play time with my adventure kitty, and my ultra shy cat warmed up to her shockingly quickly. Couldn’t recommend her more!! 😊

Devin is SO incredibly kind and gave our dog Hampton so much love and care during her visit with him. 🩷 She was so attentive to our dog’s needs, sent us photo updates, and really put her heart into looking after him, which is all a dog owner could ever wish for! She has such a kind and gentle nature and we loved having her watch Hampton for us. So grateful to have found her and will definitely be booking again soon! ✨

Ryota has been walking my 18-year-old dog, Bambi, every weekday for the past month, and I can’t recommend him enough. Bambi has trouble walking and has several health issues, and he has always been so patient, kind, and attentive with her. He’s consistently punctual, reliable, and flexible when I need to adjust the schedule. Knowing Bambi is in such good hands gives me so much peace of mind and has made a huge difference in my day-to-day life. I’m incredibly grateful for all the care he gives her.
Elizabeth was so great in helping me look after my cat Trixie while I was away for a few days. She was very communicative with updates each visit, even when unexpected circumstances happened, and sent plenty of pictures to keep me from missing Trixie too much while away. Would highly recommend Elizabeth for any future petsitting needs!

- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
