About: I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats over the past 20 years, including my own three. I’m reliable, responsible and caring. I know how hard it is to decide on who is the right person to take care of your furry family member. I take that responsibility very seriously. I will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and your furry friend has the best time in my care. I’m very communicative and can send as many written or picture updates as you want. I have a flexible schedule - I’m a television producer who has worked for the same company for 14 years. I’m currently remote so can work around your schedule. Open to pet visits or play dates, walks, and check ins. Will of course provide my furry client with lots of rubs and playtime. I have experience with puppies and senior animals. I’m a television producer with a flexible schedule. I have worked for the same network for over 14 years. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. As a semi-retired professional, I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable, attentive care. I am available on short notice for new and existing clients. I typically ask clients to provide written care instructions, especially when there are multiple types of food, treats, specific feeding schedules or litter box cleaning preferences. This helps ensure that your pet receives care exactly as you wish and that no details are overlooked.
“Lane showed up for a very late notice walk and was great with timing and responsiveness, and had been a reliable and trustworthy walker for my (very old) dog Peanut. Peanut loves the walks, comes back tired out from a good walk and happy. Highly recommend!”

“I have a feeling Adolfo has become my pug’s new best friend. He has been diligently handling dog walks with us for a few months — great communication that shows a lot of love and care. If Dumplin is happy, mama is happy. Thanks, buddy!”

“Claire has been a godsend with my baby who broke her foot. She has taken her on slow walks and snuggled with her to rest her foot. I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing walker for our spoiled princess. Amazing!”

“Emily is so sweet, thoughtful, responsible and my dog also loves her! I’m scared to give her a rave review because everyone should use her and my dog wants her all to herself 😃”

“Mariana has been amazing so far! Our dog, Ella, recently completed a 6 week board and train program so there is a lot of training that we're working to maintain. Mariana has been great to work with and has been eager to learn more about the training that Ella has gone through so she knows what to do and when. It's easy to see that she has a passion and love for dogs. She's been reliable and easy to communicate with! Will definitely continue to rely on her when it comes to Ella's needs!”

I’m a reliable, attentive pet sitter who genuinely loves spending time with animals :) I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a slower, more gentle pace. I have experience handling different temperaments, routines, and needs including administering medications, managing allergies, and adapting to each pet’s unique preferences. Whether it’s a quick visit, daily walks, or longer stays, I’m always happy stepping in and making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I work a hybrid schedule with a lot of flexibility throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, walks, and care. About: Dogs are a part of the family and they deserve the best life possible through all the sniffaries and enrichment their hearts desire. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I currently have an aussiedoodle with special dietary and grooming needs and foster pups through MuddyPaws NYC. I only take 1 dog at a time so your pup gets the attention they need. While I’m not a professional dog trainer, I strongly believe in constantly and consistently training dogs through positive reinforcement only. I do not go to dog parks or let dogs off leash for their own safety and to avoid reactivity. I’m well versed in dog body language and believe mental enrichment activities along with physical exercise leads to a happier pup. I love taking pups to any place that is dog-friendly because they too deserve to explore the world and live their best lives possible. I am currently a full time stay-at-home dog mom and am flexible to care for your dog’s needs and can take them out for regular walks. It would be helpful to have a general overview of your pup’s personality and I’ll follow any instructions you have. To avoid reactivity and for safety, I do not take dogs into dog parks or let them off leash ever. I have a patio for smaller dogs (20lbs or less) to go outside but larger dogs are not allowed since it is 5 stories up and has a 4ft wall on 2 sides. I will care for your dog like they’re my own since they deserve the world.
“Ryan did a great job looking after my dog Kira. He was timely with her walks, always ensured she had food and water, and if he ever had a question was not afraid to ask. She seemed in great spirits when I got home. Happy with his work.”

“Brandon was amazing with my dogs! One of my dogs is very shy and usually takes a long time to trust new people. Instead of rushing her, Brandon was incredibly patient and gentle, giving her all the time she needed to feel comfortable and safe. By the second walk, she was already excited to go with him and came back super happy! He’s reliable, caring, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs with him. I’ve already recommended him to friends and booked more walks with him. Highly recommend!”

My home provides a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for cats. Next to the perch is a basket full of toys to keep them active and engaged. I maintain four litter boxes that are cleaned three times daily to ensure a clean environment. Tara is awesome!! I needed a couple of last minute walks and Tara was super responsive. On top of sending lots of updates/pictures throughout the walks, she also went above and beyond and stayed out with kiwi longer, which I really appreciated. Will definitely rebook in the future <3

I can’t recommend her enough! This was a last-minute booking, and even though I accidentally submitted the wrong address, she was incredibly understanding, flexible, and went out of her way to accommodate us. She was patient, communicative, and made the entire process completely stress-free. Most importantly, my dog warmed up to her right away and was happy and comfortable in her care, which gave me so much peace of mind. She clearly has a natural connection with animals and genuinely cares about their well-being. I’m so grateful she was able to help on such short notice. If you’re looking for someone reliable, kind, trustworthy, and truly great with dogs, I would absolutely recommend her. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Artem is very reliable! He has been our go-to sitter for awhile now and has always cared for our dog Theo who is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. Artem knows his needs and makes him feel comfortable at every visit, we highly recommend him as the local UES dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
