“Had an initial walk together today with Euitae and his dog Winston, super friendly and they were both very good with my dog Neptune. Looking forward to more bookings with Euitae in the future!”

“Emily was absolutely wonderful with our scared and skittish rescue puppy. She is kind, patient and has a great understanding of animals and their needs. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Ryan did a great job looking after my dog Kira. He was timely with her walks, always ensured she had food and water, and if he ever had a question was not afraid to ask. She seemed in great spirits when I got home. Happy with his work.”

About: I treat every dog like my own, taking the time to understand their personality, needs and little quirks while making every walk fun and safe! I am available most of the time with a flexible schedule. I also work part time but I’m happy to coordinate around your pup’s needs! I provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment while following each pet’s routine and individual needs. I give them consistent attention, supervision, exercise, and care
About: I grew up having two dogs, a yellow and chocolate lab. They grew up with me until it was time to go to college. During college I would foster dogs for an organization called three dog night rescue. Currently, I take care of dogs who’s owners I’ve already established relationships with but looking to expand and have fun with your little one! I’m currently working part time both in the days and hours of the week so I’m extremely flexible in terms of walking hours and locations. I have a separate living room from the bed room so there is plenty of space for your little one to play and be comfortable. I live next to Riverside park and a short distance from Central Park so we could easily go for long walks.

About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for and training both dogs and cats, so being around animals just feels natural to me. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I’ve cared for everything from high energy puppies to anxious dogs and sweet senior pets. I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to focus on pet care. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy going on regular walks, so I’m able to provide dogs with consistent exercise, attention, and outdoor time. I take pride in creating a safe, caring, and reliable experience for every pet I look after. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment that matches each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions carefully, and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection throughout the day.
“Rachel was great with Ollie! She was so accommodating and easy going. Oliver is just a puppy and she did great with walking him while I was at work and giving him some time to play and eat! Updated me with pics and her visit thoroughly after which was very much appreciated! Will be booking with her again!”

“I needed a walker urgently and Mariana came through. Casey loves her walks with Mariana, so much so she waits by the door waiting for her. Working with Mariana has been smooth and effortless. Always reliable and wonderful. I don’t worry when she’s with Casey. She shares pictures, feeds Casey and even shares anything new she notices that day. Mariana is a godsend! I recommend her without reservation!”

“Bridgett takes great care of Nala! As a baby she has a lot of needs and Bridget is very attentive and not forcing her to walk when she’s too tired. We have hired Bridgett twice now and look forward to the next!”

“Artem was top notch! I needed help with walking one of my two dogs and Artem was able to step in last minute and save the day! We walked my two dogs together and Artem was full of interesting and enjoyable conversation. He was truly sincere about the well being of my pups and seemed to really enjoy being with them. I highly recommend requesting Artem when you’re in need!!”

“I highly recommend Christina for all your dog care needs! She was fantastic with Sam and it’s clear he’s very much in love. She’s conscientious and took lots of notes when we first talked about Sam’s care.”

“Lily was great. She has a ton of experience, and I felt confident she would take great care of my dog. My dog is very shy, and Lily did a great job making her feel comfortable and at ease. I will definitely be booking with Lily again.”

“Juan has been an amazing dog walker, and my corgi absolutely loves him. He is reliable, trustworthy, and always accommodating when scheduling changes come up. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with, and I always feel confident knowing my pup is in good hands. Juan is friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker.”

“We love Alanna! She is so good with our Senior dog, Honey, and great to work with. Alanna is reliable, easy to communicate with her and extremely responsible. We feel very lucky to have her and appreciate the time and care she takes with Honey each day. I high recommend Alanna if you're looking for someone to walk or care for your animal!”

Franco is awesome to work with. He clicked with my pup from the first time they met, and she probably looks forward to seeing him more than me! He brings her on thorough walks, plays with her, and sends pictures and notes about their walks. I can’t recommend him enough!

I had an issue with someone from Trusted House Sitters who was injured in the middle of their stay and could no longer walk our dogs. I sent out a panic mass request and Alex was the only one who came through last minute to walk our dogs twice on such short notice. Communication was fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
