“Bridget is an amazing dog sitter! I really appreciate her attention to detail and the thoughtful care she gives my dog. She is reliable, attentive, and clearly takes her role seriously. I always feel confident knowing my dog is in such great hands. Highly recommend Bridget!”

“We highly recommend Michelle to care for your fur babies! We had a Meet+Greet with her before the drop-in appointment and our pups loved her instantly. They were happy to see her when she returned for the drop-in visit the following day. She followed directions exactly as we requested. She even arrived a little early which worked out well for us. We needed to turn our phones off about the time she was set to arrive. We were able to buzz her into our building because she took the initiative to arrive 15 minutes early. Michelle is very thoughtful and conscientious. She cleaned up after feeding the dogs and left the apartment tidy. Michelle sent us frequent status updates on how they were doing with photos. Michelle is a kind person who loves all animals! We will definitely book with Michelle again!”

“This was my first time leaving my cat alone and of course that came with a lot of anxiety. Tatyana was amazing! I felt completely at ease after just her first visit. She sent a bunch of photos and I could tell my cat was loving her too. I would highly recommend !!!”

“Emily was fantastic! She followed all instructions and even went above and beyond by bringing in some big packages that arrived and suggesting to turn on the a/c to make the room more comfortable for my pet. Couldn’t be happier.”

“Ryan was very kind and communicative; and very responsive. Our cats (including our shy cat) trust him and like him a lot. It was a pleasure working with Ryan!”

“Dandan is amazing! A true cat whisperer! She truly “got” our quirky cat. We loved the detailed and funny note every day as well as the photos she sent. She was reliable and followed the instructions to a T. Will definitely choose Dandan again!”

“Jonathan was punctual and arrived exactly on time. Whenever he needed to adjust the schedule, he communicated proactively and made sure we found a solution that worked for both of us. Most importantly, he took great care of our puppy. Nori warmed up to him immediately, and they got along very well. It was clear that he genuinely cared about her well-being and made sure she was comfortable and well looked after while we were away. Thank you, Jonathan!”

“Elena stepped in last minute and helped us take care of our cat, Ana, over Labor Day Weekend. Ana has IBD and Elena skillfully gave Ana her oral pill twice per day. She was timely, responsive and sent great updates that put us at ease over our time away. Would 100% recommend wholeheartedly!”

“I've hired Elva multiple times now when I've been away and I know my cats are in good hands with Elva. It's clear from the pictures that my cats really enjoy her company.”

“Martina stopped twice a day for a week to take care of our two cats and was amazing! She took the time to play with them, feed them, took plenty of pictures to send us, and proactively cleaned up before we got home. She was communicative the whole time and was quick to relay any issues to us - we'd love to have her back!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Manhattan
Jenny was absolute perfection, following every single detail of our care instructions without missing a beat. She kept us constantly in the loop with helpful updates and pictures so we always knew how our cats were doing. When unexpected changes arose with our cats' needs, she accommodated our last-minute extra requests. Knowing they were in such attentive hands made being away completely stress-free!

Tanya was excellent in checking in on our two cats!! She provided ample pictures, updates on their well being, and was very thorough in her descriptions. She asked very detailed questions in the screening, which speaks to her experience and care for animals. Our fur babies showed affection and curiosity with her right away! I would highly recommend booking her and plan to rebook with her in the future!!

Nicole is THE catsitter we always ask for help whenever we need to go on a trip. She makes sure she covers every note on the list, with lots of care and love. We very much enjoy the detailed Rover card and lovely photos she took with our cats! Thank you, as always!

Julia was an absolute gem throughout her time with my 12 yo cat! Ruby is very shy and did hide most of the time Julia was there (as expected) but Julia made sure to always snap a picture (some of which were hilarious), and monitor all food, Snack, and water intake to ensure she was eating and drinking normally. She also helped clean and organize packages delivered while I was away. Very grateful for her patience and time with Ruby!!! 10/10 recommend and will be booking again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
