About: I grew up around animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. More recently, my girlfriend and I have been caring for two cats of our own, so pet care is a regular part of my everyday life. I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, whether that means giving an energetic dog a good walk, spending time playing with a curious cat, or simply keeping a more relaxed pet company. I’m attentive to feeding instructions, routines, house rules, and anything else that helps a pet feel comfortable and secure. I’m also dependable and communicative, and I’m happy to send photos and updates so owners know their pets are in good hands. My schedule is fairly flexible, which makes it easy for me to fit walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and playtime into my day. I’m especially available around Lower Manhattan and can often accommodate both regular weekly routines and occasional visits when owners are away or busy. I take each pet’s routine and environment seriously and always follow the owner’s instructions closely. In a client’s home, I make sure doors and windows are secure, food and water are handled properly, litter boxes or feeding areas are kept clean, and pets get the right amount of attention, exercise, and downtime for their personality. I’m careful, respectful of the home, and attentive to any changes in a pet’s behavior. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is safe and comfortable.
“Elisabeth took such great care of my dog, Meadow, while I was away for the weekend. I was able to enjoy my trip not having to worry and knowing she would show her lots of love. She gave great pictures and notes as well.”

“Jesse was GREAT with Moby. He is clearly a dog lover and Moby, an anxious dog, quickly took to him. Jesse was also very responsive and responsible - wanting to make sure he knew everything he needed to know about Moby. Can’t wait to have him care for Moby again!”

About: Hi! I’m Daniela, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm, so I was surrounded by animals from a young age and learned early on that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. After moving to the city, I had the joy of raising my dog, Max, and my cat, Mia, from their baby days all the way through their senior years. Caring for them taught me so much about the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, patience, and, of course, lots of love and cuddles. As they got older, I also learned how important it is to pay attention to the little changes that help pets stay happy and comfortable. I know how much our pets mean to us because mine were family. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just having someone nearby to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I work remotely and so my hours are really flexible with the majority of them being outside typical EST hours (early morning or night time) Can easily crate your dog if needed. Happy to follow whatever directions are provided and am good at communication if I do have any questions I will reach out
“Mary is a fantastic cat sitter! She was so communicative & so great with my cat! She fed him, cleaned his litter, and played so much with him!! I also got so many great photos :)”

About: I’m very experienced in taking care of dogs with physical and/or mental disabilities, both my own dogs or dogs of family members/friends. I understand the strict nature of diets and medication times, and I have experience taking care of dogs post-op, whether it’s from their being spayed, back surgery, etc. What truly sets me apart, though, is that I have experience with epileptic animals. I have a Chihuahua who gets seizures, and understand common procedure to prevent the dog from hurting themselves, myself, or the property of the home. I’m also experienced with the detailed documenting of these events. I’m more well versed with small and medium dog breeds, and specifically I’m an expert with chihuahuas as I’ve owned two for eleven years! I’m currently in college with few credit hours. I don’t take classes on Fridays, and during the school week I have plenty of time in the mornings and evenings to take care of your babies! I’m very strict about medication times, feedings, potty breaks/walks, and play time with my own dogs, and intend to bring this discipline to your own pets. I’m also a very clean person, and will happily take care of any messes that may be produced by myself or your pet!
“Ava took great care of our cat! It was clear from her photos & updates that our cat was happy, healthy, and comfortable. Prior to booking she was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. We highly recommend Ava and hope to book with her in the future.”

“Melissa was awesome! I booked her last minute and she was my first ever Rover booking so admittedly was a little nervous, but she quickly put my fears away. She was patient with all my instructions, sent photos and a nice message after every check in, and always made me feel comfortable knowing Sal was in good hands. I would book her again! Thanks so much Melissa.”

“Over and above awesome. My babies got sick and not only did she clean them up for days, she took them to the vet and cared the whole way through my trip as if they were her own. Great find in a sitter!”

“This was our first time leaving our cat with a sitter and it went great. George was extremely responsive at all times and provided updates and lots of photos. Our trip was unexpectedly extended and when we needed an extra drop-in last minute George helped us out immediately.”

“I’m so grateful to Samantha for watching my cat while I was out of town. My cat can be pretty shy, especially around strangers but she really seemed to enjoy being around Samantha. She took tons of photos and incredibly detailed notes each day. I couldn’t ask for more.”

