About: I have grown up caring for many different types of dogs, from puppies to rescues. Most recently, I had the privilege of caring for a my favorite fella, a collie, until his final days as a senior at 16 years old. Since his passing I have not yet rescued another baby, but I spend time volunteering as a Level 2 Dog Companion at ACC. I have completed Fear Free Trainings with the Shelter as well as various other trainings that involve caring for, navigating, and managing more complicated dog behaviors that include leash reactivity, dog reactivity, fear and anxiety, shyness, among others. Notes about my specific availability: Wednesday and Thursday: from 3-6pm only and intermittently Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 11am -3pm only I just finished my doctoral degree and teach part-time. My teaching schedule typically resides Mon - Thursday at varying times. I spend much of the rest of my free time working at home or taking walks in the city. When caring for a visiting dog, I devote the majority of my time engaging with them. I do not have a yard and live in an apartment. I have taken the extra effort to provide toys, and a bed for visiting friends. I am attentive to potential hazards and take the extra effort to dog proof before a visitor. The few small plants that I have are pet safe, and I only use pet safe products in my home.
“Emily is so sweet, thoughtful, responsible and my dog also loves her! I’m scared to give her a rave review because everyone should use her and my dog wants her all to herself 😃”

“Kate is so sweet, patient, and gentle with my very nervous dog! Great communication, super punctual, and overall professional. Definitely recommend her services!”

“Roman was great with Arthur. He agreed to meet up prior and introduce himself to Arthur. He’s been easy to contact and flexible. He is now my recurring walker for the week!”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life and now have my own boy, Larry. I’m new to rover after using rover for my own pup but I am very comfortable walking all kinds of dogs whether they are friendly or ver nervous. I also have some expertise giving medications to dogs as well! I currently work Monday-Friday 9-5 so I would be available weekdays after 6pm. I have random wfh days that I would also be able to leave for a bit to walk your dog! On weekends I am generally available depending on my schedule! I am not able to take dogs in my house however, in someone else’s house, I will abide by any and all rules to keep your space clean and respected!
“Alexis is the best! She's done both walking and house-sitting for our energetic yellow lab, and I can tell that our dog is having all her needs met and also having a great time with her. Bonus points for the truly spectacular photos and updates from their adventures together!”

“Had an initial walk together today with Euitae and his dog Winston, super friendly and they were both very good with my dog Neptune. Looking forward to more bookings with Euitae in the future!”

“Wei walks our pup on a weekly basis. She’s reliable, attentive, caring, and she provides quick updates on each walk including photos so you’re aware of where they went and what they did with each walk. She also flags any concerns or additional notes that may be helpful to know, as needed. Her experience with having her own dog is a huge plus for us as she knows the ins and outs of caring for a dog.”

“Bridgett takes great care of Nala! As a baby she has a lot of needs and Bridget is very attentive and not forcing her to walk when she’s too tired. We have hired Bridgett twice now and look forward to the next!”

“I am so happy I reached out because they were so helpful on such short notice and took great care of my dog Onyx! Very punctual and Onyx was very happy to see them. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have been a meaningful part of my life from the beginning! Growing up, my sister and I cared for my families English Setters and she now owns and operates Common Ground Canine, a dog boarding, training, and field trialing company based on her acreage in Minnesota. While I chose the city route in life, dogs have an equally important place in my heart! I have provided full-time care services, walking for breeds as diverse as chihuahua and mastiff, and boarding in my home. I am thrilled to join Rover to be able to connect with people and pets in my new home, NYC! I would’ve honored to share some of the love your special pup has to offer! I promise to treat you and your pets with the utmost care! 🐾💗 I am a dancer and fitness instructor (does your dog want to join on a run?) so my schedule varies week to week. I am most likely always available during the day but the best way to know is just reach out! I’m flexible and would love to make something work! Safety and comfort of the dog is my number one priority. I aim to keep their routine as close to normal as possible while getting them some exercise!
“Lorraine is truly a Star! She understands dogs so well and knows when to let dogs enjoy, explore, play and when to hold them back. She has been a lifesaver for me - I injured my hand and Lorraine walked my Dobe and her bff the mastiff several times for me. Feeling lucky to have found such a wonderful person!”

“Claire has been a godsend with my baby who broke her foot. She has taken her on slow walks and snuggled with her to rest her foot. I’m so grateful to have found such an amazing walker for our spoiled princess. Amazing!”

“Adolfo is very detail oriented, and picks up where I leave off, e.g. making sure there’s enough light for my pet and they’re water is always full. If I forget something, he remembers, and it makes a huge difference. All in addition to reliable and meaningful walks around the neighborhood!”

“Marie is a reliable and attentive sitter & walker to my 2 dogs. One of them is especially difficult at times and Maire is patient and creative with her idiosyncracies. I trust Marie to take care of my babies when I cannot. 1000% recmomend”

“Nataly was responsible and had clear communication. She went above and beyond to help our dog adjust to moving into the city and took extra time to ensure he was comfortable. When he hurt his toe nail shortly before the booking she was happy to adjust her care to his needs. Greatly appreciate her professionalism!”

Katelynn is incredibly helpful, reliable, and flexible. I wasn’t feeling well and needed someone to walk Bobby on very short notice, and Katelynn was so accommodating and made everything easy. I really appreciate how dependable and caring she is with Bobby. Highly recommend Katelynn!

It has been such a delight working with Mel. I was such at ease knowing I can trust my little fur baby in her hands my vacation was peaceful and magical... ✨️✨️✨️ Mel communicated/shared photos with me at all times making sure I was in peace. I recommend Mel to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter as she is very polite, punctual, loves animals and very professional.

I booked Euitae pretty last minute and he was immediately responsive and helpful. He set up a meet and greet that day outside my building. He was great with Ozy, and communicated with me at the start and end of their walk. I would definitely leave Ozy with him again
