“Bridgett takes great care of Nala! As a baby she has a lot of needs and Bridget is very attentive and not forcing her to walk when she’s too tired. We have hired Bridgett twice now and look forward to the next!”

“Ela was SO fantastic with Destiny. She took the time to come meet us at our home and learn all about her routines and triggers. Destiny was smiling from ear to ear after their first walk together. I know she’s in good hands!”

“I have been working with Brandon for the past couple of weeks while I have been fostering a puppy, Zen. I cannot say enough good things about him! First off he is great with Zen. He treats Zen as if he’s his own. Brandon has helped build Zen’s leash skills. He very patient with him and encouraging. He sends me great notes about the walks and Zen’s overall behavior. I look forward to working with Brandon with other foster pups or my own. Yours is in good hands when with Brandon. I can’t recommend him enough.”

“Elva was great with Tillie while I was out of town. Tillie looked forward and enjoyed her walks with Elva! Elva has great communication and would definitely refer her!”

“Olivia was great with our two-year old doodle Rosie. Rosie is shy with new people, but Olivia was patient and kind and Rosie warmed up to her quickly. Olivia was also very responsive, responsible, and timely, despite a last-minute request on our end. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Great first experience. Nicholas was prompt, friendly and understanding. Roxxie was happy to see him and had a good walk. We will definitely be a return customer.”

About: I am a lifelong pet owner with hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I currently have two cats and a dog of my own, so I understand the importance of reliable, attentive care and keeping pets comfortable in their routines. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience. My schedule is very flexible, and I am available throughout the day, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Because I have open availability, I can accommodate last-minute requests and provide dependable care whenever needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines to help pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I provide fresh food and water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, and plenty of attention and affection. I treat every home with respect, keep owners updated with messages and photos, and make sure their pets receive the same level of care and attention that I give my own animals.

“Emily was absolutely wonderful with our scared and skittish rescue puppy. She is kind, patient and has a great understanding of animals and their needs. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Christina was absolutely wonderful with my dog Bailey! She sent pictures and kept me posted on everything. She’s so friendly as well! My dog was in great hands!”

“Mariana has been amazing so far! Our dog, Ella, recently completed a 6 week board and train program so there is a lot of training that we're working to maintain. Mariana has been great to work with and has been eager to learn more about the training that Ella has gone through so she knows what to do and when. It's easy to see that she has a passion and love for dogs. She's been reliable and easy to communicate with! Will definitely continue to rely on her when it comes to Ella's needs!”

“Ryan did a great job looking after my dog Kira. He was timely with her walks, always ensured she had food and water, and if he ever had a question was not afraid to ask. She seemed in great spirits when I got home. Happy with his work.”

“I highly recommend Christina for all your dog care needs! She was fantastic with Sam and it’s clear he’s very much in love. She’s conscientious and took lots of notes when we first talked about Sam’s care.”

“Christina is the sweetest, most trustworthy person I’ve met in quite some time. She is always punctual, very communicative, sends pics on her walk, and is so kind to my dog! You can tell she’s a true animal lover! We are so lucky to have Christina as our walker now for our girl Maybe! 🩷🩷🩷”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Manhattan
Rachel is the best! She covered for us when we were in a jam when our dog-walker quit on us with very little notice. Super communicative, and super patient as Coco can take some time warming up to people coming into our apartment for the first time. Very reliable!

Juan is fantastic with my pup, Wally. Wally, a mini dachshund, can be bark-y and slow to warm up to people. Juan has been incredibly patient with him and understands his quirks. He’s also very communicative — always giving updates and letting me know how the walks go, which puts my mind at ease.

Jamie was amazing! He was easygoing, communicated clearly from the very beginning, and made the entire experience stress-free. I felt completely comfortable and confident leaving Mr. Lucky in his care. He kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, and seeing how happy and relaxed Mr. Lucky looked gave me so much peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Jamie with Mr. Lucky again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