“Halley did a great job taking care of my cat! She sent detailed pictures and updates, and it was easy to see he was in great hands. I would definitely ask Halley to cat sit again!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was young, growing up around my neighbor’s Sheltie. Since then, I’ve dog sat a wide range of pups, from puppies to seniors. I’ve spent the most time with adult and senior dogs, including several with high anxiety and high energy. I’ve also lived with a senior dog myself, so I understand the extra care, patience, and routine that older pups often need. On top of that, I’ve dog sat for my parents’ Border Collie on several occasions, so I’m comfortable on a long, active walks. Add in my experience fostering rescue dogs, and I’ve learned to recognize what each individual dog needs. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible for walks, playtime, and routines throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s current schedule and will do my best to keep things consistent for them. On walks, I make sure their leash is snug and properly fitted to prevent any slipping. If they have a GPS tracker or AirTag, that’s even better peace of mind, since in the rare case they were to slip away, we’d be able to locate them quickly. In my apartment, I have great visibility on your pet at all times since I live in a studio, so I’m always aware and make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority.

“Bianca was SO great with my dog Lola! She never missed a scheduled day, came in routinely on time to check on her for drop-in visits 3 days a week, and would spend extra time hanging with Lola during their visits. Highly recommend :)”

“Vanessa is stellar. Incredibly communicative, considerate, really gets cats, and gave the most detailed check ins. Made me feel very secure and relaxed that my cat was in good hands. Planning to work together again already”

“I am so happy that I found Xiaochan to watch Mushu while I was away! She took such good care of her and always sent me plenty of pictures and kept me posted throughout. This was my first time leaving Mushu for an extended period of time, and I looked forward to receiving Xiochan's updates each day and really noticed a bond form between the two of them. My apartment was left spotless with a fresh litter box and a verry happy Mushu! Thank you Xiaochan!”

Booked Jessica for in-house visit to check-in on our cat for 2 days (30-minute/ visit). My cat immediately took a liking towards Jessica and felt comfortable around her. Jessica showed up timely, she followed said instructions on the cat's feeding schedule, and made sure all cat litter was appropriately disposed before my arrival. She shared pictures and other updates through the Rover card. Highly recommend!
I couldn't be more grateful for Ryota’s help while we were away on vacation. The pictures, check ins, and medicine administration helped us travel with more peace of mind knowing our kitty was in such great hands. I hope that the next time I need a Rover that Ryota will be available!

My cat Millie instantly fell in love with Madelyn! Madelyn was so kind and helpful when with my cat. She kept Millie fed, played with her and sent us updates every time which we really appreciated! I’m so grateful Madelyn was able to care for Millie. Thank you!
Marissa was absolutely incredible. Not only super kind and genuinely cares for your pet(s), but was always responsive and easy to work with. She has a great nature to her and from the beginning I felt that I could truly trust her with my pets care and wellbeing. I will absolutely be using her whenever I go out of town in the future. Cannot recommend her enough.

When my catsitting plans fell through and I was scrambling for help, Genevieve stepped in and took great care of my cat, Cashew! She communicated well and sent daily check-ins, and Cashew greeted me warmly when I got home. I highly recommend Genevieve to anyone who needs cat care.

Honestly Kate saved me this summer. We were away for a long period and the care she gave the kitties was amazing. She checked in regularly and proactively, asking all the right questions and ensuring that every need for the cats was met - including some details I had forgotten! She sent pictures and comments with every visit and went above and beyond, gaining the cats’ trust even with our more anxious cat. I would recommend her in a heart beat and hope to get her time again when we need. She’s absolutely who you want to entrust your pets to. Thank you, Kate!! You are a dream to work with.

Xinyu was amazing! Luna is very anxious and usually takes a long time to warm up to people, but she became so comfortable with Xinyu! She was incredibly kind, patient, and took so much time to make sure my cat felt safe and cared for. This was my first time using Rover since moving to New York, and I was nervous about leaving the country, but Xinyu made everything so easy. Her detailed updates and communication gave me so much peace of mind as a nervous cat mom. Also she sent so many pictures I could not of picked a better sitter! I would highly recommend Xinyu and will definitely be booking with her again!

Mohona was fantastic with our cat! She was very attentive, dependable, and made sure everything was taken care of while we were away. She kept us updated throughout her stay and it was clear our cat was in great hands. We came home to a happy cat and everything exactly as we left it. Highly recommend Mohona!
